But I explained my situation and they told me to come in the next day(!) so Dr. Felton could check it out and advise me. So I show up the next day (15 minutes late even) and they still took me! I should stop here and say how wonderful every staff member I interacted with was. The front desk person, the dental tech, Dr Felton, all amazing. And the office is big but beautifully appointed and they have all the most current technology and the equipment that it comes with. They can even make crowns on-site and no impressions! They digitally scan my mouth and then fabricate the crown right there! So in 3 days I go in in the morning and walk out in a few hours with a brand new crown. Omg, how I wish I could find a dental practice this good back in Northern California, but I'm still looking. And if you're freaked out about being in the dental chair I can't imaging a better place to go and have your nerves calmed down. This practice is top shelf all the way.

A mayor procedure was planned, involving Dr. Olsen from Smile Missoula, as well as dental surgeon Dr. Holtzen and anesthesiologist Dr. Ochs both from the Cosmetic Arts Center, Missoula. I have epilepsy. All doctors involved were fully briefed and assured me their experience in working with people with epilepsy. Turned out that Dr. Ochs was absolutely not prepared to work with me. He refused anesthesia while I was sitting in the waiting room, all prepped for surgery. All was cancelled even though I had followed each and every step necessary to make the procedure a success. While the surgeon's office refunded the entire amount of my prepaid fees, Dr. Olsen thinks it's justified to keep part of my money for preparatory work. He charged me instead those responsible for the cancellation: Dr. Ochs! Dr. Holtzen! The Cosmetic Arts Center!

Around 8:50, 2 hygienists came to the front; one assisting a patient and the other leading the receptionist back to an exam room. I was then told by the employee that usually handles billing that it would be a little bit. I left the office at 9:15am without being seen. My time is as valuable as anyone's and I don't recommend that anyone looking for dental care in Missoula subject themselves to this way of doing business.

I attempted to dispute a charge, ot took over 6months of back and forth with their secretary. I was told that their finance dept would contact me. Never did. I had to call every month, when they would resend the bill. The secretary said they emailed us of the insurnace change, they never did, they don't even have my email address. Jolynn takes her time and does a thorough job, always taking my comfort into consideration. Instead I got a rushed, uneasy and uncomfortable feeling from the way he spoke to me. At the end of my visit I was confused and had no idea if my cavity was an easy fix or if it was going to kill me. He made it seem like it was an impossible fix, and at the end of the "examination" (he only looked at my teeth for 30 seconds and then gave me a lecture on wether or not I should think about stoping my bipolar medication, something he never consulted my psychiatrist about, and never asked for their approval). After that He said "ok... so what do you want from me?" As I was walking out I could overhear him speaking to his assistant about me in a rude tone. I was So distraught from it all and cried when I got back into my car. I wouldn't recommend.
