Alfredo and his guys were friendly, prompt and professional. They even worked with me to do a portion of the drywalling the next day so that I could get the plumber to install the water heater before coming back to do the rest. They later came back as promised and finished the drywall and texturing. Everything looks great and they left the house clean. I highly recommend them for skilled work and fair pricing.

They gutted our building, hung new drywall and retextured it all with a newer, modern looking texture called cats paw. They did a great job protecting all the floors and sanding with Hepa vacuum sanders to prevent any excessive dust throughout the building during the sanding process. The whole job took about 2 weeks, the team communicated with us well throughout the process, and their rates were very reasonable for the area.

The third and largest was to smooth finish a ceiling with an 80s style textured ceiling. This was a very large area. I included pictures but the pictures don't do justice to how the ceiling looks. We are so happy. It's like a new house. The team did a great job covering everything so nothing got stained and to minimize the dust. All but one day they showed up on time. Each of the two smaller repairs took about half a day. The large ceiling smoothing took 5 days. The owner was responsive to all my emails. Only down was in comms initially. I was told that I didn't have to remove the cabinet in the laundry to repair the ceiling and was never told we had to remove all our family room furniture. We basically lost a day when the team showed up and had to leave the first day. Also it would be nice if the business could provide some basic additional services like carpentry related to repairs or painting.

They offered a flat rate for the drywall which I consider more than fair, as I live in an older house that has extra thick drywall to where you would have to shim it or double layer it for it to match the rest of the drywall so I knew no matter what it would be more expensive to fix than a standard thickness drywall. He did a fantastic job flowing the spackle/mud on the patch to where I would not have to sand it at all, which I was so happy with! We interviewed and received proposals from at least 4 different, highly rated, painting contractors in the Santa Barbara area before deciding to go with Fresh Coat. Their attention to detail - beginning with the proposal itself - was impressive. Since our old wood-sided 2-story bungalow style Santa Barbara house (built in 1911) is a secondary rental home and not our primary residence in the Coachella Valley, we were doing much of the planning of the 4-color scheme and communication long distance, making it more challenging. Justin answered all our many questions and provided helpful information and suggestions throughout the process and could not have been more accommodating. Both Justin and Martin (the co-owners of Fresh Coat) and their crew could not have been more professional and thorough. They were excellent communicators and answered all of our questions. They also brought up areas of concern with the old house and reassured us that the final result would be satisfactory. Since we were making a major color scheme change, we were anxious about how the final result would be. Not only were we happy to see the finished product, we even got positive reviews from the neighbors about the new look and the courtesy and professionalism of the crew. We had other proposals from well-reviewed contractors but felt that Fresh Coat's proposal was the most thorough and detailed and competitively priced. We were very pleased that not only did the job turn out beautifully, but that it was finished on the exact date Justin had estimated for the completion date. The workers arrived promptly on each day and were conscientious of their work and cleanup each day; and they were extremely polite and respectful of our tenants and nearby neighbors. Indeed, one of our neighbors overheard one of the workers stating to the other worker that it was important to keep their voices low so as not to disturb nearby neighbors. At Jason's suggestion, the trim is a blue-green I liked, called "Santa Barbara blue." The painters were hard-working, dedicated and careful, even while reaching an impossible, dizzying corner high on the upper story. I could not recommend any company more highly. We recently bought a home in the San Vicente Mobile Home Park. Alas, the home was in a great…read morelocation but in what turned out to be terrible shape. It required extensive renovations. One of them was the godawful faux wood paneling from the 1970s. It was all over the home with the exception of the bathrooms and kitchen, which had equally horrendous flowered wallpaper. Dina and Christina came highly recommended so we brought them out for a look and an estimate. Dina carefully walked around while I described what I wanted done. I mentioned that I had been doing research on colors and wanted a neutral white, preferably neither warm nor cool (and not hospital white) because we have windows on all sides of the home and it would get light at various times of the day and at various angles. I wondered what she thought of Benjamin Moore's Chantilly Lace. She said BM was a great paint, and she loved that color, that she had just finished a home done in that color. She also said it would work well here, providing the neutral and definite white I wanted. She and her partner plus their employee came out every day and because we hadn't moved in (and the carpeting had been taken up to prepare for the wood flooring) were able to easily remove the kitchen cabinets and work with them. All their tasks were neatly handled, things carefully placed and the workplace cleaned up each night. There was never a sense of chaos or of a mess. (All renovation work should look this good while in progress. Still, I am glad I wasn't living there.) The first step was to have all the walls skim coated to remove the lines that simply painting over the paneling would show. They recommended someone they had worked with before and he did a fabulous job, skim coating the walls twice. Then they primed it and painted it. If you didn't know it, you would never be able to tell that there was paneling under the walls. They used matte, semi-gloss and gloss in the appropriate places. They were fast; within two weeks they were done. I am beyond happy as their price was very reasonable, they were always willing to answer questions, they wanted us to be happy with it, and they were neat, clean, never noisy, and showed up on time every single day. We are hiring them again to paint the exterior within a few months (and as soon as money allows). In the meantime, they also painted a reproduction piece of furniture I had that had been kind of gold and yellow, and it is now a glossy white that looks absolutely gorgeous in the living room.
