Tom came out to talk water and boy, does Tom know water! As we started to talk about the house, where our water comes from and what we were primarily interested in Tom was doing tests of our water. He was very efficient in the testing and explaining the results. Our new home in Castle Pines was built with an instant hot water unit, which was all new for us. And from some other companies we talked to at the garden and home show told us that you definitely need to put a soft water unit in for the tankless (primarily for the warranty). As it turns out, Tom gave us a measurement of 3 for hardness which is very good and he told us we do NOT need to install a soft water unit. BONUS! We also talked about other minerals and pH in our water. And it was nice to hear we have really good water here. He did leave a flyer and a quote for a RO (reverse osmosis) drinking water system if we ever decide we would like to go that route other than just getting drinking water from the refrigerator. I would highly recommend anyone who is curious about their water quality to contact them and talk through what you might need or what you want.

We discussed our needs and family size, and it was refreshing when he recommended the lower cost solution for us instead of trying to upsell us something we didn't need. He'll be very honest about what will make you the happiest with your water. The system works great and made a noticeable difference with the hardness of our water. Then I received a call from Neil stating that prior to the appointment we needed to clear the trees at least 20 feet above the well and the width of the well and also remove the well house cover to provide access. We jumped through hoops to accomplish all they asked us to do and then they didn't call or show up. We even provided them pictures of the preparation we had made. We called our tree service on Wed and they were able to come out the next morning and our son recruited six of his friends to help lift the well house cover off. When researching this company, it is clear that the gift card is never manifested and this is just a trick to give them your phone number so they can schedule a water test in your home and sell you water products. It says directly on the postcard that you are asking to be contacted by phone for a water test. This is a very sneaky, spammy tactic and I would not trust any service or product that this company offers based on this sleazy and disingenuous spam mail technique. They don't even talk about their products or services anywhere on the postcard -- it's entirely designed to just look like free Amazon money for dropping something in the mail. A lot of companies do offer incentives by mail but they usual come in much more genuine and honest formats, like a coupon for first time customers or describing why their services and products are the best. I would encourage Home Water Solutions to do the same.
