The physicians are board certified in medical oncology and hematology. They are located in the Axelrod Pavilion on the campus of Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater. Setting up the appointment was very easy and everyone that I spoke with was really nice. I had a Telehealth call with Dr. Gadiyaram. My primary care doctor had sent over all of my paperwork so the doctor could have a chance to review it before our call. The call started right on time and Dr. Gadiyaram was very nice and extremely knowledgeable. I know that most people would never need to see a hematologist or even know what one is but when you need one...you need one! I can definitely recommend Dr. Gadiyaram and her BayCare Group.

My appointment was scheduled well in advance for 11/07/24 @ 11:00 a.m.. After arriving 15 mins prior to my appointment, I was taken back to the exam room. 11:00 a.m. came and went. I sat there for 40 minutes and no physician or other staff checked on me, or to say things were running behind. I got up, went to the door, and a nurse practitioner was walking by, she asked "do you need anything?", I said I am here to see the physician, but I think they forgot me. She walked past me and went into another exam room without saying anything else, The MA overheard the conversations, came over and said, oh, you are next. I waited another 20 minutes, and told the person behind the check out desk that I was leaving as I had already spent an hour here, and I had other appointments. This experience was unprofessional, and not pleasant. I did not feel valued as a patient, and although Dr Ramos may of had a reason for missing my appointment, there is no excuse for leaving a patient alone in an exam room for an hour with no updates. I asked for him to acknowledge the missed appointment and it went unanswered. I guess his ego will not allow him to admit how lame it is to do this to a patient. I would also hope that Baycare does not bill Medicare or my supplemental for this encounter that never happened. I would not recommend this physician to anyone who does not have a lot of time on their hands to sit in a waiting room or exam room for a long time.

She had been undergoing chemotherapy for over a year in Citrus County and her Dr decided to take her off the chemo. We were looking for another opinion and decided to bring her to Clearwater to be evaluated by dr. Ziegler. From the onset he was very unapproachable and condescending. We had done our research regarding his abilities and after meeting with him two times we were disappointed as we expected more Humane and civil treatment. We needed to have a doctor within the network so we stayed with him. She did not have a regular doctor here in this area so she relied on dr. Ziegler for prescriptions and what not. He was very reluctant and came across as arrogant and uncaring. As time progressed she made frequent trips to the hospital emergency room and would stay for a few days. At their suggestion they would run a lot of tests. Dr. Ziegler would be called ,come into the room and ask her why she's having all these tests. Like it was her idea. My wife and her mother were upset on more than one occasion. I saw him show compassion one time when my wife and mother-in-law we're both crying he said I love your mother. He might be a good doctor and hopefully he saves a lot of people. I believe people need better treatment a smile vote of confidence ,an acknowledgement that they matter. We did not experience this mostly.. my mother-in-law passed away April 4th 2017. She was a kind gentle and caring woman. We never heard any condolences from dr. Ziegler as we did from the hospital and other nurses and Healthcare professionals who had come in contact with this beautiful woman. Should I have problems in this area I will look for another doctor. God bless you. Thanks.
