worst experience I've ever had with a dentist. I found him rude, unqualified, and somewhat unstable.

I was referred for a root canal retreatment and saw Dr. Carmen Cicalese (Somerville). He was very…read moregood at explaining the entire operation and my different options in terms of what to do he did recommend a 3-D x-ray and he explained and displayed to me exactly what the issue was. I was very impressed by the amount of compassion and time he took in order to explain everything so that I made a better decision. The front office was very pleasant and upon me telling them that I had some discomfort they immediately scheduled me without giving me difficulties. They processed my paperwork online and made it a breeze. For the extraction they referred me to Warren oral surgery and I had a unpleasant experience with the front staff at Warren Oral surgery The staff at Oral surgery made it difficult for me to make an appointment and after the appointment I requested the doctor called me with some information and I never got a callback.

This place is terrific, they make route canal fun...sort of. I'm only halfway done with the root…read morecanal (it takes two or more visits if you've never had this done). The nitrous oxide (laughing gas) made it a lot of fun I mean where else can you get a medically monitored high with no guilt (I'm just joking of course it was used on me for anxiety obviously)? The nitrous oxide AKA NO2 is $75option and they will try and put it through on your insurance. How could they charge so much you ask, because it feels awesome and everyone knows it (better than weed by far in my opinion), plus it makes a miserable procedure go from virtually unbearable to virtually unnoticeable. As far as the professionalism of the office they get top marks. With regards to the doctor that I saw whose name is escaping me right now, he's all business and really knows root canal. They're not just dentists their endodontist which is kind of like a dentist "on steroids" (I hate that expression, I couldn't think of anything better at the moment). Believe it or not the dentist that sent me there "didn't feel comfortable doing root canal it on the molars", I found that kind of strange because I went to a professional, a dentist(!). Apparently this is pretty normal and this is why Endodontists exist. In fact given the skill level I would say go to an endodontist for any root canal, period. The last time I had root canal it was by a regular dentist and you could tell with certain parts of it he was having some issues. So far the tooth is fine, roughly a year later, but you can definitely tell that the extra three years of schooling (fellowship) that the specialists/Endodontists go through teall

About 2 months ago, another dentist noticed the issue came back so he advised me to come back to see Dr. Tracey to have re-treatment. The I started to make appointment with this office - i called the office every Tuesday for the past 4 Tuesdays, still just called yesterday and left a message - then never check the messages and never call you back, so you have to call them again and again in order to speak with them. The first time when I spoke with the receptionist, they would arrange a "consulting session", and then I said NO since (1) the insurance would not cover consulting, and I already had one consulting session with them before the root canal; (2) this is "re-treatment" or follow up, apparently the consulting is NOT needed, which can only delay the re-treatment and charge patient more. Then the receptionist(s) said they need to talk to Dr. Tracey and/or insurance and give me a call back. What happened next is: I kept calling every Tuesday (since Dr. is in office only on Tuesdays) for the past 4 Tuesdays, and every day multiple calls and left messages. They promised to give me call back yesterday, they never did even though I left them a message. This is really horrible/terrible experience. Never come back to this office again. I actually had an implant recently with an oral surgeon: only one call and one visit and they did everything within 2 hours including extraction and implant - but this is with another dental office, so great experience elsewhere, but terrible here.

Bridgewater Family Dental - I've been using this dental office for a few years. They take good care of me and my daughters. I highly recommend.
