Must read!!! So far so good! I have nothing but great things to say, but I wanted to share one experience particularly. A couple weeks ago, I embarked on a family vacation cruising from Galveston. Everything was going extremely well. I arrived at the counter to check-in, and things changed. I had left behind my birth certificate, and passport. Without either of these documents you're not allowed to cruise. I browsed through my emails for some sort of copy. Found everything! My VA records, DD214, photo copy of my passport, old military I.D., drivers license, shot records and even ex-wifes birth certificate, but not my own. So I proceeded with plan B. I called my mom to see if she had an extra copy, but no luck. I called the health department, and various sites suggested on Google. I even spent $40 on a site that guaranteed an instant copy of my birth certificate only to find additional paperwork was required. The cruise management suggest I have someone go into my home and screenshot the birth certificate. Being I had just moved here with no friends or family in the area, that option seemed impossible. Then I had the idea! Why not call property management and have them get it for me. I called and spoke with a gentleman in the office. He stated he was the only one in the office at the time, and there wasn't much he could do from his position. In my mind this was very understandable. I went back to Google. Few minutes later, my phone rang! Someone from the office came in, heard the scenario, and was immediately ready to assit. All I had to do was send an email granting John Reider permission to enter the residence on my behalf. Long story short, I boarded the ship 30 mins after making the initial phone call to the office. ~When it was time for us to put our home on the market, we wanted a smooth, peaceful experience. (We experienced the exact opposite with the purchase of this home). We had been catching glimpses of Lauren Reider (Hallmark) via social media for about a year and decided to reach out. From onset, she was very forth coming about what we could expect from the market, and from her (both personally and professionally). She didn't miss a beat with her communication which was most important to us. We had multiple interested buyers and multiple offers on our home, all with different value propositions, we even received above asking price. We didn't know her prior and have high expectations of those we work with (especially real estate agents). ~She DID NOT disappoint. She was personal enough, yet professional, gave honest feedback, answered all of our questions in a timely manner and without judgement, had open communication on&off the clock, and was really in the trenches with us. Laure is amazing. A real life Wonder Woman that truly knows what she is doing. At NINE MONTHS PREGNANT, She listed my house the 26th of March, and we had multiple offers right away. I was willing to settle for an offer that was 4k over asking after the second day of showings because we were antsy, but Lauren advised that I wait until the end of day Monday and decide so the scheduled showings could be completed. Sure enough, We got an offer on the 28th that was 20k OVER ASKING. She drew up the paperwork, and we closed 17 days later! A week past her due date at this point, for her first child, and being induced the very next day, this woman was blue taping the new construction I was getting ready to close on a week later. She truly wanted us to be able to move into our new home knowing that everything was PERFECT. She didn't miss a WINK. She was literally having contractions and did her job to the absolute fullest from the first step on the property to the final step out of the house. I know that Lauren goes above and beyond for all of her clients, but I was honestly pleasantly surprised at how hard working and diligent she was even still with being that far along in her pregnancy and still taking me on as a client so close to her delivery date. After exploring several property management companies in the area, we came to the conclusion that if you want your property to be managed with honesty, integrity, and professionalism, John Reider Properties will produce! Our home in Texas has been in their very capable hands for several years now, and we never worry about a thing. Our home has never been vacant, but always rented immediately when a lease term is about to end. Our home always looks to be in great condition inside and out (we are provided with pictures). I feel like we have our own "personal agent" in Robin Cargill! Robin is very easy to reach by phone or email, and is always able to answer any question we may have at a moment's notice. If she doesn't have an answer, she is very diligent in getting back to us with the information we need as soon as she can. I have nothing but nice things to say about John Reider Properties. The property was clean when I moved in. Everyone in the office was very friendly and professional. The couple of times something did break, they would send someone to fix it either the same day or the very next. If it was the air conditioner, they always had someone out there immediately, which I really appreciated because I had pets sensitive to heat. They have a list of things you are required to do before final inspection, as most respectable places do. If you follow the list and do your best cleaning and keep the yard neat, you won't have any issues getting your deposit back. I have recently moved out of a property from John Rider Properties and I can honestly say that I did not receive all of my deposit back and I was pretty upset. I made the mistake of not being present during my check out because I ran out of time and did not realize that I had to give them back the property in the same shape as they gave it to me because I was in too much of a rush and could not get into the office to give my move out notice. The good news and which surprised me the most is that I did not get ripped off like all the other negative reviews stated.
