Lumbosacral root pain is unlike anything I've ever experienced. The ER staff were top notch and worked hard to relieve my pain and admitted me to find out the root of the problem. Every nurse, technician, assistant, doctor, specialist, etc. was attentive and helpful. It was a neurosurgeon who discovered that a screw in my lumbar area is touching my sciatic nerve. There is nothing to be done about it as it's too risky. However, we are going to do extensive rehabilitation to build the muscle around the area. It will help to manage the pain.
