Projects (individual and team) were presented that ranged from determining if styrofoam was a better insulator than plastic to collecting data for various types of drinking water to determine chloride levels and so any more. These students have probably forgotten more chemistry and geology than I ever knew. The faculty prepares them with various science and engineering classes. Some of the students are naturals, some need a little help. They are so enthusiastic about their studies. It gives me hope for the future of the advancement of science in the US. These kids are really something. The principal Jay Sumpter and his staff and faculty are at the top of their game in the way they help and nurture these students. read more
