The hotdog came with nothing not even a pickle! The hotdog had cheap shredded cheese. There was literally only about 5 TINY pieces of cheese splinters on it. The hotdog was just a normal sized dog. HOW did it take almost 20 minutes to receive our food? It was well over $50 including tip Ps our drinks were icewaters which do not cost anything.we have money! I arrived at Johnny Rockets at 9:40pm Sunday, Feb 15 to grab a bite before I went home. I asked the person at the counter if she could check my players card because I think I had a free thing on there. I couldn't remember the word "comp" at the time. I was told she wasn't supposed to do that but she will anyway, came back and said I had $20 (it was my birthday present from Mohegan). Then it got bad. I was treated very badly once I questioned if my soda was diet. I don't drink diet soda so I can taste the artificial sweetener right away. I was told I was wrong. I said I think it's diet. She took the glass, aggressively dumped it out and poured me a new soda adding that it was a regular soda as she walked away. My response to her was "Wow, you must really love your job.." She said she does love her job but I have been very ignorant. Never in my life have I been accused of being rude or ignorant. My daughters were servers when they were in school so I know how hard they work. This was a very unfortunate experience because I always liked Johnny Rockets. When I complained to another worker she went to the manager and came back and told me my meal would be comp'd and they will wrap it to go. In other words, I was asked to leave. Again, never in my life have I been treated so poorly, let alone when I'm a customer trying to spend money. read more

Where do I begin. The JR at Mohegan Sun is horrible. The place is dirty Service is horrible and I will never go there again. The waitress (Chantel) totally ignored us. I asked the cook to place our order and he delivered it to us. Therefore we did not leave a tip since she only took our order on a napkin. Delicious old fashioned milkshakes crispy fries and dip them into the yummy thick shake great for a late night snack lol and the burgers are yummy. The service was good and the salad was fresh. **A lady next to us said there was a fly on her chili cheese fries. So beware. They have her a second order promptly. I would have given this place a 4 for the food and good service, but the floors and table pedestals were filthy and there was old food on the floor. This place is a joke. Staff walking around aimlessly before and during getting service, ...10-15 minutes later. Ordered a pretzel comes out with no salt. Said nothing of the sorts pertaining to no salt when i ordered it. Ordered a burger and fries, and milkshake a different time the night before..same service. Meal was good but the portion size was very small, milkshake was a good portion. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. What I want potential patrons and the owners to know is the overpriced beverage menu which is somehow the only group with no prices in the menu is a complete rip-out exchange. $3.60 for a soda, ice tea, coffee, etc. they specifically left beverage prices off menu to purposely clobber you with this unexpected charge. So good for you Johnny Rockets, you pilfered my $3.60 but I'll never eat here or at any Johnny Rickets again, so a win for you I guess. My overly flamboyant waiter replied ".....that's how restaurants make their money!" When I questioned my $10+ bill for my essentially egg MC muffin and Diet Coke. If you had simply told your customer how overpriced the beverages were than I could have made an informed decision prior. There is nothing inherently "wrong" with this location of the Johnny Rockets chain. The food hits the spot when you crave tasty late-night burgers and proper milkshakes. There's also an awesome breakfast menu, and it's a convenient location in the casino. But that's the key here - it is INSIDE the casino. It appears Johnny Rockets corporate uploaded a lot of bogus photos for this location. For one, there are NO windows in here - it is a casino. But looking at the photos posted, you would think the sun is always shining at this location. It is not. To me, that is very deceptive and that's disappointing to see from this franchise. And I realize this review is easy chum for some manager to talk about how the food and service is constant and the photos are no big deal. I could see that. BUT, if that is the case, then why not delete the dozen or so canned photos out of the THIRTY-SEVEN you posted? If the photos were accurate, and actually of this Mohegan Sun location (like the one I posted - see the difference?) I would gladly update my review accordingly. But in the spirit of this Web site, I don't want someone driving from who knows where because they enjoy Johnny Rockets only to come here and see the place is smaller and not as vibrant as the popular stand-alone diner-style locations. read more

Yes this Johnny Rockets is in the casino. I know that Johnny Rockets is also a chain. I also have been here multiple times and I can say if you do sit towards the front of JRs cigarette and cigar smoke from the casino will carry into the Johnny Rockets. I usually will come here for breakfast because it's one of the only spots in the casino that are open early in the morning for breakfast. Their breakfast menu is limited but what they cook is cooked well. I usually get the Johnny's sandwich. It's like four dollars and you can't go wrong with that. The staff here is always been nice weather it's for breakfast or for dinner. I've never encountered a problem some nights they do stay open until two in the morning which is nice because a lot of the other places close. Overall this Johnny Rockets is a good location. I will come back here for breakfast When I am staying at the casino. It's cheap the food is well-made. The only downfall is the cigarette and cigar smoke from the casino but if you do ask to be seated towards the back you will avoid this issue. The $10.50 Philly cheesesteak sandwich was half the size of the same sandwich being served 100 ft away at another vendor in the food court. Had breakfast yesterday after a quick visit to the VA Hospital for a checkup. Got the omelet that came with sausage, also onions & tomatoes. Served with bread (got sourdough) and potatoes and also bought coffee (wow it was $3.15!). Food was really good, waitress really did not pay much of attention. We have Devon as our server and he was probably the least experienced and least polite server here ever. Not only was his man bun unprofessional, he didnt listen to anything we said, our milkshake was latterly chocolate milk and he didn't check on us or bring over silverware. Clean, fast and friendly service. What more can you ask for from a fast food restaurant?! Located in Mohegan Sun. They allow you to bring in your drinks, beer included from the casino floor. The only negative is the reeking smell of cigarettes. I wish it was an enclosed restaurant. read more

Yes, it's a chain. Yes, it's inside a casino. BUT! This place really hits the spot. We were at Mohegan Sun during a wedding weekend. After a few hours trying to (unsuccessfully) blow some money, I was starving. We had quite a few drinks at the wedding we went to, so there was no way I could go to bed without putting something in my gut. It was pretty late by this point (after 1 am, if I remember correctly), so The Man and I didn't have too many options to find grub. Luckily, Johnny Rockets was there to rescue us! Even though it was so late, the joint was jumping. At least half the tables were taken up, but we were seated immediately. The restaurant is brightly lit and very clean. All of the servers we saw were very busy and extremely friendly, even at that late hour. I honestly have no idea what The Man ordered because all of my attention was focused on what I found on the menu - bacon cheese fries! Our waitress must have been a mind reader because she appeared within seconds of me deciding what I wanted to order. We asked for sodas and our little snacks. The waitress cheerfully bopped her way to the computer and put in our order. The Man and I discussed the wedding for a few minutes before our food was brought out to us. Honestly, I don't remember anything else of our trip other than OMGBACONCHEESEFRIES! There was soooooooo much bacon. It was cut into little chunks and sprinkled on top of the cheese that smothered the fries. There was enough bacon to enjoy on every bite. The fries themselves were fried to crispy, golden perfection. The melted cheese looked and tasted more like "cheez", but isn't that what you want in an application like this? It was served piping hot, with just the right amount of grease. We went here last Thursday for lunch. We walked up and waited to be seated. We stood there at least 2 minutes with waitress' passing by, not one of them even acknowledged us. Finally, the manager noticed us and greeted us. Said he'd have a table in a minute. He told a waitress to please clear a table. She told him, do it yourself. And he did. If she worked for me I would have fired her on the spot. Anyway, as soon as he cleared the table one of the waitress' told him there were clean tables in the back. He took us and another couple back there and said he would send a certain waitress over because, she's so fast. We sat there 5-7 minutes, again not acknowledged. At this point we left and went to the pizza joint. We noticed the other couple left as well. We tried again late night and were greeted at to go register by a middle aged woman who was very clearly enjoying a hot flash from hell. She didn't take the order, she walk away and just started cooking, wtf, we were still standing there. So, we left, again. By this time all the other places are closed. We ate dinner from the vending machines. Never going back, EVER. I used to make a special stop on my way to Lancaster Co for burgers and fries to go and eat it in the truck. They have gone down hill.
