I absolutely LOVED working with John at John's 4x4 Center!! I initially just had some questions about my car. I didn't like what the dealership was telling me needed to be done and I didn't like the price they were quoting me. A friend in Boulder recommended John's services. To me, word of mouth recommendations mean a lot. I was pleasantly surprised that, not being from the area, John was willing to take the time and explain what was wrong and why I needed my service. I called around to several dealerships and they all seemed to give me the run around AND the most expensive price. After everything was said and done, I felt like John was a part of my family. He was patient with all of my questions and even quoted me a lower price then any of the other dealerships that I contacted. To top it all off, when I returned home, John was able to recommend a local mechanic so that I didn't have to deal with my dealership and their run around any longer. I LOVE these guys! Every experience I have had with Kevin and the team at John's 4x4 has been exceptional. They consistently go out of their way to over deliver. I found them when I was looking for a 'second opinion' on the broken four wheel drive on my truck. Another shop had quoted over $3,000 to fix it. Kevin got it done for well under $1,000. Having an auto repair shop to rely on who's team is honest, personable, kind and always looking to SAVE me money is such an amazing gift. Oh Mr. Rick L !!! I have been dealing with both John's 4x4 locations for over 12 years now and have had great service, my 5 vehicles always fixed right the first time. I have even had employees of johns 4x4 to come to my house and or place of business to pick up and drop of my vehicles for service when It was not conveinant for me to come in or a emergency situation had come up. John's 4x4 goes above and beyond to take care of me and all of there customers as best as they can. From what I read of your postings Rick is that you actually have never bought anything from the store or had service work done? They lifted my f150 platinum 6" and new front and rear bumper with lights and installed the evolution cts, the 37" tires and awesome rims I picked out made my truck brand new again with the most awesome look. Big smile on my face when it was all done. Better than I expected. They now have a new customer for life. This will be the only place I bring my truck to get serviced and upgraded. The oil pump drive assembly on a 05-06 Jeep Wrangler is known to fail, and it failed on my 2006 Rubicon. I was advised by my mechanic to take it to a dealership or Jeep specialist. I had my Jeep towed to John's 4x4 and they fixed it within the day. They were courteous and jovial on the phone and when I picked up my Jeep. Their price was about 1/2 that of a Jeep dealership. I am delighted to have my Jeep back on the road and I would not hesitate to go back to John's. read more

The guys at Johns 4X4 are a pleasure to work with when they installed new shocks and airbags on my Landcruiser. They were able to schedule an appointment almost immediately. They finished the work very quickly and were helpful in having me understand how to use the airbags. I had an issue later where one of the bags failed. They quickly replaced them both at no cost. i stopped in because I needed an oil change and what I thought would be a costly repair to my winching system on my F250. Kevin at the front desk was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They performed the oil change quickly, and Kevin had me in back to see what was gumming up the winch - very minor issue and Kevin gave me some common sense maintenance tips at NO CHARGE! They were able to squeeze me in and install a third party harness they hadn't seen before in 25% of the time (and cost) that they estimated. Great guys! I worked with Issac at Boulder location. No communication during the time they had my Cherokee for diagnostics (4WD Service light)....I had to call. Agreed to call me at the end of the day with the results... did not call. I paid my 200$ "lesson learned fee" for the DX and going to start over with a different shop. read more

I agree with previous comment. They over-promise, overcharge and under deliver. Be sure to get all quotes in writing! They have a bad reputation with the 4 wheeling community in Boulder county. It's best to avoid them. read more
