I got a crack in my windshield from a rock hitting it. I called my insurance agent, and they put in…read morea claim. I went to Butler Auto Glass(Adkins auto glass). I took it to them and I was happy with the installation. My new windshield cracked 3 weeks after it was installed. I was told it was either a stress fracture or an impact. When I went back for them to check, they insisted it was an impact. They said it was from the windshield wiper, but it wasn't near the metal part. They claimed that the spot was the impact, but it was on the inside! My insurance had paid for it, so I contacted my agent again. They put in a second claim. We decided to go with Safelite for the new one. When I got to Safelite, I asked the guy to check out the windshield. He looked at it and immediately said it was a stress fracture. There wasn't an impact. And the glass was uneven. He also confirmed that the chip that was seen WAS on the inside. Plus, he said that the rubber wiper wouldn't break it. It might if it was under the metal arm. The cause was little to no silicone under the window. I gave Butler a chance to make it right, but they dismissed me. I would NOT recognize Butler. I hope my insurance company changes their relationship with this business.

They have a very comfortable clean office. You don't mind waiting here at all. They have some pictures hanging on the wall that looked like they had a story behind each one. The office is decorated very well. There was also two well behaved dogs in their own gated section of the office. There is a tv to keep you occupied. Scott wrote up the estimate he is very thorough and detailed. He is also very knowledgeable about the repairs and car insurance companies. They even had a gift for first time customers that brought their kids! 1 free Hot wheel! You don't see or experience great customer service much anymore but this place gave it all! When a rock was…read morekicked across the highway, scraping the hood of my car, shattering the windshield, and damaging the roof, I knew that's where I wanted my vehicle to go to be repaired. What I didn't know is that Caliper Collision had bought them out. No big deal, it's a preferred repair shop for my insurance company, so I'm sure it will be fine. Boy, was I wrong. My car was damaged on 8/4/21. L&M Towing in Vermilion came to get it that day and it was towed to Caliper in Monroeville that afternoon. All of the photos from the scene were sent to my insurance and I discussed in detail with the collision shop as to what damage was done. Payment was issued on 8/6/21 and repairs started to happen. It took longer than usual to get the windshield as it had to be OEM and I understood that because everything is taking some time with COVID. On 8/19/21 my car was finally completed and my husband went to pick it up. Not only had they not done the repair to the damage on the roof of the car, they had over sprayed my bumper and windows. The roof was pointed out and we had a picture from the accident scene yet they just didn't do it? Completely unacceptable. He was told that they would get it fixed and that it would be ready for pick up again soon. On 8/23/21 I was called and told that the overspray was taken care of and that the roof had been repaired. Again my husband went to pick it up. This time the paint was beautiful but the interior of the car still has glass pieces in it and there were black greasy handprint on the tan headliner and sun visor. He was told they would get it cleaned up, again, and it would be ready in the morning. I went to day, 8/24/21 to attempt to pick the car up again. The body work is perfect and the interior is clean but they decided to put my EZ pass and dash cam back on the windshield. This would be fine if they had put them where they belonged but they just put them wherever they wanted to put them. The EZ pass is not up and behind the mirror as I had it but in my line of vision. The dash cam placement now catches the block box behind the rearview mirror so I won't have a clear view of the road on camera. Yes, these can be moved but they should have never been put back on without being crystal clear as to where they went. I shouldn't have to scrape them off of a brand new windshield and remove the glue and place them again. The lady in the office offered to have them fix it but I didn't have the time or patience to wait any longer for my vehicle. Overall I am frustrated and exhausted with this experience. Work that was done was done lazily and some work was just skipped, and although all issues were fixed, it should have never happened like this. The EZ pass and dash cam are frankly not a big deal, but after dealing with issues for almost 3 weeks I am a little more than annoyed that I have to take the time to remove them, clean the windshield, and put them where they belong. I most definitely would not recommend this repair shop to anyone.
