Dr.Hungerford has a gentle manner and he is kind to his patients. He is more knowledgeable then my previous doctors and was able to help me balance my medication so I can manage my health. Listen by the time you need an endocrinologist your body is suffering and your spirit is crushed. There isn't a cure for hypothyroidism but medication and diet can help you. Many people get angry at a permanent auto immune disease and might reflect that anger in their reviews but I have seen what a bad endocrinologist is like and Dr.Hungerford is the best I have ever met. She said that my lower back MRI did not indicate necessity for any surgery. She then sent me to get another MRI for my upper back/neck, and she would let me know the results. A few days after the second MRI, I got a message from her assistant to call for those results. When I called back, I was given the MRI results by a receptionist in medical terms I did not understand and to seek more help from my primary. I was told that no surgery was necessary. That was it. No explanation why I have extreme pain in my spine. I get it, if I don't need surgery, but something is causing my pain. How disappointing to spend over $500 for MRI's and office visits to get results from a receptionist. Now I will have to put our more money to try and find someone who will help me. They don't work on Fridays, and many offices take 1 to 1.5 hours for lunch. When you call within those very limited hours you can often wait on hold for 13 to 27 minutes.
