You can double the entry fee and people will still come if the rides are operational. Unfortunately if these don't get fixed, I fear this place may shut down eventually. On our way there we passed by several homeless people and potheads which I thought wasn't a safe environment for children to play around. We also saw several piles of glass on the bridge next to the park. The actual park was dirty and had leaves and insects everywhere. There were two playgrounds across from each other with a few benches. They were quite small and lame and the padding underneath the wood chips was sticking up. There is also a giant facility next to the park with large trucks carrying metal beams.

I met a co-worker and her family here today to watch her son's little league game. It's the first…read moretime I've been to a little league game in Clayton, and my first time at this park. I spent a little bit of time on the playground with her daughter in between her son's innings at-bat. There are a few fields here and they all had games taking place while we were there. A private parking lot at the top of the hill has lots of parking, and there are also spots on the side of the road leading up the hill, and near the park at the bottom when you turn onto Regency Drive from Marsh Creek. The fields were nice and in good condition. The playground was also really neat, and had a play area for 2-5 year olds separate from the one for children a little bit older (who can play unassisted). There are several tables and shaded areas, and also paths that lead to the open space. I used the women's restroom and sadly a small, injured bird lay writhing in pain and flopping around one of the stalls. I didn't even know what to do about this, except go home sad, with a heavy heart for this hurting animal. As we drove away, (I swear this happened), like a scene from the nature channel, a hawk swooped down and grabbed a different bird, and it screeched in fear and pain, fought the hawk, but was eventually carried off for dinner. It made me want to bring the other bird out of the stall where it was dying and let nature "take it's course" but I drove off instead, not being able to bring myself to pull the scared creature outside it's concrete tomb. Aside from the uniquely sad scene I witnessed in the bathroom, this is a really cool community park.
