I am sort of a high maintenance patient and I had a lot of requests and anxiety but he was patient with me, and so was his staff, and they dealt with all my issues. I really appreciated that. My 17-year-old daughter also got her wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Smith, and once again everything went perfectly. I also got all my billing questions and needs addressed by the staff. There's actually one thing I want to mention that really sets Dr. Smith above the rest, his honesty. I had come with another quote from a different oral surgeon who wanted to charge me for every tooth that needed PRP. Dr. Smith was kind enough to give me a very fair flat rate for all three teeth. That was very honest and a good business practice and I appreciated that. Dental work and especially oral surgery is already so expensive but you can trust him and his staff.

I recovered in just about 4 days and am completely feeling better after 7 days. I totally recommend if you have a teen like me needing to get their teeth out! I also don't know if this is common or not but I didn't feel any holes in my mouth if I had any! He stitched it up very nicely and I never felt like I had food collecting in my wholes and I felt that the stitches he added are what made my recovery go so smoothly. Super grateful for Dr Smith and his team!

One of those wisdom teeth were sideways and near jaw muscles. Damn, thing bled for a minute, but it was because I had the gauze in the wrong spot! BUT, everyone there was great. Had great meds after and didn't even need more than one painkiller to help eat the first day! Take it from me and I've been under at least 4 times. Anesthesia was the perfect amount! Didn't wake up like I was back in college after a bender and didn't feel much the first night. His staff was great! Shout out to Evaristo, Luiza and Melissa! They were the great staff who got me through my extractions. They called the afternoon of my surgery and gave me suggestions to keep pain-free! Great team! Great doctor! I'd go again if I could, but won't need his services anymore!

It wasn't a 5 star experience and I wish I had gone somewhere else. My nerves on the right side of my chin were damaged from the wisdom tooth extraction and it's been more than 3 years now. It feels like a spot on my chin is still under anesthesia. Slowly I just got used to it and I don't even notice it now until I think about it. I'm not sure if there's any operational error or nerve damage is just part of the risk of such a surgery, because someone I know who went to another surgeon also had nerve damage in her tongue. Wisdom tooth extraction definitely involves risks because it's actually a major surgery. Spend time to do some extensive research to find a highly rated doctor before it becomes an urgency! Besides that, things went okay. I had general anesthesia and went to sleep in 10 seconds, and woke up right after the surgery was done. My wounds healed very well with no complication. The pain was very manageable that I didn't even need the prescribed 500mg ibuprofen. My recovery process went well. So, I can't say if it's the doctor's fault really. But having nerve damage definitely would not make this a 5 star experience lol. I'm sorry if you happen to have nerve damage. It can be scary at first, but our brains do an amazing job to tune it out. I don't notice it's there anymore until I actively think about it! I don't wish this on anyone but if it happens it's not the end of the world! :-)

I walked over from my dentist, they were able to get me in the very next day. I was treated so kindly. They did everything to make me comfortable, gave me the best neck pillow, one for my knees and also had great music playing. Dr. Finn is very kind, gentle and funny. She did a fantastic job numbing me up, made sure I was comfortable as my nerve was on fire. I didn't feel a thing. They gave me a little rest break and I was in and out of there in no time. My first experience was very complicated as the last dentist left a little piece of the tool in my canal. I told Dr. Finn I really wanted to save the tooth. She wasn't sure she would be able to retrieve the instrument but she did and I have never had an issue again with that tooth. So in summary, if you ever need a root canal, please don't be afraid and go see Dr. Finn. Thank you to everyone on staff

From the front office staff to the clinical team in the back, everyone is professional, kind, and incredibly well run. Let's be honest--no one likes getting a root canal. Sometimes they're just necessary. My first experience with Dr. Sherman was during an emergency when my own dentist wouldn't do the procedure, and that's how I found him. More recently, I had another root canal that wasn't an emergency, but still came with plenty of stress. I brought my headphones and listened to relaxing music while Dr. Sherman did his magic. I'm not even kidding--at one point I'm pretty sure I fell asleep! Before I knew it, the procedure was done and I was on my way. Having someone so skilled, calm, and trustworthy makes all the difference when you're feeling vulnerable in the dental chair. I'm truly grateful for Dr. Sherman and his entire team. Thank you for such outstanding care!

This history included the fact that I'm pregnant. I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment to make sure check-in was complete, and they still had not verified my insurance. They informed me that the dentist wanted to perform x-rays before my routine cleaning, and I let them know I was not comfortable with that considering I am in first trimester of pregnancy and I would like to proceed with a standard cleaning and save the x-rays for after delivery. Waited another 30 minutes for them to say that the dentist would not do even a basic cleaning, despite the fact that I am healthy, and X-rays are not medically necessary. The only reason they gave was that it has been a while since my last X-rays so the dentist was insisting that x-rays be done before a routine cleaning. What a silly reason. Not a medical or clinical justification, just, "it's been a while." They also did not think to let me know in advance that this would be required even though I included it on my E check-in information. I wasted over an hour and took time off work to be here only to find out that they will not help me. I understand the Dentist wanting to have as much information as possible to do a thorough exam as X-rays provide information about oral health that you can't see otherwise. I even understand they may fear liability if something is missed without the X-rays. However, if a Dentist truly cares about the oral health of a patient, don't you think providing at least a routine cleaning is better than doing nothing at all? It appears at this office the ability to bill insurance for x-rays is more important than actually helping the patient. Although the risks of harm by an xray to a growing fetus is relatively low, why would I take on any risk at all? For moms who want to skip X-rays due to pregnancy, keep in mind that this office is only able to accommodate the needs of non-pregnant people.
