First time home buyer here. Work with Jon if you ever get the chance! Long before I was committed to the search, Jon was happy to talk me through the process and answer all my questions. There were some stops and starts as I figured out what I wanted and what was possible. Through it all, Jon was patient and available. He was very attentive to the 'wishlist' I had for a new home and I felt he was always on the same page in finding good prospective properties. I never felt pressured to make a decision. In fact, during the many open houses Jon and I went to, he gave me great space to first form my own impressions before asking what I thought, answering any questions I had and then drawing my attention to all else that needed consideration. Jon was a delight to spend time with during the search and I feel he has a genuine interest in seeing properties; to help his clients but also just to better understand the ever-changing market. When it came time to make an offer I continued to feel that I was in great hands. The property was very competitive, with a lot of interest and a fast-paced timeline. Jon was up to the challenge of guiding me through this and representing me in discussions with the seller. He was immensely helpful in deciding on a competitive offer amount, connecting with all involved parties and getting through all the paperwork. It's hard to imagine a smoother process thanks to Jon! My gratitude goes out to Jon and I wholeheartedly recommend working with him. read more

Jon Iddings was our excellent, over the top, attentive, Compass agent during the past 7 months, as we looked for a condo in San Francisco. He was always available, flexible with his time, and so thoughtful with giving us great advice with each property we toured with him. I felt like Jon worked exclusively for us!!! He proactively prepared us with each property 's details, providing so much insight to the San Francisco Real Estate market. We would recommend Jon to family, friends, and colleagues in a heartbeat, looking for a new home in San Francisco. We worked with Jon for 6 months to buy our house. We wanted a very specific type of property in San Francisco and Jon had a lot of knowledge not only of SF real estate but also what we needed to consider for the property we were buying. He correctly identified when we needed to get more expertise knowledge for the specifics of SF real estate law. At every point in the process where we needed a resource, he had recommendations of competent colleagues we could work with. When we did finally identified a property we wanted, our initial offer was rejected, but Jon's plan and negotiation skills were exactly on point. Using the timeframe and tactics he identified we closed on the property at our initial offer price. Not only does Jon have a strong understanding of the real estate market and good negotiation skills, he is also a very nice person and easy to work with. read more

My husband and I are first time home buyers and originally met Jon from an Open House listing on Zillow. Up front I told him we weren't ready to buy a home anytime soon but wanted to get started on the process. Jon assured me that was alright and offered to discuss the overall process with me and answer my questions. He then took us to coffee the following weekend and attended an open house with us. He never once pressured us or made us feel like we were wasting his time. In fact, for the next 2 years Jon kept in touch with us regularly. He set us up with a weekly email summarizing new listings. Originally we were looking in San Francisco but gave in to the suburb pressure and moved down to Redwood City. After a year leasing an apartment we became serious house hunters. We gave a Jon a call and walked him through our short list. For the next few weeks he would call us and walk us through the comps in the area, talk strategy for placing offers, and speak with the sellers agent. Finally! We could a new construction condo in Belmont. Jon agreed to drive down and meet us for a walk through. During the walk through Jon took note of the various notes from the sellers agent: offering price of the storage locker, exclusive use patio area, and potential area for sellers credit. My husband and I decided to make an offer. Jon was there to help us move along quickly. He also successfully negotiated a sellers credit. As the process moved along, my husband I decided to purchase a storage locker at the $4k quoted price but the seller replied that the price was actually $8k and he had misspoke during the walk through. Jon stepped in immediately and made sure the seller respected the $4k. Jon was also there to help us update engineering renderings to accurately show the exclusive use patio was marked as 'exclusive' and not 'common area'. Up until the end, Jon was attentive, patient, and a hard worker!! As we conducted the final walk through, we noticed a few large gaps in the baseboard and floor but the seller didn't want to fix it. Jon pushed and got us an additional sellers credit. On the day We signed the closing papers (Valentines day) - Jon drove down from San Francisco to San Carlos to meet with us. Can't say enough great things about Jon! He's human, friendly, down to earth, professional, and reliable. We'll definitely be working with him in the future. read more

Jon Iddings- Compass - Real Estate Agents Near Me - San Francisco, California

Jon is a true professional and very dedicated real estate agent, he helped us planned, project managed and sold our condo in SOMA & we got an offer above asking in 5 days only (even during this Pandemic time when all tech companies are leaving the city!) all I can say the execution of extremely flawless. Last but not last, Jon also helped us bought a single family house at the very competitive Bernal Heights. He is truly amazing as both seller's or buyer's agent. Jon is also very approachable and responsive. I am very pleased with Jon's performance and I would recommend him to anyone who would like to buy / sell in this most competitive San Francisco market. read more

Jon was an absolute pleasure to work with from beginning to end of the home buying process, and we cannot recommend him enough. We are two first-time homebuyers who started with very little knowledge of the process. I met Jon at an open house when I was just starting to get a feel for the market, and he went out of his way to spend time speaking with me at length, explaining some basics and nuances about real estate in San Francisco, and collecting my contact information. It was immediately clear how experienced he is, especially in this particular market. He was understanding when I said I was at least 6 months away from looking more seriously, and sure enough, 6 months later, he proactively reached out by email to check in and set up a call to see if he could help further. This proactiveness and availability remained a constant throughout our interactions. Jon did an excellent job of helping us refine our search criteria and sending us relevant properties. When he accompanied us to showings, he was adept at pointing out assets and issues at properties that I would not have noticed on my own. In fact, when we had the home inspection on the property we eventually bought, we found that Jon had already pointed out to us most of the findings that the inspector documented. He also stood out as a strong advocate for us who ended up negotiating for a better deal on our eventual property than we had originally anticipated. As a bonus, we found his recommendations for all the other people involved in this process (mortgage banker, home inspector, title company) to be similarly skilled and easy to work with. Overall, we found Jon to be patient, a clear communicator, highly responsive, and simply a warm and kind person to have on our team throughout this process. We will be recommending him to our friends and family with the confidence that their experience with him will be equally wonderful. read more

We met Jon at an open house about 6 months before we were ready to get serious about making a purchase. We were instantly impressed by his ability to key into specific preferences in what we were saying and seemed interested in getting to know our needs above everything else. We asked him to be patient with us in the beginning and his professionalism and respect for our timing was refreshing. During the buying process, he allowed us to explore each area of the city while also offering critical insight along the way. He is a high level and knowledgeable professional and makes the whole experience run more smoothly! Highly recommend him as an asset to any SF buyer! read more

Jon is excellent at what he does. Knowledgeable, organized and patient. I would recommend him to anyone, especially first time buyers. We met Jon early in our condo search when we didn't yet have a clear vision of what we were looking for but he was extremely helpful not only with regard to the buying process but with insights into the very buildings we'd been considering. We felt immediately that he had our best interest at heart, he listened to us, understood what we wanted and also offered very valuable advice when we needed it. Once we all agreed on the right property, Jon negotiated a great price for us as well. I can't stress enough how easy Jon is to work with. He is very patient and we felt comfortable putting our trust in him. read more

As a first time homebuyer, I was nervous to jump into the San Francisco real estate market. Luckily I had Jon in my corner through all of it. From the very start, Jon made the process of homebuying accessible, easy-going, and informative. His understanding of the nuances of the San Francisco housing market specifically are unmatched and accurate, even when adding on the uncertainties presented by a global pandemic. He is friendly and honest, both personally and with his real estate knowledge, providing first-time homebuyer learning opportunities and a critical eye as it is needed. Jon was willing to work around the clock to help find the right unit for me, and frequently met me at viewings on very short notice. Thanks to Jon I am now in a unit that has checked all of my boxes, including achieving a final price well within my budget. He continues to provide support even after the ink has dried. He found me a unit so perfect that I hope to never leave, but if I do I will certainly be calling him. I highly recommend him. Grace S. read more

Jon is the ultimate San Francisco agent. His knowledge of each neighborhood in the city is a testament to his years of experience. He was so kind and patient with us while we searched for a home for our daughter, and understood exactly what we were looking for. In the end, thanks to Jon we found the perfect place in a great neighborhood! read more

Our family story with Jon began back in 2013 when he represented my wife and I purchase our first property together, it was a 2 unit Victorian in SF and we had the intention of condo converting. Not only did Jon make the buying of the property super stress free, his knowledge of working through the conversion process was a massive help down the road... Fast forward to 2019 when we decided to relocate our family from SF to SD, Jon again was our representative when we wanted to sell our converted condo. We were in a position where we needed to sell and move out of SF at the same time and Jon was able to explain every detail of what needed to happen, Jon was also able to get the sale of our condo completed with literally zero stress to me or my family. During the negotiation process Jon was super communicative and left no stone unturned to get us the exact deal we were looking for... SF will be forever in our hearts but we could not have been happier with the overall sale of our place and the experience we had with dealing with Jon through every step of our journey... I would 100% recommend Jon to help anyone I know with the sale or purchase of a home. read more

Jon has been excellent for me as a first time home buyer. Communication has been very easy, he made himself available to help for even minor things, he was able to get us to see units with last minute notice, and on top of that he has a vibe of bliss at all times. Highly recommended. read more

To say that Jon was instrumental in the purchase of my house would be an understatement. After having worked with 4 agents in 7 years, Jon was such a welcome change to the usual real estate agent schtick. Instead of just sending a link to MLS listings and going MIA until you were ready to place an offer, Jon actively helped me search for new houses that might be of interest--including new areas I hadn't considered--and made every effort to meet me at each open house to walk through it and talk about it with me. I never felt like I was on my own, nor did I ever feel like he was somehow doing me a favor by taking time to show me houses or answer any questions I had. In the end, it took me over a year to find and buy a house, and Jon was patient throughout. Though it looked almost hopeless in this crazy SF market, he stuck with me and made me feel as though I were his only and most important client. In fact, I can't ever remember him even taking another call when I was with him for an appointment. Don't let his easygoing demeanor and constant smile fool you; Jon is every bit as hardworking and aggressive for his clients as someone who acts like a jerk. read more

I had a great experience working with Jon to purchase a Condo in south beach. Jon had a no pressure consultative approach. There were a few times when I asked to see a place on very short notice and he was always available to be there and show it to me. Once our offer was accepted, Jon took care of everything behind the scenes and made sure the deal got done quickly. Jon is extremely knowledgeable about the San Francisco real estate market, and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to purchase a house or condo in San Francisco. read more

My fiance and I are first time home buyers, so to say Jon was patient with us is an extreme under statement! He followed up weekly without pressuring us, even if sometimes we were losing hope in finding the perfect house for us. He is extremely knowledgeable of San Francisco's market, and would be able to make educated guesses on what he thought a listing would go for and get very close. We looked from April until June when we finally found our house. We were very comfortable with Jon and always trusted his judgement. THANK YOU Jon for helping us find our home!! read more

I moved quite a bit on the job and had the opportunity to work with a number of real estate agents so I can compare. I recently purchased a unit with Jon's help and found him to be the best by far! He is knowledgeable, professional, eager to help and has a great disposition. He listens to needs and concerns, points out the pro's and con's and does not push for a decision. Great Agent. Jon is an incredibly honest, ethical and trustworthy agent. He's also very knowledgeable about the market and how real estate works in general. Throughout this process, we've learned so much from him - not just about the market but everything including the purchasing, potential applicable taxes we should be aware of, escrow and closing process, pros/cons between single family homes vs condos, and the list goes on and on. Every single time we've had a question, he's come back to us with a thoughtful detailed answer instead of a quick response - you can tell he truly cares about his clients and he loves what he does. He's been available to us anytime we've needed him without undivided attention and we have not met any other agent like him. His extreme patience with us has been appreciated throughout this process and we can't thank him enough. He made sure that we felt comfortable throughout this long journey (2 years of looking before we met him!) and we finally got a place we love thanks to him. Not once did he pressure us in putting an offer in, it was very important to him that we felt comfortable and confident before moving to next steps - he gave his two cents when needed but never overstepped. He's a true professional and at the end, we feel like we made a great friend. Thanks for everything, Jon, you are an awesome real estate agent but more importantly, a genuinely wonderful person. read more

I knew that Jon would be my realtor the day I met him. He showed me a studio in Cow Hollow and was extremely honest about the pros and cons of buying a studio, buying in the neighborhood, and buying in SF. He did not push me to make a sale. Instead, he took me around to countless apartments and answered every question I had thoughtfully and with ease - and I had a LOT of questions. He was 100% available for calls, texts, emails (again, very honest about all apts I sent him) in-person meetings, and was endlessly patient with this first time home buyer. Jon became a friend through this process - he's a wonderful person in general and I would turn to him in a heartbeat if I want to buy or sell again. read more

We were introduced to Jon when we decided to put down our first offer on a condo. Jon was friendly and informative from Day 1. His attentiveness and patience never made us feel like we were rushed. We've heard horror stories of buying a house in San Francisco, but we're so thankful our experience was so wonderful, thanks to Jon! As first-time home buyers, we were unfamiliar with the process and Jon took time to make sure we felt informed and guided through the entire experience. He patiently answered all of our questions and always told us what to anticipate next. He was available at all hours to answer any questions we had. His communications were helpful as there were many moving pieces. Overall, we were impressed at how seamless and effortless this whole process was. read more

I highly recommend Jon Iddings of King Realty Group if you are considering buying or selling property in San Francisco or surrounding areas. Jon is very responsive, clearly knows the market, communicates a clear strategy from the beginning, and somehow always found time for me, even on short notice. I had worked closely with Jon for 2 years prior to my decision to sell. He kept me in the know regarding sales trends, advised me on my remodel, and discussed the pros and cons of selling in today's market. And he did all this for me without any pressure. When it finally became time to sell, the decision was easy. Jon helped me with staging and preparation, and was hands on every step of the process. He used an aggressive yet savvy approach to sell my condo, which sold for a price that had my friends doing a double take. Jon played it like a chess game, always anticipating every move before it happened. For example, when it became clear that an accepted offer was going to blow up, Jon locked in a solid back up offer in advance so we were able to step seamlessly into a great offer that did close. Working with Jon also gives you full access to the owner and principal broker of King Realty Group, Lance King, who came to my unit several times to give his input on construction, marketing, and staging. Having full access to a team of professionals who get things done was very reassuring in a volatile market. read more

Jon was invaluable from start to finish. He truly went the extra mile in all facets of the buying process. He was responsive and acted fast in a market in which your agent needs to be completely reliable. We had been looking for awhile, but when we found a property we loved, he got us in to see the property quickly, produced and evaluated comps to the property, and went over all variables for us to come up with a price that made sense. Jon knew presentation matters as well as price. He educated us thru the disclosure process to make sure we totally understood the property. Jon communicated with the listing agent, helped package our offer and present us as the perfect buyers. He was all in during the escrow process, keeping everyone on board, on track and going smoothly. Finally, on the day before close, he discovered previously undisclosed broken window frames which he then negotiated to have the seller fix. We knew Jon was good when we chose him as our agent, but he really went the extra mile and proved knowledgeable and added value throughout. We are so happy with our condo, and so happy we had Jon as our agent. I would highly recommend Jon Iddings as your real estate agent. read more
