I can't…read moresay it has anything in particular to do with the care I received but rather a series of events that just didn't go well for me. When I selected this practice, I thought I would be going to an office downtown on Arch Street but then I got an email confirmation but the address was at the Navy Yard. I never would have opted for that because of the drive however I went anyway. The office was beautiful and the views amazing as each station faces the river. The commute however was viscous and as such made me super irritated and anxious, a mood I don't want to be in when settling in to have my teeth worked on. Scheduling follow up appointments was also a chore with timing and miscommunication about what I was scheduled for. I was there to have a cracked tooth repaired but a cleaning kept taking precedence until I made it clear I wanted the bad tooth addressed first. I do give them much credit for the referral to Excel Endodontics for the root canal and the fabulous crown they were able to create because it was not easy. But even after all that I got a text saying my claim was being denied because I had a North Carolina address on my paperwork. Not sure how that happened but it was too much. I hate going to the dentist so I just need an easier experience in the future.

If you are a person who is afraid of dentist, this is the office to go to. If you have a problem, they will fit you in, very accommodating and they do everything themselves. (no hygenists or x-ray techs, etc.) I used to think the more high-tech, office employees and latest "gadgets" for teeth was better. I tried that and ended up in pain because they did not care about the patients. I have been going to these dentists for 4+ years and would not change a thing. Kudos to Dr. Butler and Stein!

He was also very gentle with his numbing which is the part that scares me the most personally. By the time I found Dr. Weinstock I was a mess, worried about insurance, treatment, timing, anesthesia that was safe for me while nursing, and more. We eventually decided that I needed a dental implant and extraction due to the quality of the tooth. Dr. Weinstock and his dental assistant Nancy were incredible at addressing my concerns gently and straightforwardly. I was in their office at least 6 times throughout the course of my care, and each time they remembered to ask about my family, check in on my concerns, and assure me that I was doing well. My implant looks amazing (perfectly matches my other teeth) and the process never surpassed a 2 on the pain scale. You might have no idea until you've been through it how many clinical professionals of all stripes and certifications don't know how to listen, especially if you have a rare condition. Jamie listened with patience and curiosity, took all my comments and concerns to heart, and integrated everything into individualized strategies for cleaning and home care. She is also research-literate and makes recommendations based on specific data from studies on Waterpik pressure levels for example. Jamie's skill is also impeccable, I left with the smoothest naturally white teeth of my life just from polishing and the ultrasonic scaler. During the whole time she adjusted water temperature and pressure according to my sensitivity level, applied topical anesthetic to more sensitive areas and checked in constantly about pain and modified technique instantly when needed. For anyone anxious about the dentist, she tells you exactly what she is about to do and why, so you are never surprised or talked down to and are fully included in decision-making. The little things really are the big things. To the practice, please know how tremendously valuable your hygienist is! Also, the pricing is really not worse than competitors in the area and what you are getting is trust and assurance in being treated well.
