First, it's JBJ who I who I discovered on American Bandstand when I was 12 so I will always be a fan!
We were walking around downtown Nashville, trying to decide where to grab a bite and a drink and happen to walk up on Jon Bon Jovi's spot! We looked at the menu on the board outside and as we were looking at it, the guy who was responsible for running the door, made a comment to us about how even though he's an employee there he really loves all the food I started up a conversation with him, and as we were talking, a girl walked out and he said ma'am, you can't leave with that drink, and she turned around and gesture to him and kept going, but then they both started laughing. He explained that she was actually an employee there and he was giving her a hard time. I thought it was hilarious and got a good laugh out of it. He was such a great source of information about the restaurant and definitely encourage us to come inside and try it out. I love it when something starts out with some joy and laughter.
We went inside and glanced at the merch on the way in. We decided to go to the second level where the band was playing and wound up sitting at a table up there and ordering I got a glass of wine and the Wagyu sliders they came with fries we decided to share them.
Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The whole entire time we were there and the band was pretty good. They were playing some great 80s and 90s rock music. We had a good time singing along my friend who is with me is a drummer and played in a band. I used to sing lead and back up in a band so we felt very in our element.
The sliders were really good! The fries were the extra crispy kind which aren't my favorite but I have to say even though these aren't my favorite kind of fries they were cooked really well and tasted good. I would definitely get them again, but I'd also like to try a couple of other things I saw on the menu if I were looking for a bigger meal.
On the way out, I talked to the same guy at the door. I'm really sorry I did not get his name so I could give him a shout out in this review, but I asked him if Jon Bon Jovi still had his kitchen where he serves meals to anyone, regardless of whether they can pay. He told me that he did and it's in New Jersey. We both talked about how we thought. Mr. Bon Jovi did some important things outside of his music career.
If I'm in Nashville again anytime soon, I will definitely head back over to Jon Bon Jovi's place. It was a lot of fun, especially watching some of the people who were obviously probably intoxicated attempt to ride the mechanical bull, which is located on a different floor from the live band! read more
