He does not take insurance, so it is costly. But for me, so worth it. Dr. Cradic's adjustments are exceptionally good. He is unusually strong, incredibly fast, and very precise. Parts of my spine, especially in the upper spine between my shoulder blades, often would get stuck and resistant to moving. Dr. Cradic reliably gets them moving, with adjustments that are incredibly fast. Dr. Cradic also used a couple of adjustments that were extremely effective, but I had never seen before. This includes an adjustment of the shoulders that has done wonders for my pain and ability to work out intensively. In addition to adjusting my spine, Dr. Cradic has also helped with my wrists and even an issue I was having with my feet. He mentioned that his chiropractic expertise is actually enhanced by additional training in osteopathy. This, combined with skill and experience, may help explain why his adjustments are so phenomenal. The appointments begin with a combination of heat and electrical stimulation to relax the muscles, followed by a roller table. Sometimes, the roller table comes first, followed by heat/stim. After that, he does the adjustments, along with any soft tissue work that is needed. For example, in my case, he often uses a massage gun on my shoulders and rotator cuff, which I have found quite helpful. The hygiene is also good. For example, each person has a set of pads used for the electrical stimulation assigned to them. You get your own pads, rather than sharing pads. Equipment, tables, etc. are wiped down after each use. One concern I had was parking. That part of Silver Spring can be tricky to park in. However, there is a parking garage right across the street with plenty of room. I have never had any difficulty parking. There is also some limited street parking, but with the garage right there, I have never bothered with it.

My kids like him as well. Kathryn is an office gem. Her knowledge of the body and how to get at various muscles to stretch them is amazing. I always enjoy working with her and find I learn something new every time. Chiros like any other body worker have their own unique touch. Dr. D is muscular, with an athletic build, but a gentle touch. His set up is very accurate for me and it takes little force by him to move things where they need to go, where I have had others unable to do so. He is on the quiet side but knows a lot about the body and how to treat it, beyond chiropractic.

Dr. Pollack and the rest of Proactive Chiropractic have JUST reopened up their office and pretty much as soon as I saw the email, I went to book through their *announcer voice* convenient online booking system! That's right Johnny. But for real, they are taking all of the precautions and more that you expect people who care to take. There is only one doctor on at a time, there is only one patient in the office at a time. There is one front desk associate to help you. Both the doctor and the front desk are wearing masks. There is one chair in the waiting room. As soon as you enter the office you're instructed to wash your hands. There is a sign that says please wash your hands before and after you see the doctor. The adjustment apparatus and rolly thing (technical term) is disinfected after every patient. You must wear a mask during the visit. I mean... I don't know how they could get ANY safer. And it makes me feel 100 percent comfortable visiting the office and getting my adjustment, which I was in dire need of. Dr. Pollack is as wonderful as ever. The front desk associate was as nice as a person could be. That's one of the many reasons why when anyone in my vicinity (which unfortunately hasn't been a lot of people as of recent), but if ANYONE says "My back hurts." My first and most immediate response is, "You should see my chiropractor. I have a great chiropractor, he's right off 7 locks." He is the most effective PT I have ever seen -- and the results came quicker and lasted longer under his good care and guidance than anywhere else I've been. He's one of those rare people that has found their true calling and ability, and it is evident in the people he has healed and helped to heal ourselves (if we do the exercises!). I was in a car accident and saw several PTs, chiropractors, etc that provided temporary relief, but nothing beyond a week or two. Dr Issa was recommended to me by a family friend who is a top doctor in another state. At first I wasn't sure -- only because he was a 35min drive from my office and wasn't "in network." And I've gone to many chiropractors over the years, in multiple states. The ONLY one that's been able to help me and take care of the actual cause of my pain has been Dr. Alterman. Unlike the other chiropractors I've been to, Dr. Alterman doesn't just offer a band-aid solution. She works with you to get to the root of the issue and therefore eliminate it. It's not an easy fix - do not expect to just go one time and *poof* have everything all better instantly like magic. If you want someone to lie to you and tell you they can fix you in one visit, go waste your money elsewhere (and I do mean "waste"). But if you are actually committed to getting better, go straight to ChiroAid! As an added bonus, she also does Reiki and CranioSacral Therapy. I've tried both and they are AWESOME! The Surg Center staff kept saying it had been sent to CVS although it had not; I had to spend an entire afternoon after my surgery pursuing the issue. HOWEVER, staff at Metro Orthopedics (MOST) were extremely helpful (even though the issue was not theirs; the mistake came from the Surg Center). Both the MOST front desk and the surgery coordinator Dorinda were very supportive. Dorinda had to spend a lot of time on the phone to get my issue resolved and finally made sure that CVS received the prescription. From this experience, and also from previous interactions, I give 5/5 starts to MOST staff.
