Dr. Millstein is an amazing doctor. He has such a great heart and a good personality. The front office girls are fun and friendly as well. Great Dr. great staff. Bonnie Shanks

I have been a patient here of Internist, Dr Jack Poles' for over a decade and see him regularly…read moreevery 2-3 months at a minimum. I can honestly testify to the efficientcy of the front office, their willingness to strive to not only be pleasing and accommodating but they are also very aware they are in the healthcare business and often dealing with people who are not feeling well, so may be low on energy, patience, or just ill feeling from chronic illness and they are not just typical office clerical workers. Their approach is kind, friendly, compasionate, helpful and the atmosphere chereful. From a decade of experience with this office I have never had a billing error, a call or message not returned promptly, communication is always great if the Dr is running late which is uncommon (and I generally take the last appointment of the day which in most offices is the worst and the one that is going to be your latest because all of your 1-3 minutes over with each patient all day builds up to running 30-40 minutes late by late in the day. But not generally here and in the few instances he has been running late it has been communicated with me which for me makes it all okay! As you are called back to the back offices you will be greeted by one of the medical assistants to the Drs. Dr Poles main assistant "Mara" has been with him for many years (like 20?) and has an extremely strong medical background and is professional, compassionate, truly caring, listens to your issues in order to convet they completely to Dr Poles. She also the gift of a great memory to be able to recall you and your history from visit to visit which makes you feel at ease and cared for. Upon meeting Dr Poles and getting to know him I quickly understood why she had stayed working for him for so long....he is just as caring as she is. He truly listens to your concerns and how you feel about your health and body and how it is functioning and then he does an old fashioned real hands on examination which is something that seems to be going out of style these days with many younger Drs cutting down on appointment time slots and relying more strictly on lab results than hands on exams and what they can see, feel and hear. He is still doing it all and not allowing political climate nor Health regulations and reforms to interfere with his ability to practice good medicine as he hAs always done. I credit him with hearing me and getting me referred to specialists when I needed them when others did not hear me and I was able to get the care which I truly needed. He understands no one knows your body like one's self so the best source of information is listening to his patients. This along with his caring, compasionate personality make him a one of a kind very special man, & Dr. I am thankful for him & would not hesitate to recommend him or any of his partners in practice to anyone because from all I know they are all winners!

To start with, the doctor (Chaung) is fantastic. This review should not be confused with being a…read morereview of the doctor. This review is of "HonorHealth Medical Group - North Phoenix - Primary Care". I would have liked to have given a "1" star review, but am giving them a "2" as credit for at least having the awareness and ability to recruit a good doctor. First, I was in the waiting room and called by name by the Medical Assistant "Lisa" for my annual wellness exam (annual physical) today (April 2, 2025). When I got up and walked to her she said to "have a seat - I'll be back - this is a woman". I told her I am not a woman. She said nothing, she turned around, closed the door and left me. She came back out and called my name again, this time saying there was a mistake. She said her information says I am in for a pap smear. I informed her the information cannot be incorrect if they use computers there as this must be her or another human's mistake. I explained how a computer works . . . tall/short, on/off, black/white, up/down, go/stop . . . there is only the information a human loads into a computer that makes a mistake, not a computer. Hearing of medical practices that amputate the wrong limbs of customers, I asked to "see" what is in their system to help correct it. Lisa would not show me, rather pivoting saying she is "sorry" she "confused me with a different patient". When we sat in the exam room, she asked me to confirm I am "still with CVS pharmacy". I explained I have never been with CVS pharmacy. Lisa apologized again, saying she "made a mistake" then stating my correct pharmacy name which I confirmed that second time. While she escorted me out of the examination room to the checkout counter she said she does not make mistakes, "It is just one of those (I guess she meant busy) days". All I could think about is I am glad I was not under anesthesia in for a limb amputation, therefore unable to catch their mistakes. Upon checking out, I scheduled my annual wellness exam (annual physical exam) for next year with the agent sitting at the counter. I advised the agent I just moved here from out-of-state and normally have my annual exam each January, so please schedule me for January of 2026. The agent said "all" insurance companies work off a twelve (12) month year, so I must accept my free annual wellness exam appointment date in the future "one (1) year, plus one (1) day" from today. Consequently, with the information this "HonorHealth Medical Group - North Phoenix - Primary Care" employee provided me, I accepted April 3, 2026, as the date of my next annual wellness examination appointment and left. Later that day I called my insurance company which I have been with for years and who laughed advising me I get an annual wellness exam each "benefit year", not each "twelve (12) month, plus one (1) day" period. So I called "HonorHealth Medical Group - North Phoenix - Primary Care" appointment line and had the exam date changed from April 3, 2026, to January 2, 2026. Employees at this facility are careless, not mindful and either do not provide by choice or are poorly trained in providing a positive customer experience. If Dr. Chaung ever decides to find a better organization to work for and she continues to accept my insurance carrier, I will follow her (leave "HonorHealth Medical Group - North Phoenix - Primary Care").

To make a long story short, here is are bullet points of what occurred: 1) Reached out to OM to ensure they accepted the new insurance plan I was considering. I was told by TWO different employees that they accepted it. 2) I used this insurance to see my doctor several times over a health concern. 3) Received a bill stating I would need to pay all out of pocket because OM didn't accept my plan. 4) Reached out to various departments at OM asking about this. After several attempts and many delays in getting someone to respond, I was finally told to speak to the office manager. 5) Office manager informed me they would look into it and see what could be done. Few weeks went by, no response. Reached out various times and finally heard back from a new office manager who told me she would look into the issue. 6) Several more weeks went by and still nothing. Left messages and emails and after about 4 months of this, was told I would need to speak to my insurance since they couldn't help me. 7) Due to the amount of time between having received the initial bill and finally being told I need to figure it out myself, I asked for them to please not send the bill to collections since I am very aware that medical offices will quickly take this route. 8) Was informed that they had already sent me to collections and there was nothing they could do about it and didn't even try to make it right by offering to refund my membership or anything else. 9) Had to pay the full bill through a collection agency which has now affect my credit all due to their staff being incompetent.
