This place USED to be a great time... every year it gets worse and worse... owner is more than happy to take (and refuse to refund) your money for shows she knows will not deliver what she's promised... runs out of water on hot days... starts hours past listed time without communication to the crowd... will make you sit for hours in cold rain (after you pay for non refundable parking, food, and booze) then ultimately cancel... team demo has dwindled down to 4 teams instead of the advertised 8... it's a shame what she's turned this place into... it really used to be a highlight of the summer.. read more

This place took our money for tickets then canceled the event and there was NO WAY to get our money back. Scummy.

My kids love race cars and monster trucks and whatnot, so we came for a demolition derby night. Some highlights: *it took an hour to get through the line of cars and into the parking lot *it took over 45 minutes to stand in line for bottled water, which they ultimately sold out of *no problem, because it was after 9pm before any cars started doing anything on the track (advertised start time was 7pm) *we left after the drivers got out of their cars and brawled. The crowd (think shirtless dudes with literal nazi tattoos) loved it. Just f.ing yikes. read more

Dirt Oval Route 66 - Race Tracks Near Me - Elwood, Illinois

Worst promoted race ever!!! This race was All Stars sprints plus Midget racing over the NASCAR wknd. Advertized a 7:30pm start time. NOTHING got started before 9 pm. No hot laps qualifying-nothing. Races not over until 1:30Am!!!. Only two classes running. Promoters were the worst we've seen in 40 plus yrs attending races in many different states.This is NO criticism of the All Stars series-only criticism of the way this track runs their program. Just be aware that start time means nothing and be ready to stay well after midnight. What even makes it a shame is the facility here is very nice and track a great size and prepared well. They just don't know how to run the race efficiently. read more

Horrible experience! Race delayed over 3 hours and no one told crowd! Poorly run and food areas don't have enough workers. Long lines and ran out of water on hottest day too! Don't bother going. Save your money! Storms and lightening all around but place did not close either read more

Demos at the Dirt Oval are the best! All of their events are fun and worth attending.

Normal have a bunch of fun. It's became a joke when they state there will be 8 teams and one team only had two cars ( green team ) then second race only had 3 against 4. Won't attend again sorry to say. read more
