My GI wanted me to go to LS this time because she felt they are the best in town for imaging. I walked into the lobby and was greeted very warmly and quickly registered on the iPad. The lobby was open and comfortable. Once I went back to imaging I was taken to a waiting/dressing room to begin drinking a solution. The tech brought me pants to change into and offered a warm blanket. Once it was time for my abdominal MRI I was talked through the process and prepped. My IV went smoothly and the tech constantly checked to make sure I was okay. She walked me through every step the entire time. I tend to start to panic in the machine but hearing her voice kept me focused. I felt truly cared for every step of the way.

I was treated like a junkie when talking about medication. I was medicated and diagnosed with adhd in the past but a 40 mg vyvanse prescription scarred me for life as a middle school aged kid. They wanted a drug test. At the time, I had been smoking. I admitted that, and they promptly denied me care because they said I'd sell it in college. I have my diagnosis. I gave yall my diagnosis. Is that not the requirement? I even offered to quit, take a drug test after three weeks, and come back. They denied that too. All because Dr Guevara over there is scared of his license being put in jeaprody. You want your patients to tell you guys the truth, yet when they do, it's thrown back in your face. Even Dr Brockmeyer treated me like a 10 year old child. Absolutely rage inducing. Never ever recommending. My whole family is no longer in his patient base.

The front desk staff was extremely disorganized and neglected their duties, severely impacting my health (again issues with getting meds and reffreals out to me/my pharmacy/other Doctor's offices), but this is far worse. Dr. Jafri is the shadiest and most unprofessional medical provider I've ever met. I dreaded going…read moreto this clinic for all 6 sessions of the ketamine package for pain. I could explain how awful each individual session was, but that would be lengthy, so here's a list of red flags: - New staff every single week. A few of my sessions were canceled or rescheduled because staff walked out and didn't come back. - I get IVs and blood draws regularly, and I've never met anyone who has struggled with my veins. Dr. Jafri has to use a lidocaine shot to numb the area because it takes him 3-5 times to get the IV in. You can still feel it even with the shot. Attached photo of when he stuck me 5 times and it was bruised for weeks. - Refused to give out medical records, which is illegal under HIPAA. I had to ask multiple times, and my primary doctor requested multiple times. He only gave the records from the first session. When I said I need the rest, he got mad and raised his voice with me. Would not print, email, fax, or put them on a flash drive. - Refused to tell me the dosage of each session. If he did tell me, he'd often change his answer the next time I asked. Frequently lied about it. - There's a camera in the room, but they don't watch it. It could take 15 minutes of a machine beeping or something being wrong for them to realize and come in. - In the last session, the IV was bleeding all over my now-ruined hoodie, and I didn't have a way to get staff to come check on it, so I texted my mom and asked her to let them know. He came in furious, demanding I give him my phone. He would've known I was on it if they actually watched the camera. - Said I couldn't have my phone because he was scared I would call 911 or "the FBI"?? I only ever texted my mom when there was something wrong and I couldn't get ahold of staff. He eventually took my phone from my hand and put it on the table where I couldn't reach. - I finally did get medical records because a new staff member gave them to me behind his back. There was incorrect information on every page. Sometimes I'm 19 years old, sometimes 23. My weight was listed as 144lbs one week and 120lbs the next. Said I'm on insulin, which I have never had, and so on. - Scolds staff and an handful of them expressed discomfort to my mom and I when Dr. Jafri left the room. - Didn't like when I asked questions. - Charged more than they originally stated. - Dr. Jafri only did things right when training/in front of someone. "You take vitals before you put the IV in" but he never had before. Acted much different when other people were in the room. - Sanitary issues. Would touch numerous things with bare hands and then inject the syringe. - Obsessed over healed marks from my cat and pulled my sleeve up to check for cuts without consent. Tried to pull a bandaid off to look at the wound. Lots of unprofessional and insensitive comments. The list goes on, but those were the biggest ones. Do not go to this facility.

However, not one of them had much training in knee surgeries! You could certainly tell they didn't know any of the protocols and gave me wrong information about instructions on my surgical knee. They didn't even know anything about my ice machine and how to put it on and how it works! That's the #1 thing recommended by your surgeon for recovery! 2 of the nurses left me on the toilet and I had to get to my bed by myself, when I was told by the other nurse I was NOT to try and walk without help ever! Several nurses had a hard time with getting lab or my IV's without being a pin cushion. I know nurses and hospital staff are overworked and have to manage a lot of patients but some of my complaints are just not acceptable! Overall, I did have attentive nurses and they were friendly enough but I would never have a Total Knee Replacement at Advent in Lenexa unless I knew I'd have a qualified trained staff for this very complicated surgery! I drove my friends' husband to the ER to meet her there. The moment we walked in the door, we were greeted by two people asking if we needed assistance. We explained that the wife was coming by ambulance. We beat the ambulance to the hospital, so we had to wait. The gal behind the desk was awesome!!! The quality of her service and care for our worry was superb. She directed us to get comfortable, told us where the restrooms and vending machines were. The waiting rooms had TV's and comfortable seats. Every end table had an outlet and charging stations. The receptionist kept us informed every step of the way, and took her husband to see his wife ASAP. The care was evidently wonderful (I wasn't the one sick so I can't speak to that.) As a guest, rather than a patient, I have to say I was more than impressed.
