The Pepper steak at Euphemia Hayes in Longboat Key, Florida still is number one by far - but I must say - I finally found a great steak house in Gothenburg! I cannot believe I never knew about them 'til recently!! Sinclair's is located on a off street, you don't walk here on your usual route. But you just got lucky to find my review! It is not often I have a hard time choosing from the menu - but at Sinclair's I could hardly decide. I know for sure when I put my teeth in the dish I ordered that I just HAVE TO return for next dish! I had kangaroo and my company had the ribs - but were delicious! Delicious! The kangaroo was medium-rare and grilled to perfection on open fire. I was afraid it would be dry without any sauce but the garlic butter and juice corn was enough. The ribs in barbecue glaze were so tender they just fell off. I can't decide on wether I think the staff was inattentive or just cool and giving the guests space. But I always appreciate staff that knows when you want refill. These didn't - we had to ask. I cannot wait to go back! If you want meat, I definitely recommend this place! Most 200 grams meat was SEK220. They do not accept AMEX - but I found it funny staff didn't know beforehand.

When I arrived at around 7 pm on Thursday, I pretty much got lucky scoring the last table left without the reservation. Decided to go with a fixed dinner menu, containing appetizer, entree, and dessert. There was also recommended wine selection, so I discussed it with the server, and he suggested that if I don't want to drink dessert wine, I would be better off just getting wine pairing for the first two dishes. Perfect. The first wine was Pinot Noir from New Zealand, and the first dish was deer Carpaccio. Both were excellent in its own right - good wine, tasty dish, the pairing worked together. Second wine poured was California Ghost Pines Chardonnay, which by the glass costs there as a whole bottle back in the USA. Okay, but then this is a mediocre wine, and while the cod was made very well, the pairing really didn't work. The dessert was advertised as chocolate ganache or so, but the actual dish had a large serving of the gelato in a middle, with tiny mounds of chocolate around. The most captive part of the dish was some chewy candy bits on top of the ice cream, in appearance resembling the salmon caviar, but an overall combination with gelato was excellent. Each chocolate mound had a piece of caramel inserted into it, which was really annoying as it was getting stuck to the teeth. So far the food was good, the wines were okay and not, but the worst part was service. Got half a glass of water poured, no pitcher left as on all other tables had to flag someone down to get more water despite sitting across from the bar where someone was constantly at. Nobody really cared if/how I liked the food etc., which, considering the food prices in Sweden was rather annoying. So we have food at 4.5, wines at 3 and service at 3. All in all, you decide if you want to eat there or not.

She took forever to get our order and once she did, she ended up messing it up. My friend ordered a steak with mash and sauce and ended up only getting the steak first followed by the mash and sauce five minutes later which made no sense. I ended up getting my food when he was half done with his and it was overly salty to the point where I couldn't taste anything else but salt. I had to ask for ketchup three times before I got it once I was finished with my food. Overall, the price you're paying is not worth it whatsoever, specially with the high quality restaurants you have within walking distance from this one who give you way better service and quality.

You sit down and basically just got get your food from a smorgasbord next to your tables. The food varies from charcuterie to avocado toast to steak to super delicious little breads. I think your meal also comes with orange juice, champagne and maybe coffee. But the set price is 275 per person. You have two hours to go back and get your foods, including the dessert buffet which was very good and included things like lemon meringue.
