Route 66 Raceway - the good and the bad. One man's perspective. First time here and I had high…read morehopes. First, it's a nice track. Plenty of seating, although for some reason many sections were empty/closed off to fans. Lots of food and beverage here, but my gripes are no cash, only cards. Not a fan. As for beer choices, it's all light beer. Mass produced Bud products, which I would rather drink tepid pond water. Parking - unless you arrive very early on a Nationals weekend, you'll be parking far away and walking a long distance. Even handicapped. No shuttles to be found anywhere. Food prices are a little high for burgers, sausages, etc. but what isn't nowadays. (Example $12 for a footlong corn dog. $15 for a ten inch Italian sausage. $8 for beers) As I said earlier, lots of walking. We parked on one side of the track and our seats were on the other side; meaning a long walk all the way around the track. One nice thing is you can walk all thru the pits and meet drivers and crew. Take pictures, etc. Oh, one more gripe was I could not reach anyone at the track via phone or email to ask questions. An 800 number directed me e to be a NASCAR ticket service. They gave me another 800 number which referred me back to the other number. My email I sent was never answered. All in all, not a completely bad experience, but it could be much better. Bring hats and sunscreen! You can park and tailgate if you wish.

Midwest Field Solutions should be considered and used for any qualifying contracts. MFS completed a…read morerenovation project on three baseball/softball fields in Lake County, IL, and they are stunning, also now the best fields in the township. MFS works efficiently, completing the massive renovation project within days of starting. They went above and beyond what the project outlines to ensure quality and satisfaction. The fields they renovated had not been used in nearly a decade, required extensive work, and had become overgrown and part of the neighboring grass fields. Further, to accommodate the necessary base distances, the infield had to be expanded. MFS worked with our budget to provide the best outcome possible, and then some. They installed anchors at all distances (regardless of how taxing the process was) to be accommodating to all levels of athletics we may have and to set us up for a successful future. Compared to our other quotes and companies we contacted, it was a "no-brainer" to use Midwest Field Solutions. They work professionally, pristinely, and go above and beyond. We will use MFS for all of our future projects and would only recommend them as the premier provider across the Midwest. MFS takes pride in the work they do, the communities they serve, and the impact their work will have.

Gave Club 66 2 stars because of the great view, AC and fridge full of unlimited sodas and water. We…read morehad a party of 6 at $221 each, total $1326. The food was horrible! Cold coffee or no coffee and a plastic grocery store platter of dry muffins was the morning snack. Lunch was hot dogs, potato salad and chips, which ran out. No toppings but mustard and ketchup. Dinner was hamburgers or pulled pork, lettuce and tomatoes, more potato salad and chips. Ran out again. People were complaining about the quality and amount of food. Some people bought stadium food and brought it to the skybox. The hostess announced that the guacamole and chips had finally arrived. People went up to the buffet to find a tiny little bowl of guac for about 50 people, it was comical but some people were really angry. The hostess bartender was a airhead and had a bad attitude. When the only beer drinking member of our party went to the bar for his third drink, she asked if he really needed one and did he have a DD. He said he had 5, she rolled her eyes and gave him a beer. We were there from 8am til 9pm and our friend was 50 years old. This same hostess, when the food ran out, told me she was going to put more chips out because that is the cheap stuff. Haha!!! The other hostess acted like this experience was not typical but it was obvious that it was. I've been to many skyboxes and this one was so ghetto it was amusing. This was the first time we didn't tip a skybox hostess. For our party, the AC and the view was worth the price but obviously others were upset. Ignore the description and the photo on the website!!!

A true new age Woodstock of our time. You meet so many people from all over the country & overseas…read moreto come to celebrate EDC.We were the FIRST EDC CHICAGO group to camp here. The camping experience was awesome. *The mobile showers * Garnier Fructis station ( hair done, free by professional stylist ) * Food Truck (tacos & burgers) * Shuttle bus that ran to walmart 3xs a day) * Fireworks every night @ 10pm * amusement park rides * Craft tent ( made a rave stick & flower head band) * charge tent ( keep cell phones & laptops charged) * water stations to refill bottles and packs & Best of all, there was a warm tent that stayed open 24hrs a day. When the weather got a bit chilly, I ran for shelter to the warm tent. A community grill was on deck & every morning we could cook scrambled eggs, fry sausage & make tea & in the afternoons we would grill burgers & host a bbq before heading to the concert grounds. If someone was too intoxicated to walk back to their tent , EDC volunteers would happily escort us back to our tent via golf cart. There were various music stages to see our favorite EDM artists. The music was epic and I remember being told by a Joilet Police Officer that there were 9,000 911 calls from the Joilet residents from Thursday night to Monday morning of the event. The residents could hear the music from a 20 mile distance & thought that was some type of bombing occurring at the camp site! The scenery was full of fun & laughter. I remember seeing some tent neighbors bring a life size "Connect Four" game to the site. The tent lanes/rows had creative street names such as "Creativity Lane" or FoFo St". I made so many friends here and will be back to EDC Chicago in the years to come!

No traffic in and not much on the way out. Security check points (3): not as tough as I told it would be. One time the security girl asked if I had anything in my pockets I said no and she just let me walk by.... I also had on rugged boots that could of a fit a million things in them and nobody checked. Oh and I also had opened chapstick and their website clearly states NO open chapsticks, but I was a bad ass and got it in, haha. I've never been to the Speedway before so I was in for a surprise. As soon as we entered the pit was filled with laser shows (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/electric-daisy-carnival-chicago-joliet?select=CwZSgSBMXVnpjwcyKmxmlw#t4DFOnHGs2X4w0FS0mnxSA), carnival rides, and pretty daisy. We can't control the weather and it was less than ideal esp. Friday night where temps drop to low 40s, but the DJs rocked EDC Chicago! I danced all night, every night, for three nights straight! It's a pretty close call for which night was my favorite: Saturday or Sunday. Saturday night Armin was amazinggggggggggg! His set is so good that I listen to it while working out! As for Sunday it might of been muddy and rainy, but the rain brings all the crazies out! Definitely a memorable one! Plenty of port-o-potties and food stations, also if it was raining you can buy a poncho at the general store and they opened up the garages. Endless supply of free water at the water stations and plenty of beer sellers. Definitely a fun experience and from experienced EDC Las Vegas peeps EDC Chicago is a big tease and I'm quite alright with that because it is the "road to Vegas" and it's definitely building my anticipation! See you in a few weeks EDC Vegas!
