Additionally, they charge extra for refraction that is a service provided by my insurance. Then, when questioned, they are not knowledgeable about insurance & deceptively told me I was charged this and paid last year. They absolutely have no idea how to bill insurance & are making revenue on services that are covered by insurance at the expense of the patient. It is sad that this practice is associated with Green Eye Clinic which was a reputable, well respected clinic in Hattiesburg.

I asked them twice if they could please check their records again to see if the bill had gotten misplaced or if someone had forgotten to process my payment. Both requests went completely ignored. Instead, they just sent me the bill again, this time with a statement saying my account "may be referred to an outside collection agency." I don't understand why my request was never even acknowledged. I feel completely ignored. If it turned out my bill was lost in the mail -- no problem, I would have sent another payment! But now I don't know if it's just lost in their office, and if someone could find it months from now and charge me again, not realizing it was already paid. (I did end up sending another payment later.) I wish their office could have at least reached out to me instead of just ignoring me. That seems like the bare minimum of customer service. So if you have a problem here, don't expect any of the administration/staff to as much as address it. You're on your own.
