Dr. Zotos is a dentist with experience and integrity. He is never trying to upsell you on getting procedures that you don't need. He is attentive and very knowledgeable. I can't say enough good things about him. I needed extensive work done and like most people, hate dentists. I did my research and found great reviews so decided to call and get started. Dr Zotos totally screwed up my cap!! He ground off too much tooth requiring a root canal then put defective cap on that captures food every time I eat causing lots of pain. I would not recommend him. read more

Seems like a good dentist, but was kind of a jerk. Told the nurse I was scared, he came into the room saying "Well, this isn't the best place for you if your scared, cause we don't give gas". Like, I didn't even want gas, maybe a kind word would have put me at ease... then he kept leaving the room to discuss carpeting with his decorator, SERIOUSLY. He seemed rushed and didn't treat me very well, but his staff seemed nice. I still think he is a good dentist and competent, just needs some work with his bedside manner, and maybe schedule decorating for when you don't have patients. Geez... read more

I do NOT recommend this dentist. All the employees seemed nice enough, but very distracted and uninvested in me as a patient. I definitely had the feeling that after each person walked out of my exam room, they forgot I even existed. They do seem to be way overbooked, the hygienist I saw was not even a regular employee and didn't know where anything was, so that's probably part of the issue. But that is no excuse. Do not take on more patients than you are capable of giving adequate attention to! I am an anxious patient and I need to have things explained to me in order to feel comfortable. Having people talking over me, wandering in and out without telling me what was going on, definitely made me even more anxious than I normally am. However, the biggest problem for me was that after receiving one filling, several months later I began to have pain and obvious signs of decay in that same tooth. I had no interest in visiting this office again, so I found a new dentist and it turns out that the decay is so advanced now that I need a crown and possibly a root canal. I cannot believe that that much decay occurred in less than a year, especially in a tooth that had just received a filling. I have to think that either this dentist did not remove all the decay from where the filling was, or he did not look all over the tooth to notice the other area that was damaged. Either way, it is completely careless and now I am stuck with an expensive and painful treatment that may not have been necessary if the condition had been caught last year. If you want a dentist that will pay attention and show an interest in you as a patient, as well as catch issues before they become huge problems (isn't that why we have regular checkups in the first place??), then go somewhere else! read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Zotos for just over two years. What initially impressed me about Irving Dental Group was the fact that they don't call for unnecessary treatment. When I was a kid, if you had a cavity, they filled it....if not, you went on your way. In recent years, these ludicrously "state of the art" dental offices are popping up everywhere and funding their plasma televisions and robotic hygienists by pushing thousands of dollars in "preventative" (read: waste of time and money) treatment plans and extensive, overkill procedures. Dr. Zotos prefers to impress his clientele with a tasteful collection of modern art which, in the end, is a lot easier on both the eyes and the pocketbook of his patients. Though I went several years without requiring anything but a routine cleaning, I recently developed decay in a remaining wisdom tooth. Despite being completely riddled in tattoos from a misspent and sordid youth, the thought of dental work has always sent shivers down my spine....especially the dreaded "wisdom tooth extraction." I soon encountered droves of co-workers and Yahoo! answerers the world (wide web) over who were more than willing to eagerly share/exaggerate their own experiences to the point of sheer terror on the part of me, the hapless victim. Don't even get them started on dry sockets, which they assure you will be an inevitability....even if you follow the dentist's post-op instructions to a "T." What I was expecting was a scene out of Little Shop of Horrors. The reality was this - 25 minutes total time elapsed, comprised of - paperwork, gum numbing gel, 4-6 relatively painless injections, 1 painless tooth extraction (didn't feel anything...literally), little to no post-op pain. No dry sockets and didn't so much as take an advil. Nice job Dr. Zotos and team! read more

Let me start by saying what everyone probably says about the dentist; I HATE GOING. Luckily this place is covered by my insurance and had some pretty good reviews online. After calling them I was able to set up an appointment very quickly (contrary to what my insurance said, they said I'd have to wait till March for an appointment PSH!) When I arrived I filled out the introductory paperwork and waited for about 7-10 minutes. After that a lovely assistant helped get x-rays even when I was being difficult and gagging on the equipment lol. A few minutes later Dr. Zotos came in to go over my x-rays and tell me what the (literal) damage is. **I'm going to be honest here, Dr. Zotos' voice sounds like Don Draper's off of Mad Men!!!!** That alone made my visit more pleasant lol. After discussing his findings I quickly received a cleaning and a treatment plan. | Overall the visit was pleasant and wasn't as horrible as I was expecting. I also LOVED the fact that I wasn't being sold on cosmetic things I don't need at this time. When I went to Aspen Dental last year it felt like as soon as I went to pay they were trying to upsell me. I've been going to Dr. Zotos for at least 5 years. I found him by word of mouth, several people I work with referred me to go to him as an excellent dentist. Now its my turn to tell anyone that needs dental work to go to him. The staff is friendly, professional and gentle as they do their procedures. I trust each of them for all my dental work. I will not go anywhere else! They have filled my cavities, they do all my cleanings and I just had a crown put on today, IT LOOKS GREAT and FEELS PERFECT! The office is full of interesting and original artwork, and Dr Zotos is a sort of artist also, making each of his client's mouths beautiful and pain free. I just love this dentist, mind u im a big baby when it comes to dental work. Him and his staff always make me feel comfortable. Usually I freak out when it comes to dentist, but Dr. Zotos makes me feel so calm. His staff addresses all my concerns and make the process much easier despite how difficult I can be. I would recommend him to anyone. And he never tries to talk me into expensive procedures, finding ways to get my teeth under control without taking to much out of my pockets. I highly recommend Dr. Zoto. Switching dentists can be disconcerting. On my first visit Dr. Z and his staff made me feel valued and secure. I was pleasantly surprised that Dr. Z did my cleaning himself! He does this for all new patients! He welcomed conversation with me and was not rushed. He explained everything thoroughly. I needed a filling and they got me in the next day. On both visits I waited less than 5 min to be taken back. Dr. Z is a very nice and friendly person. Plus he works at an amazing speed! Many years ago I chose Dr. Zotos because he was on my insurance and was close to my work. Don't regret the decision and have been going ever since. I like that he is stand alone and not part of some large dental practice. His office is not fancy, but is functional (no TV's to watch, but some cool mobiles spinning on the ceiling to look at!), and has been in the same place for years. He has been able to address all my dental needs never attempts to "upsell" unneeded services. While cleanings typically are scheduled months in advance, when I had an issue with my tooth that I wanted addressed quickly, I was able to be scheduled the next day. He was able to diagnose AND fix my issue the same day. And regarding having to wait to schedule a cleaning, there are always cancellations and it is easy to slot in. Billings seem fair for the services rendered. He also has a calming reassuring manner. His dental assistants have always been nice and professional. read more
