From my first visit, to the surgery and the subsequent post-op visits, I felt that I was in extremely capable and competent hands. Dr. Kaufman has a wonderfully engaging manner which made me feel very comfortable and at every visit he took the time to explain all aspects of the procedure and what I could expect afterwards. Quite honestly, it's been devastating - especially considering how hard I've been training inside and outside the gym recently. For the 24 hours prior, I was a wreck. Nevertheless, I knew I had to seek a podiatrist to do a further examination. Dr. Hagen came highly recommended. In fact, Dr. Hagen and her colleague operated on my mother's foot several years ago. Considering how much my mom has positively raved about Dr. Hagen (and trust me, my mom has massively problematic feet), I was hopeful she could also help. Here's the thing - Dr. Hagen is about an hour away from me. Nevertheless, I was determined to go. I truly believe a great doctor is worth the travel. My wife drove me to the visit, since the fracture of my right foot makes me unable to drive for the time being. After we left, we both equally felt incredibly happy with our visit. Dr. Hagen and her assistant were incredibly attentive, kind, and laser focused. Dr. Hagen gave a thorough explanation of the issues and resolution; as well as the risks of not properly managing the injury. While I certainly hope to avoid surgery in the future, I would feel comfortable in Dr. Hagen's hands.

I had a hole on the inside of my toe..Dr. Hagen kept swearing it was scar tissue. She did not seem to worry whereas her niece who works along her side was much more concerned. And Dr Hagen would say she's a cry baby...this is all insane and I'm still in pain and my toe/foot is a mess. to top it off before hand..I had to go straight from the recovery room to their office to have another xray..soooo crazy when you're not supposed to walk afterwards!! My wife who was a cancer patient developed issues with her toe nails after her chemo. At first she was nervous because she had no idea that chemo could affect your toe nails. Dr. G helped her understand what was going on and also made them look better. He explained the process of healing and what to expect. Plus like I said made them look and feel better. As for me.... I'm on my feet 10 hours a day and sadly they get abused. But Dr. G took care of my feet and I feel incredible now. My wife and I are patient's for life! I had been a patient of another local podiatrist since I consulted her about getting a new pair of…read moreprescription orthotics in the late fall of 2021. It took quite awhile for them to be made, and then reworked, because they were really uncomfortable to wear in all but 2 pairs of my shoes. By then it was mid-December -- and even then, I couldn't wear them in my warm, waterproof boots. I consulted Dr.Haber, who made me orthotics I could actually wear. After yet another adjustment on the first pair of orthotics, I don't recall that Podiatrist 1 examined my feet. Within a week, I was at Dr. Haber's office, with a big toenail so painfully ingrown it had to be surgically treated. Three weeks ago, a similar incident occurred with two toenails on the other foot; Podiatrist 1 had actually cut those nails, but improperly, and Dr. Haber rescued me once again. Since I am a Type 1 diabetic, I have to trust my podiatrist to take better care to avoid these conditions. I will be visiting Dr. Haber from now on.

By the time I needed to see a podiatrist, it was not visible. The first podiatrist did not trust that the wood was there, and I had to revisit her twice, soaking my foot in epsom salt for nearly three weeks. This did not bring the wood closer to the surface, yet she refused to take any further steps. I finally decided to seek out a second opinion, and thankfully found Dr. Herstik. Dr. Herstik believed me and dug into the location I indicated, and ultimately found the smallest sliver of wood, which completely resolved the pain. Thank you, Dr. Herstik!

I had an MRI and numerous visits to another big name podiatry practice, where all 3 podiatrists said they couldn't do anything, and my only option was to "stay off my foot". After weeks of staying off my feet with no improvement, and no more wisdom or options from the other practice, I found Dr. Marcus randomly through my insurance company. Thank god I happened to pick him! After just one consultation, he scheduled a biopsy for me. When he did the biopsy, he injected a shot of cortisone... it's been 10 days and the lump is practically gone, along with the pain!
