Our daughter's hockey team was hosting a golf outing, and with everything going on between myself and the other volunteers, we completely dropped the ball and forgot to pick up the signs we had ordered. The night before the outing, while at the girls' hockey game, we suddenly realized no one had them. Panic set in. Out of desperation, I sent them a message on Facebook--fully expecting either no reply or, at best, a "sorry, nothing we can do." To my absolute surprise, within 10 minutes they responded. Not only did they reassure me, but they immediately offered solutions. While we were scrambling to see if someone nearby could grab the signs, they asked where we were--and when I told them we were at the game, they went above and beyond. They actually offered to bring the signs to us. After the game, they met me at my house and delivered them personally. I was floored. They easily could have said, "Sorry, we'll see you Monday," and I would have understood. Instead, they went out of their way, on their own time, to make sure our team was taken care of. That kind of service is almost unheard of these days. What they did was not just customer service--it was genuine kindness, and it meant the world to us.
