I've been a patient of Dr. Joshua Katz since I was first diagnosed with MS, and he's everything you want a doctor to be. He's one of the most intelligent people I know, but he's not afraid to say "I don't know" and to consult with colleagues and literature to get more information for you. As I write this, he's in Stockholm at the ECTRIMS congress to learn about the latest MS research and developments, and he's sharing updates with ELC patients on their Facebook page. He's hosted live online Q&As for patients, and it seems that whenever I email him with a question or concern, I have a response within an hour or two--even on weekends. And Dr. Katz is just one member of the team at the ELC! I've never met a patient of Dr. Ellen Lathi who isn't breathlessly praising her performance. I had my first appointment with Dr. Kenneth Gorson last week for intramuscular Botox injections, and I was so impressed by his ability to understand and address my movement issues. This Wellesley facility is beautiful and if hospitalization is ever warranted the doctors on staff have admitting privileges to a variety of area hospitals. No one should ever have to endure MS. It's a horrible and often unforgiving disease. Having said that, there's no place better to seek out help.

They put a stent in and all last week did the work up for the clearing of her arteries. Blood test ekg scan blood work and the cardiac doctor penciled her in for a caf this past Monday. I did not know they rotate out doctors. In comes this Anne Marie Anosropoulos. She sees my mom for all of ten minutes and declines the precedure We did everything needed to get her to do the caf . Come Monday. They switch to another doctor. They are now saying no. They said they were bringing in a third party for independent review. That was bullshit . We have waited all day and exhausted. They rotate doctors so you are not talking to the one following her the first week. This place is more running around with these young people and put zero care into the patients. She had no history or knowledge or anything. My mom didn't have an iv. At the end of the day she comes in and asks. I said why. Where were you all all day ? She than proscribed nausea medicine that could cause another heart I code r. I asked her to out in place dnr. It still haven't been done. I'm not happy. We wasted all last week. Why didn't they keep her in urology. She still has a huge d Kidney stone. Okaxe is pathetic . Go to mass general. Please avoid this place at all costs. After suffering with migraines for the past 9 years, I decided to make an appointment here (my…read moreprimary care doctor, also at Newton Wellesley, urged me to make an appointment). My appointment was at 1 pm, so I figured I wouldn't get called in until 1:30 as I'm used to waiting awhile at doctor's offices (they never seem to run on time). However, I was shocked when the doctor called me in right at 1! He asked me detailed questions regarding my headaches and also had reviewed the questionnaire that I was mailed before my appointment. He also did an exam to test my motor skills. The doctor was amazing. He seemed to really care about my issues and how we were going to solve them. The entire appointment was about 45 minutes, which is pretty long considering most doctors spend 10 minutes with you and send you on your way. I have a follow up in 2 months and can't wait to go back!

Nurse I think , called security, they put their hands on me , ( assaulted me ) and removed me from the hospital for taking a picture of myself....Which I showed their security people the photograph. I'm flushing out my colon and trying to use only three patient bathrooms available in the ER for patients ... That was one miserable experience plus in the middle of the treatment I'm assaulted by a female security guard for no reason , ie...sitting on my stretcher while she tries to hurt my hand and wrist , and then the nurse manager comes and says , your out of here .... In the middle of a bowel flush they force me to the street. My complaints go nowhere and the asshole in patient relations ,was the most incompetent jerk I've ever spoken with.... Do not go to this hospital as they are inept at patient care and won't even own up to their own mistakes and actions ... What a scam these patient advocates are ...Totally protect MGH at all costs and not the PATIENT. F--k you MGH and your shitty staff.

Unfortunately a friend need a neurologist, she got recommended by another doctor. First appointment she fit her in right away, But after my appointment there was a huge lack of communication. She went for testing and didn't get the results until she called her back after three calls. year later had to make another appointment. this time no appointment wasn't until six months later. I guess she had to work around her time. unfortunately had to cancel the appointment patient got sick that week, but need a refill of a medication that Chaves prescribed. Her nurse was extremely rude, because of cancellation The nurse said she couldn't refill the medication. The prescription wasn't expired it just needed to be adjusted because the insurance. The nurse proceeding on arguing with her telling her that wasn't she looking for a new neurologist, you haven't seen Chaves for a long time. The patient told her that this medication was important to her well being and Cheves needed a ride up why she wouldn't give it to her. like a miracle she went to her pharmacy and it was there. Talking to other patients I have learned that it's usually the nurses that are lacking not always the doctors and because you have to deal with the nurses you get sometimes rude ones and ones who think they're on top of the hill and might be just cause you just a little bit too much trouble. Unfortunately because of the nurse that patient has extinguished her relationship with Dr.Chaves.
