what in the world is going on here?…read more FWIW...I tried to comment about this location on the reddit sub/planet fitness -- and my comment was deleted. Methinks the mod for that sub is a Planet Fitness manager. So anyway, at this location (and specifically 10/2/2024 at 10:30 am), a trio of beauties waltzed in the front door, ignored the front desk (where you check in; duh) and went immediately to the right to the equipment. This happens every.single.day. How do I know? Because I see it happening every.single.day. The staff at the front desk is always conveniently looking down, or at their phone, or have their backs turned. Today, the young gentleman (not Shawn, the on-site manager) looked them squarely in the eyes...and ignored them. what is the deal? are they members, and just choose to ignore the rules? Or do they just sneak in to work out, knowing no on will stop them. Management, fix this! It happens regularly! #2 -- could you please enforce the "don't bring your baggage onto the floor with you" rule? There are literally piles of hand luggage clogging the ailses, and the staff does nothing. Too cheap to buy $3 lock. The staff never confronts a rules breaker EVER. Is this a mandate from corporate? Don't piss off the membership? Wait -- I thought this location was independently owned and operated. So what's the deal here? the $10/month trash people are ruining it for the rest of us. do better

I have been a member here for about a year and a half now. I do have to say I absolutely love this…read morefacility and the equipment it has. It has a lot of space and is very clean. My reason for removing a star, hopefully temporarily, is due to the following: 1) the benches that are the "original benches" have started being replaced with the most horrific benches I've sat on. I'm talking hard as a rock, not as supportive, and they are just too high off the ground so individuals who aren't super tall are sitting improperly with feet not as firmly on the ground. You also cannot hip thrusts using the new benches due to the height without having to toss 45 lb plates under your feet which is a workout in itself for some of us to maneuver things around. I shouldn't have to do this. The original benches are the best benches I've ever seen in a gym and I really wish they would keep getting those benches. Every member I've spoken to talks about this and how we all fight for the original good benches and will literally leave the new ones vacant while we wait for the old benches. This causes more wait time in lifting which is the reason I left my old gym. 2) the barbells, smith machines, and any metal part that requires sliding a plate onto are not oiled and sanded down the proper amount. Sometimes getting a plate on is a struggle in itself. I am not alone in this either as I have talked about this with other members who have been going here nearly since they opened. It is frustrating to have to force a plate on and struggle with it. The plates should glide on with ease, but this requires proper maintenance of the metal rods where plates go on (sanding and oil). Please add this onto the maintenance schedule as we do pay maintenance fees and this should be included. 3) Lack of a proper ab bench. The one we have here, which one is not enough firstly, is ok but for those of us who need a deep decline this just doesn't cut it. The foot placement on this also works your quads so much it's hard to properly focus on your abdominal muscles. Many members get a better ab workout on the decline bench meant for chest. Adding a nice deep decline adjustable ab sit-up bench that is sturdy would TREMENDOUSLY transform this gym. I feel this one is a small ask. There are even some on Amazon that aren't too bad. These are my current main concerns and I am hopeful that sharing this can allow management and Kevin to understand a few things that can make this gym so much greater! I do love it here and I've had such great workouts. However, the above are issues I do not expect a gym of this size and quality to have. Again, many compliments are to be said of this wonderful facility, but I am hoping we can work on the above. Many members would be very thankful!

Nice gym but overkill with rap & hip hop music. I'm tired of constantly hearing the sexual wording,…read morefoul language, yelling & very noisy, so called music. I cannot relax at the gym listening to this the entire time there. I thought this was a family gym; the music doesn't match. How about variety - oldies, gospel, quieter music, etc. Many people have their ears plugged up; I don't. It is so loud in the women's locker room. There are two TVs in the locker room that are never on. How about turning down the music or turning it off totally & turn on the TVs. If what's coming out of the speakers doesn't change, I will write more reviews & then eventually switch gyms. People may not speak up about the music & just cancel their membership. Please consider changing the music to satisfy all your members not just some.

I started when I was in the best shape of my life, I went when I was "shredding for the wedding", and now I am a new mom working on my postpartum fitness goals. John, the owner gives great advice not only about fitness but nutrition too. He has even written a few books! The class sizes are small and allow for a lot of one-on-one attention. All of the members are extremely friendly and welcoming to anyone new. I also love that John creates specific workouts for each class. I never have to think about what I'm going to train that day, and if you go regularly you'll be able to incorporate both HIIT cardio and strength training. John's wife, Samantha teaches yoga once a week and it is the best yoga class I've ever taken! You will feel so stretched out and relaxed after taking her class. If you're looking to switch up your fitness routine and get in shape I highly recommend trying metabolic!

If you're looking for a variety and a great support system this is the gym for you. Coach John and…read morecoach Sam provide much support and guidance for your goals. I appreciate the nutrition aspect of the gym as well. The different varieties of classes always makes the work outs fly by. There are three different types of classes offered multiple times throughout the week; TNT, muscle and hustle, and meltdown. Each class has a 3-week progression to help build strength and endurance. TNT is strength training with six exercises total; three for the upper body, and three for the lower body. I have gotten so strong taking this class. Muscle and hustle is a mix of strength training and cardio. And meltdown is an hour of straight up cardio. If you're not breaking a sweat after this class then you're doing it wrong! At various times there's also different pop-up classes. The newest class on the block is pump. It has the same structure as meltdown but also using lightweights. There is also a class just dedicated to abs, call deck of core. There are many members that are at many different levels. But we all support one another. I've never met such a great group of supportive people as I have here.
