The drug reps also seem to like him, as he's got a sample of everything...great when you're trying different drugs trying to find a good combination to fix you. Downside (or maybe an upside, I guess) is that his billing people are forever slow. Four months after my first appointment, they had never billed me for what was left after insurance. I finally asked about it and they printed me a statement. I guess he doesn't really need the money. :-p. I just don't like having a pile of medical bills...who knows if they'll just forget to bill me one day and turn it over to collections since it's so old.

It sucks because Dr. Kuronya is an amazing doctor and so people oriented, it looks like the three office girls are giving the place a bad name. The last three times they have charged me 3 different co-pays and you get a bill 2 weeks later because they screwed it up but they insist they didn't. Way to ruin a great, honest doctors practice.

While I appreciate his willingness to conduct thorough testing, my overall experience was far from satisfactory. During my visit, I received an overwhelming number of supplement recommendations--over a million it seemed. It is stipulated in any search that an over whelming amount of supplements is NOT GOOD ! I do get because he is a nurse Practitioner he is limited to the amount of money he could make therefore all these supplements recommendations definitely supplement his income. Example: The 1st prescription was Plaque X specific to the high Calcium score which is what I originally went there for, which turned out to be an astonishing $7,000. Unfortunately, after following his protocol and undergoing another calcium score test, my results worsened instead of improving. He recommended a bowl test for stomach health which actually was $200 and he charged me $800. In supplements alone I spent about $700. Additionally, when I mentioned wanting to lose weight and discussed with him about taking some type of Semi glutted which is like Ozempic he decided to prescribe thyroid medication without a comprehensive evaluation. He felt my thyroid was low but it has always been low most of the time. This decision proved problematic; the medication caused severe spikes in my blood pressure & heart rate to go sky rocket that required hospitalization. Thankfully, once I stopped taking it, my condition returned to normal. While I believe he had good intentions in trying to help me achieve better health outcomes, the approach felt haphazard and overwhelming. Furthermore, the staff at his office not only lacked professionalism but also demonstrated a noticeable lack of empathy--especially his wife. Its all about money with the wife. Garcia would want to talk about something and she would come in and almost drag him out. Never mine Sunshine at the front desk. She always looks like she has a chip on her shoulder. In conclusion, while Magdiel Garcia may have valuable knowledge and intentions to assist patients like myself, it's crucial for him to adopt a more measured and patient-centered approach. Like at so many medical practices the office staff can really be a make or break for wanting come back and the office staff at the Walbert Avenue location is truly inept. Due to scheduling issues I had to see a different doctor for the procedure & follow up visits than I saw for the initial consultation. All fine except that doctor does not accept my insurance. Every other doctor in their practice does and I was even told he accepted it but when the EOB came I got a "little surprise". A different person at the Walbert Avenue location also scheduled me at another one of their locations for a follow up visit and at NO TIME was that ever conveyed to me. Imagine my surprise showing up at Walbert Avenue, sitting for fifteen minutes then being told that my appointment was made with the same doctor, at another office location and I was now late for that appointment. The office manager at the other location was apologetic but said that "things like this happen alot from the Walbert staff especially the Saturday staff". Good to know. Hopefully I have no need to ever go back but if I do I will do my best to aviod the Walbert Avenue location as in general terms the office staff, sucks.

I ask for help..... "we don't do that, you need to call your insurance company" You also sign a form that basically says if they bill wrong you pay. Unfortunately I need to visit the doctor 2 or 3 times per year and this is important to me.
