Absolutely wonderful and the therapist you have been looking for! I found these guys via my…read moreneighbor who is a respected therapist but I couldn't go to her because well, she's my neighbor. She told me that Caring Connected is a great group and I would be happy with them. This isn't one therapist, this is several therapists under one roof. When you call, there's a social worker that manages the practice. They will do an intake. Most importantly, they will spend time with you to ask what it is you are looking for. What qualities are you looking for in a therapist? Have you had bad experiences with other therapists? They want to know. The social worker will pair you with a therapist that they believe will meet your needs. From the moment I called, I felt a genuine sense of caring. To say that many therapists in Santa Clarita are not the greatest might be an understatement. I once went to one elsewhere and the therapist was late to every appointment. Not a little late either, on average about 45 minutes late. And there was the other one that took zero interests in my issues and said, "I don't know, maybe you should try medication and then come back." Gee, thanks. So after doing my intake, I was told that they had someone in mind for me that they felt would be perfect. I was reminded that after my first meeting with the therapist, if I didn't feel it was a good fit, they would assign me to someone else and that I should not hesitate to ask if I wanted to. Even the therapist on our first meeting reminded me that if I didn't feel she was a good fit, I shouldn't feel bad asking to change. Thankfully, the therapist I was placed with was exactly what I was looking for. Exactly. I was with someone that was qualified, experienced and specialized in what I was dealing with. I could not be happier! Billing is a snap. You do place a card on file with them. You walk in and walk out. They will charge your card and email you a receipt. Need a super bill? Not a problem, they will help you with that as well. Need to submit to insurance? They will provide instructions that can help you make sure your claim is paid and not rejected. Just a heads up, they do not take insurance. Keep in mind, therapists that take insurance have to agree to a reduced rate that the insurance companies force them to charge. Think about it, if you were a good qualified therapist and one of the better ones, would you go to work and take less money? I've begun to suspect that this is why I had such a problem finding a decent therapist from the list provided to me by my insurance company. Thankfully, I'm able to submit my receipts to my insurance company. Although they do not cover the same percentage they would if the provider was in network, they do cover a fair amount and this helps. Like many other things in life, you get what you pay for. Super thankful I found these guys!

I had one topic in mind to discuss and she kept changing topics and asking about health conditions and I told her i felt good about ending my marriage as friends and she yelled "you're not friends - he's a narcissist ". I don't see him that way. She degraded my husband, asking me "do you STILL like this man" and was extremely judgemental that I stayed with him for 25 years and that I am still a resident of AZ since that's where my husband lives. It was the weirdest session I've ever had with a Dr before. It was like a toddler with ADHD who asks a question, doesn't wait for the answer then asks a different question. I tried 3 times to redirect the convo to the topic I came to discuss & she would change the topic . She even insinuated that I was shallow bcuz I wanted to improve myself b4 putting myself out there to date. She argued with me SO long that again, I couldn't discuss the topic I came there to discuss. She talks way too much and doesn't listen to her clients. I would NEVER refer anyone to her !

My friend recommended I talk to a psychologist because I was so stressed out and I reluctantly agreed. Meeting Dr. Cicconi was like a breath of fresh air. Her office was very welcoming. There was a couch in the waiting area and a love seat in her office. Her little office was furnished to give it a comfy, homey feel. I found the hour long visits went by very quickly because I had so much to talk about. Dr. Cicconi was very warm, personable and experienced in her field. She was able to reassure me and give me lots of great advice that I still use to this day! She was also able to recommend a progesterone cream (Kokoro balance) that helped me so much my hormonal issues went away! And she recommended a quality brand of melatonin supplements (Source Naturals sublingual) to help me sleep. After seeing her only a handful of times my health had improved so much that I decided to stop seeing her, but to keep her number just in case anything changed. Over the years I have tried different brands of progesterone cream and melatonin just to try to save money, but time and again I have learned that those two brands she recommended are the best I can find. After I stopped seeing her I recall bumping into her at the movie theater a few weeks after my last appointment. I was excited to see her and I gave her a big hug and thanked her for her help. She was happy that I was doing so well and did not pressure me to keep coming, (like some places do sometimes). Even though it has been so long since I have seen Dr. Cicconi, I am still so glad I did because, without her help I don't know where I would be. Thank you, Dr. Cicconi, for your dedication to the profession! My family and I appreciate you! :)

To start, I was told that they record every session and use an AI service to take notes, and I felt really uncomfortable by that. I told them how uncomfortable it made me, and they kept pressuring me to accept their AI note taking service. I repeatedly expressed discomfort, but was repeatedly encouraged to consent to it. Then they told me their insane attendance policy. If you have to miss two sessions in a month, they drop you as a client, no exceptions. I was told it doesn't matter if there's an emergency or something urgent, you're dropped. And it only works one way. There were times my therapist would ask me to reschedule my session for something she needed to do, I would say I'm not free at the times she asked, and she would say "oh well that's fine, this just counts as your one per month." So my therapist would need me to adjust my schedule, and I'm the one having it count against me because I can't just drop my entire schedule to accommodate. I once brought this up, and we legitimately spent over HALF a session talking about their billing and attendance practices. I honestly got billed for a session, where we spent a majority of the time talking about their billing practices. I was billed to talk about being billed! But the part that was most galling happened recently. I was working with my therapist through an incredibly unsafe working condition, and she agreed that I am generally unsafe at my workplace and need to find another place to work immediately, since it's impacting my physical health. Only I had job interviews that were scheduled during our sessions. I would reach out proactively to try to reschedule, and would just get a blanket "I don't have any other availabilities." No offer to move things around, no offer to make things up, just nothing. During one of those times, I actually texted her that I could still make my session, only to get NO response. So naturally they count this as my one cancellation per month. Then I had another promising interview reach out, but the only time they were free overlapped just barely with our session. Again, I reached out two days in advance per their policy, only to get told "I don't have any available time." I asked if we can move it, if we can make it up another day, no response until the next morning with another cold "Just let me know I you can make the session." It really felt like my therapist was just doing everything she could to avoid any responsibility for the situation, and trying to put it on me. She texted me back asking me to attend the session and show up late to a JOB INTERVIEW, and said the reason was so they could see me for enough of a session to bill for it. Their admin reached out to me about something and I responded back regarding this, and they just legitimately had no perspective whatsoever. First I spoke to an individual who said "oh well why don't you reschedule?" I said I would love to but my therapist told me she couldn't. Then they said it was "my choice whether to attend the session or not." I told them they're telling me to either skip my job interview or be discharged as a client, and she tried to claim they weren't saying that, but that they would discharge me as a client if I missed the session. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and the front desk manager called me. She had the nerve to ask me, at 5:30 in the afternoon on Thursday, if I could call and reschedule my job interview scheduled for Friday morning. What on earth are you smoking that you think this is an appropriate thing to ask someone to do? I asked if there's a way I could attend the session and leave a little early, and she said "no, you need to be there for the full 60 minutes." Which I told her was absolutely news to me, because my therapist would regularly end our sessions at 50 minutes each time. She said she would call me back to see if I could be discharged from my therapist and transferred to another, since she's going on leave next month anyway. And instead I just got an email from my therapist the next day saying I was discharged as a client, and given referrals to mental health clinics that serve the unhoused. I was told to do everything I could to leave an abusive and bad situation, then discharged as a client for taking the EXACT steps to do so! Their practices are entirely punitive, negligent, and unethical. I plan on reporting them to the state licensing board based on their behavior and policies

When we started on this journey together, this sort of side-by-side walk, I was completely bereft of hope and flipping around in the muck of my life like a beached porpoise. I had no expectation that I would be anything more than a "bottom feeder," which is how I had described myself during our first conversation. In fact, I was seriously contemplating suicide; I sincerely wanted to just disappear without a trace. I wanted my life, my history, my pain, my disappointment, etc to just be blotted out. Unfortunately, I simply could not see a way out of a seemingly bottomless unhappiness, and I was certain that my entire existence was a colossal mistake--a sort of cosmic joke. Working with the dreams that I was able to share with her, she helped me, by degrees, to "pick up the thread" of my purpose and place in this world. This is something that I simply did not think was possible. How could it be that talking about dreams in this unique way could buoy my spirits and dramatically alter my understanding of how and why I'm here? How could I come to understand that my being here was not a mistake in any way, shape, or form? Renee's dreamtending is not some facile parsing of signifiers (ie, daffodils mean renewal and salmon symbolizes fecundity); it's something difficult to describe, but ultimately full of content that speaks to and salves the soul. This work requires a certain amount of courage and fortitude--I've turned away from the responsibility of *knowing* time and again--but Renee is such a wise and gentle and comforting teacher and friend that everything becomes much easier to bear. There is so much to learn should I choose to--Renee makes no demands, asserts no pressure, and lets everything come to pass in its own good time--and I feel so blessed to know that Renee will continue to guide me and work with me and the gifts of the dreamtime. I always feel so lifted every single time we speak. Indeed, Renee helped me to open my heart enough that, after 39 years of being single, I finally cultivated enough openness and faith to allow someone to come into my life. He is a beautiful beautiful human being, inside and out, and we were recently married! Renee has shepherded me through the most amazing transformation of my life, and I'm sure there is much more to come.

I had engaged in many activities to change my orientation to life, but nothing has impacted me like this work. In these last 5 years of working with Renee, I have shifted from being often depressed and sometimes despairing to waking up excited about what the day might bring. I have become so much more awake to my life as a result of spending time with Renee and my dreams. The way it works is a bit of a mystery, but I have certainly felt "loved forward" by my dreams as Renee assures us dreams will do. I am always surprised by what the dreams reveal, and the wisdom and support they bring us. I have learned so much about the patterns in my life that no longer serve me. And I love how the dream time reveals our foibles in such a creative and often funny way. The work is deep, but also delightful. Renee is a truly a gift to all of us who get to work with her.

Inna also performed hypnosis therapy on her, and the very next day we noticed huge strides in a deeper level of comfort. What I also love about Inna is she will let you know when she thinks a you are ready to graduate from therapy.
