Wonderful experience. With a very sick husband and a washing machine that quit, I was able to have a Saturday delivery and set up. A big thank you to Brittany who was so kind and to John who delivered and hooked up the machine. Another thank you to Courtney who helped me yesterday when I decided to purchase the dryer also. I have purchased many appliances from Johnston's Home Center and they have always been so helpful and very careful when setting up the new and removing the old. I hope I never need to use Johnston's again, and I hope you don't need them either. I had a warranty to replace my washing machine and was told which machine I could get, but I would have to buy another extended warranty. I didn't have the cash, they have a program, and a couple of months I'd have it paid. OK. I applied for the program a day or so later, the washing machine was delivered, no paperwork. Long story short, according to SNAP Finance, the Extended Warranty can not be paid for in payments. Johnstons says I had a balance on the washing machine, delivery charge, and tax for $290.?? Not the $149. And I paid over $700 to pay SNAP off. If I can keep from it I will never use Johnstons or SNAP Finance again. Bought a new mattress a month ago and it is broke down to the point my 130 pound wife's side look like it is 3 inches lower than the mountain in the middle, I went to Johnston's and was told to call the manufacturer. I didn't buy the mattress from the manufacturer I bought it from Johnston's 30 days ago. I wish I had known the refund policy, I wanted to support local business but should have bought from Amazon or Sam's just for the return policies. I have a business and there is no way i could stay in business if I made my customers do their own warranty returns. Of course the manufacturer makes it so hard to make a claim I will probably give up. Should have read some of these dissatisfied customer reviews. Don't buy mattresses here please. I go to Johnstons Home Center to buy fabric and sewing notions. They have the best prices and the best choices in Arkansas. The people are friendly and helpful. The fabric selection is fabulous! I always learn something when I go there. They also have classes on the sewing machines that they sell as well as other classes. read more

I have had nothing but great sales and service from Johnston's. They are very busy so yes, sometimes you might have to wait a few minutes but they are helping other customers. Their appliances are awesome and if I do ever need service, they are serviced quickly and efficiently. Their prices are the best in the metro area. The sewing center is amazing - you can find everything you need for sewing, embroidery, and quilting. Education classes are free with machine purchases and they have numerous classes each month for all types of work. The ladies in the sewing area are very knowledgeable and helpful. I can not say enough about Johnston's service center on Babylock sewing machines. My Destiny was 6 years old. Has NEVER sewn well. I had it to several shops. Spent a lot of money. It still didn't sew. I took it to Johnston's Home Center and it sews like a DREAM. I love doing embroidery on it now. I could have saved myself a lot of traveling ,money, and headaches, If I had only gone there first. They are very nice and professional also. Lots of fabric and notions and great ideas in the store. Have bought multiple products from Johnston's in the last 4 years I have never had a problem with service from either department.. I go there regularly for sewing classes and have watched them handle rude customers on several occasions. I have never seen or heard them be rude to anyone. Everyone is treated with kindness and respect. I love this store and this family they are some of the nicest people you will ever encounter. They sell quality products. Johnston's has the highest quality sewing and embroidery machines, as well as the best selection of notions and fabric in this part of the state. I highly recommend them. read more

Have bought appliances from Johnston's for many years. The thing that I like is that they service what they sell. They also maintain sales records so when you have to have factory service they can provide copy of original sales receipt. While there are times that in store sale person is not following you around " pestering you" all you have to do is find someone and they will get you the answers that you need. Have taken a vacuum there at 2 different times for repair. Took a really long time and seemed kinda pricey. They also were not good about communicating what was going on, how long I should expect to wait, etc. I always have to call them and say "Hey, it's been 2 weeks what's going on" at which point they normally say they haven't even started it yet. Last time, after weeks of waiting, I pick it up and it is still broken! They thought it was not broken because they confused it with another persons vacuum that was working. Good luck getting someone to wait on you, much less acknowledge you. I walked around for a good 10 minutes and the staff avoided eye contact and kept chatting amongst themselves. Every time I've been in it's the same story. I always try to patronize locally owned businesses but I'm giving up on this place. I honestly don't know how they stay in business with that kind of (lack of) customer service. Do yourself a favor and avoid Johnston's bc they don't care about earning your business. read more

I WILL NEVER CALL JOHNSTON's AGAIN! I was attempting to surprise my ex-husband and get his broken dryer fixed. I spoke with Stan in the service/repairs area. He was incredibly rude. I did not know the model number of my ex- husband's dryer off the top of my head. Apparently, I should have. He then interrupted me and demanded to know "who is gonna pay for this." That was enough for me. I excused myself from Stan and hung up. Within 10 minutes I had an appointment scheduled with a different business with the same "information" I had for Stan. Clearly, Johnston's and Stan aren't interested in my or my family's business. Good luck. Maybe you will matter to them. read more
