I have had gastric bypass and need help with the snacking and carbohydrates is this something you can help with?

Hi Jennifer, Yes both holistic nutrition coaching and hypnotherapy can help in different ways. Also I used to lead a gastric bypass support group so I can help from that perspective as well.

Are you available for any past life regression hypnosis? Or any type of hypnosis in general?

HI! Thanks for your inquiry. I do not provide past life regression hypnosis. It is worthwhile, if that is where your interest lies, to seek out a hypnotherapist who specializes in past life regression. It is a highly specialized theory of treatment… Read more

My husband and I are new residents to California and I am currently pregnant with our first child. We have no family in the area. I had a phone consult scheduled with the owner, Ms. Michele, on January 5th, 2026. She called me on time and we both mutually agreed to move forward with the on-boarding process for doula services for my pregnancy. She requested that I call my insurance company and gather the information for her in an email. I did this, and sent her an email the following night, on January 6th. I didn't hear anything from her, so I sent a text message to both her work and personal cell phone number on January 9th. No response. At this point, I am 37 weeks, and anxious to move things along for doula services. The weekend and Monday goes by, and I still have not received a reply. I decide, as a last attempt, to call her. I called both her work and personal cell phone and left a voicemail on each line on Tuesday, January 13th. Nothing. Shame on the owner, Ms. Michele, for stating that she will move the process forward and said she will have a doula for me for my birth. She lied. She disclosed to me during our consult that she is a mother herself and had over twenty years of experience working as a L&D nurse. This provided me great relief and happiness, only for it to be crushed when she never replied to my messages. How can someone with this sort of background make a promise and then not follow through? Ms. Michele should be ashamed of herself not only on a professional level, but also on a personal level. This seems to be a wider issue with the Doula profession as I was ghosted by another local Sacramento doula company as well as the Volunteer Doula Coordinator at Mercy Hospital of Folsom. I believe doulas are a valuable asset to a woman's birth experience, however, I will not be wasting my time anymore trying to arrange one for my pregnancy.

The prenatal visits were detailed, personal and every discomfort I experienced was met with a suggestion on how to provide relief rather than it being dismissed as another pregnancy symptom. And she did just that! I had very little post partum issues (if any) compared to the plethora I had with my first at the hospital. I felt more empowered as a mother after this home birth than I did with my hospital birth. Dania also gives you the freedom and strengthening support to deliver however your body feels led in the comfort of your home. Her joyful personality was exactly what my type A personality needed. Home birth is so natural but it is imperative that you have a trained guide to walk with you beginning to end. Look no further than Tel and Taproot Midwifery. I was adamant that I wanted a home birth but my husband was a bit skeptical due to lack of exposure, until we began our prenatal care with Tel. Tel made us both feel immediately at ease and fully trusting in them to provide the best care possible and when it came time to welcome our baby into the world, Tel was the best person to do that with. I always felt heard and my concerns were always taken seriously. I also learned so much about my baby's development along the way. As a 32 year old, new mama-to-be, I was very anxious about the road on which my body and mind were headed. My menstrual cramps had been brutal growing up and i equated that with having a low threshold for pain. So when I learned I was pregnant, I convinced myself that the only way I was going to get my baby out was through a self-elected cesarean, or an epidural paired with a cocktail at the very least. It wasn't until the end of my first trimester when my perspective had shifted. Propelled by my dissatisfaction with Kaiser's service, I sought out alternatives to my prenatal care. I remembered my colleague's home birth story which inspired bodily integrity and local midwifery services. Skeptical that the home birth approach was right for me, I scheduled a consultation with Taproot anyway. The consultation with Tel and Amy did more than just answer the 50 questions I had prepared beforehand. It quieted the worries racing in my head regarding patient and care provider relational dynamics on top of common pregnancy-related anxieties. While we covered many topics in the hour-long consultation, I'd like to highlight what resonated with me the most: 1. When I asked about the types of labor pain management techniques they offer, they said that a home birth itself is pain management. I wasn't sold on this response initially. With each subsequent week, however, I realized all the little things about my home that make me feel the safest and most comfortable: my bed, the cleanliness, the power to decide who enters my personal space. Ultimately, this is what put my body, mind and soul at ease during labor. 2. They believe in the power of "no" and always asked for my consent before touching any part of my body or my baby's body. This experience was unexpected but much appreciated especially as an adult survivor of child abuse. Being poked and prodded by medical providers without verbal consent is so normalized nowadays. My time with Taproot has taught me to be a stronger advocate for myself and that I have complete autonomy over my body. 3. Another thing that resonated with me was that they valued our time together. Each prenatal and postpartum appointment was scheduled to be an hour long. If i came with a list of questions, they took the time to carefully answer each one. On days i wasn't so inquisitive, they educated me and my husband about all things pregnancy and gave us practical resources to help mentally and physically prepare for labor and postpartum. If you feel drawn to some of the experiences I mentioned or are considering going the home birth route, it wouldn't hurt to schedule a free consultation with Tel and Amy. I don't know for sure what the rest of my pregnancy journey would've looked like had i remained in Kaiser's care. But i do know that my prenatal care team- Tel, Amy and my husband, was truly a dream team that empowered and supported me from pregnancy to postpartum.

I had planned to have a typical doctor-led birth at a hospital with an epidural and Chloe walked me and my husband through what to expect at the hospital and I felt a lot of comfort knowing that I'd have her as an advocate to be sure I wasn't pressured into doing anything that I didn't want to do by hospital staff. Knowing that Chloe also works at Midtown Nurse Midwives, my husband and I asked her what our birth plan experience might look like should we choose that route and we instantly knew that the birth center birth was what we wanted. Now, you might be thinking, if the birth center has doulas, why would I need to hire one? Yes, you need to hire a doula! Chloe came to my house and supported me and my husband through early labor, which I feel like was the worst part for me! She did what she could to keep me comfortable, keep me hydrated, but most importantly - to help my labor progress. My labor lasted about 35 hours in total and when she wasn't with me, she was on the phone coaching my husband on what to do. In the end, I wound up getting the unmedicated birth that I wanted and know there is no way I would have gotten through it without Chloe. She is truly amazing! Chloe also checked in on my new little family a day or so after my babe was born and brought us the most delicious lentil dal, which lasted us several meals. And she dehydrated and encapsulated my placenta, which was very convenient with her attending my birth, she was able to take it straight from the birth center and then deliver with my postpartum visit. I think of her dearly when I reflect on my birth experience, she helped bring our daughter into this world and that is so special to share with someone. If we ever decide to have another babe, I will most definitely hire Chloe again, she is truly amazing! From the bottom of my heart, thank you Chloe, we love you!!!

She is a dream come true for our family. I trust her wholeheartedly and during labor she offered her entire heart, energy, and soul to me and my family, and for that we are eternally grateful. Upon meeting Chloe, it was clear to us that we had found our doula - she's thoughtful, calm, knowledgeable, and listens carefully. When we met with her before our son's birth, she took the words out of my mouth which gave me peace of mind and built my trust in her incredibly quickly. This is so valuable because birth is such a sacred and vulnerable space. She was available for questions throughout my labor and her IG is full of positive, empowering and helpful information. Fast forward to labor. I went into early labor on a Thursday afternoon and gave birth early on a Friday morning. Very late on Thursday evening, we called Chloe and asked her to come to our home because I began to question my own abilities. She arrived promptly and immediately helped put my partner and me at ease so I could continue to labor at home and progressed to 9cm upon arrival at the hospital. She worked so well with my partner. She provided ongoing comfort measures, reassuring affirmations, and helpful suggestions to keep my confidence up and keep labor progressing at home. This allowed my partner to be my cheerleader which is exactly what I needed him to be as my number one supporter. Throughout the process Chloe amplified my wishes and needs allowing me to have the most empowering birth I could have wished for. I truly believe that Chloe was the difference between a repeat C-section and a VBAC for me. She was determined to help baby and me into positions that allowed gravity to help since my first labor was deemed "failure to progress" after 3 days of labor and 10cm dilated. Her suggestions not only helped this labor progress quickly but made me feel in charge of this birth. I still chat with Chloe during this postpartum period to ask questions and because she's just that awesome. Related, if you are interested in placenta encapsulation, I also highly recommend her for that. Thank you, Chloe, for all that you did for me and my family. I know any family is in excellent hands with you
