Today we had our second visit from Dan and his crew and like the last time he did not disappoint…read moreus! Last time they were here they installed 13 recessed lights along with the appropriate wall switches and three ceiling fans 2 with wall controls as well as remote controls. On that first visit they were in just about every room in our house drilling holes in the ceiling and walls and not only did they do a great job but when they were done they even took the dust with them! So when it came time to remodel our kitchen we didn't think twice about calling Dan again and even though we gave him a tight time frame on short notice he was able to work with us and get the job done in a time frame that worked for us which was impressive in this time of COVID, and on that subject Dan and all of his guys arrived fully masked which we appreciated but we weren't surprised, so they arrived on time evaluated our space recommend 5 lights in the ceiling and three over the kitchen he was also installing a new outlet under the sink for future use. We completely agreed with Dan's recommendations and away they went and in record time the job was done! One of the things that impressed me the first time Dan did work for us was their attention to detail they sweat the small stuff in addition to a through clean up when they are done, let's face it cutting into drywall is a very messy job, they leave nothing behind no fingerprints, footprints and the icing on the cake they line up all the screw heads on the switch plates and outlet covers very professional! On top of the jobs we asked Dan to do he upgraded our switches in the kitchen to be the nice modern paddle style switch as well as replacing two outlets that needed to be swapped out saved me from having to do it myself! And to top it off he upgraded the standard switch for the kitchen to a dimmer, he must have read our minds on that one, while it was something we we're definitely planning to do we never discussed it with Dan he just anticipated our needs and went ahead and did the job we would have ended up calling him back to do in the future! The pictures don't really do Dan's work justice as we still have paint to do on top of the new cabinets etc but you get the idea. Not only is Dan and his crews work top notch but the price is beyond fair and reasonable we couldn't be any happier and would never consider hiring any other electrician Dan is a true craftsmen that's passionate about what he does and dots every I and crosses every T and the same goes for his team it's a pleasure to have a contractor that isn't out to get whatever he can get out of every job and I can say with complete confidence Dan would not recommend doing work just for the sake of running up the bill in fact on this job he even charged us less than the initial quoted price and the first time he was at our house he installed two light fixtures we had purchased after he had spent the better part of the day at our house and he didn't even charge us to do it those are the kind of things that gets repeat business and Dan will continue to get our business and I would recommend his services to anyone that's needs an electrician without reservation!

Electrical Contractor, over $10K…read more I usually don't write reviews. I've only written two in the past 15 years. I've only written reviews if a contractor or vendor service was so poor, or their ethics so horrible they deserve a horrendous write up. This time - a first - I'm writing about the other side: a contractor whose services were great: Brad Brown and his team - the electrical contractor we used for our major kitchen renovation. I had used Brad for a few small jobs around my house and he did fine: good work, prompt service and fair prices. I called Brad and he quoted a range of costs depending on what was uncovered as the work progressed. He started the day after I approved the quote. The fast service was appreciated - and sorely needed as our first electrician pulled out suddenly and everything in our renovation had ground to a halt. It was smart of Brad to recommend he first install a separate sub-panel in the basement just to serve the kitchen electrics. In hindsight it turned out to be a brilliant idea as all the wire runs from the new panel were shorter, and now the electric panel was clean, easily accessible, easy to visualize and a pleasure to work with at any future date. Smart. All the circuitry was now very clean. Wires were run straight and parallel to the joists - something no other electrician (or plumber) ever did. Wires were intelligently ordered and clearly marked. All lighting, outlets and specialty wiring holes were cut with precision - you know, measure twice and cut once. One electrician cut the hole and a helper held a vacuum under the cut to contain the dust and debris. Never saw anyone else do that - and it was certainly appreciated. All work was neat. A thorough clean up of the premises was conducted at the end of each day. Brad and his A-Team showed up early, took a brief lunch if at all, and left late - to knock the job out in the fastest possible time. It was amazing. The nature of electrical work when interfacing with a General Contractor is to work around the GC's team in the order that the job calls for. While it must be a juggling nightmare for electricians to schedule this, it didn't seem to be a problem: as the contractor scheduled him in Brad came himself or sent his team. His staff was always polite, helpful, and positive. I don't need a lot of hand holding, but hearing "we can do this no problem" facing some of the more difficult runs was reassuring. Now that the job is over I've had a chance to examine the work, Brad Brown's Team remains amazing. The sub-panel is sharp and precise. Wires are run in a logical order. Labels that make sense - and I can read, understand and know where they go. The circuitry layout is great, clearly marked and all the wiring lines have been laid out in straight runs. Future work will be easy. My house is over 125 years old and I've had a lot of work performed over time. So I've dealt with a lot of contractors. This has been a particularly good experience. A welcome, recommended vendor. Jeffrey Dobkin
