Mike is great and very easy to work with. He did our signs at Vintage Market in Westland. He was able to customize it to my exact vision.

NorthWest Construction - Before and after siding installation in Dearborn

NorthWest Construction

On October 31st, 2012, my husband and I purchased a fixer upper in the Metro-Detroit area. We had…read moreour hands full, but we managed to get half of the house fully completed by 2014. Then, disaster struck... In August 2014, the lower half of our bi-level was flooded with sewage back-up from heavy rains. The rooms that had been fully completed (Family, Kitchen & Dining Rooms) were harmed in the flood and at that point my husband and I decided to take a break from fixing up the house. To get away from it all, we planned to take a trip to relax and clear our heads to prepare for another 2 years of home repair. Right before we had left for our trip our hot water heater exploded and the bathroom upstairs started leaking. Right at this point, we were beyond frustrated and in over our heads... we needed help. After researching and calling multiple contractors and handy-men, we finally came across a company we could trust. Northwest Construction, a family owned business, peaked my interest due to their amazing reviews and their portfolio. Terry - Roofing & Siding, one of the owners, was the first person we had met. He was very professional and took the time to give us details about what needed to be done, and how much it would cost. His team of professionals, including Aaron - Windows, and Ron Bozzi - Bathrooms also came out to the house to talk about options and how I could stay within my budget. It was amazing that I was involved every step of the way. So, it was clear that my whole house needed some tlc, but what needed to be done first was the leaking bathroom, roof and windows. They first came out to remove my leaking chimney and shingle my roof. It only took them a couple of days, and it looks absolutely amazing. They used excellent quality shingles, and installed new vents. Terry's roofing and siding team got the job done and did a wonderful job. Next, they installed Anderson windows for an excellent price. Our old windows emitted heat in the summer and cold during the winter, and it was extremely uncomfortable. It was so bad that we had to put duct tape around the edges and trash bags over the glass. So, when they installed the new ones, I was in heaven. Aaron, the window guru, was very helpful and honest, unlike Wall-Side windows who wanted to charge us an arm and a leg. Last, and this was the BIG project, was the bathroom. I hated this bathroom. It had disgusting pea green tile from the 70s, and leaks from the shower and, eww, the toilet. My husband and I had stripped the whole bathroom including expanding it to make it larger and more comfortable for a family. Ron Bozzi, and his side-kick Chris, came to our rescue and spent time helping us choose the best options for the bathroom while sticking to the budget. We gave Ron no easy task. The bathroom needed updates from its 70s wiring to uneven studs. Ron, however, fixed it all. I love it when a contractor takes the time to fix the problem and not cover it up. There was nothing Ron couldn't handle. In the end, the bathroom looks amazing and I couldn't be happier. Terry and his team made me very happy. I plan on hiring them for more projects in the future. They treat you like family, and respect your needs and wants for your house. I so glad I went with Northwest Construction.

Overall good experience of having my roof replaced and insulation added. The business owner, Terry,…read moretook the time to come out and walk me through the process and the materials they use. My roof looks great now and I have confidence that I will never have to worry about it anymore. If you're in need of a new roof, this is a good place to call.

Royal Oak and Birmingham Awning

Royal Oak and Birmingham Awning

Not sure where to begin, but unfortunately my husband and I purchased a home with an awning that…read morewas made and installed by this debacle of a business. Not onthey have the worst employees and customer service you will ever deal with. Update here...apologies for the length. Over the past months, my husband has been calling and speaking to the company on the phone - eager and anxious for updates and plans as to when they think they'll be in our area for install as things are definitely heating up in Michigan. During his weekly call today, he was told that we were removed from the list due to the fact that I put this review out here. It appears that they had already been in our area since his call last Thursday, but due to a review speaking to how delayed their install has been for us, we received no service at all. It was then suggested that if we take the review down, they would put us back on the list and we'd have the install once they were back in my area (whenever that would be). Rather than either 1) replying to this initial review, or 2) reaching out to me directly to address...they opted to just remove us from the list and then try to barter with my husband to have it removed in exchange for their services. As stated above, clearly some concerns with customer service here. Further, when my husband suggested that we might need to find another service provider if the delays continue, which entails getting an appointment to have a new awning quoted, the question came to him as to whether he contacted RO Awning to have them come out and do a new awning quote (??). He asked "why would I be calling and asking you to come out and give me a quote on a new awning, when I already have a solid awning and i am just waiting so long for your install services? The only reason I need to have a new awning quoted is because other companies won't come out and install the existing awning that i currently have." The response was "You should just go with another company, thanks"....followed by him being hung up on. So in summary, when they do awning repair work (done for us in Spring 2019), it comes out well. When they install the awning (done for us in 2017, 2018 and 2019), it comes out well. However, you have to be willing to put up with some incredible delays and uncertainty on timing, and when you voice an opinion on their services provided you are met with RO Awning's version of extortion (e.g. "pull down your review and we'll install") and an ultimately disappointing outcome. I would not recommend this company to anyone, and feel that this review here is only the first stop on my many efforts to make sure the area (friends, family, acquaintances, strangers) are aware of how they do business.

I asked for the owner to contact me but, they blew me off and never heard from them again, the manager in charge was not very kind she was more on the RUDE side. What a way to kill a business.
