I have been using Gary Lynn Ward for tax prep for the past six or seven years. I also sent a couple…read moreof family members to him and we are all pleased with the courteous service we have received. Some of our tax issues are fairly complex and some of it's pretty routine. Gary handles all of it and explains the issues if we have questions on the details. Gary's office staff is also very congenial and helpful. All appointments, phone calls, emails, etc. have been handled with timely professionalism. No surprises or excuses and I like that. I believe in having various "experts" to address life circumstances whatever they may be. In other words I have a "go to" person for medical, dental, legal, taxes, auto repair, etc. For taxes it's Gary Lynn Ward, CPA - heartily recommended!

This was definitely the WORST TAX EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD and I wish I had not read any of the 4…read more"good" reviews that were posted as they were in no way indicative of my experience! In over 30 years of using tax accountants, I have NEVER had an accountant refuse to sit down and go through my account with me, and I have NEVER been handed my return at pick-up time with absolutely no communication, no explanation, NOTHING! Not one word about the return or how things were handled, just a fat bill and a see ya later. This was so beyond unacceptable!!!!!!! I could have gone to H&RBlock and had way better service, way better communication, and for WAYYYYYY less money. This was just a mind-boggling horrible experience in every way and I would suggest you look ANYWHERE else for any tax help!!!!!!! I would seriously consider that the 4 reviews posted, for a company that has "been in business for decades" ???, may not be legit.

They are so thorough, and detail oriented, and friendly to work with - we simply couldn't be without them now. Prior to using By the Numbers, our business books were pretty messy and even neglected in some areas. It made it difficult for our primary accountant to do her work. But now, after being involved with the great folks at By the Numbers, we are ship-shape and now saving money like we never did before. The savings in taxes and other expenses they have helped us with more than pay for the cost of the service.
