Paul is an absolute gem of a lawyer. This was my first experience hiring and working with a lawyer,…read moreand I can't say enough good things about him and his work. He is extremely fair, honest, and professional which is a lot when compared to some other people in this field. I had reached out to many lawyers about my landlord issue, and I was dismissed. Paul listened to my case and the details I had, and was able to settle the case in my favor. He is VERY communicative, and quick to respond to any emails. I don't know how he does it! If you need a lawyer you can trust, go to Paul! I look forward to working with him again in the future.

UPDATE: this attorney emailed me multiple times to complain about this review, a responsiveness…read morenotably absent when he was being paid to represent me on an urgent matter. I offered to change the review if he could demonstrate that any aspect of it was not factually accurate. He responded only with petty attempts at insults. I am legally disabled and was forced out of my sublet when the primary tenants entered illegally and claimed to be my roommates on July 6. I was referred to this attorney through ARAG legal insurance. On July 9 at 1:41PM this lawyer informed me via email "The only choice you have is to start an emergency action for illegal access" and agreed to be paid by ARAG to file this on my behalf. He informed me that he would not be able to file until early the following week. That was the last time he took a call from me. That evening I tried to retrieve belongings and the primary tenant tried to have me arrested. I called my lawyer frantic. He never acknowledged the call. I did not receive a draft until July 15, It had multiple omissions including failing to include any exhibits. He told me to make suggested edits but did not provide a document in editable format. I finally generated a Word doc with my suggested edits and asked if any were relevant. His only response was to demand payment for the process server and filing fee without instructions on how to submit payment which I did not receive until July 17. He suggested that I simply enter the apartment to retrieve the belongings, ignoring 1. the police instruction not to try to enter without a police escort and 2. that I am disabled and cannot move belongings without assistance.I asked him what I needed to do to get him to file the document in Court - now 11 days after I was forced out - and he withdrew, telling me to file myself ignoring, again , I AM LEGALLY PHYSICALLY DISABLED and sent me his wholly inadequate OSC draft which did not even have the the defendant's name spelled correctly. He had the option to decline the job on July 9. Instead he strung me along, knowing that I did not have access to Rx medication and other disability aids, for over a week before abandoning my case. I am now locked out, without my medication and other belongings, and have no help with Court. Shameful, unethical, and just cruel conduct

The fact that one of my grandparents died in Iran, with which Israel has no touch, more than 22 years ago only made matters worse. Rahav was able to expertly lead me through each stage of the procedure, from beginning to end, despite the case's complexity. He was incredibly responsive and professional, making sure I was informed of every step and that all of my queries were swiftly addressed. He was always willing to talk with me and clarify any murky aspects of the matter. Given the complexity of the situation, Rahav had to go through a lot of hoops during the entire procedure to meet the demands of the bank. Notwithstanding these difficulties, he maintained his composure, dedication, and commitment to making sure that my matter was settled as swiftly and effectively as feasible. I appreciate everything!

Rahav is not professional! He blamed and yelled at me after causing long delays in my probate case…read moredue to his own mistakes in entering people's ID numbers on forms and said an apostille was not needed where it was in fact required to proceed with my probate case. He had me sign documents that had other clients' names on them, instructing me to change them to my own name, which I believe breaches clients' confidentiality. He tried and failed to charge me an extra $5K for helping to transfer my deceased mother's bank funds to me, a fee which was never part of our signed agreement. He withheld wages from his own courier for $5K for services rendered because Rahav falsely claimed he was entitled to a referral fee for providing the courier with the work for me in handling my mother's possessions, for which I paid the courier directly. Rahav also ordered me to send him signed documents urgently via FedEx for $38 when a simple USPS mailing would have cost $1 and arrived in a timely manner. After I fired Rahav, he tried and failed to sue me for the money we agreed I would pay him IF HE sold my mother's apartment, which he never sold at all. He even tried to put a lien on the property, and refused to return my mother's financial documents that I let him borrow for property research purposes, while still demanding money he didn't earn from me. I had to hire another attorney to sell the apartment and countersue Rahav for negligence. He frivolously dragged this petty lawsuit out for two more years, lied to our judge about the mistakes he made, presented sloppily compiled "evidence" that clearly failed to support his case, and we both wasted time and lost money over his futile attempts against me in the end. His litigation and communication skills are subpar and didn't match his polished website, which is misleading. He also sues and/or gets sued by many of his other clients whose cases he handles, according to his colleagues. DO NOT HIRE RAHAV AHARONI! Edit: Hours after this review was posted, Rahav threatened me with another unwinnable lawsuit, this time for "slander," which he should know is the incorrect legal term in this case. Attached are the most recent emails between us as evidence of both lawsuit threats, and I possess all the text and email evidence and court records plus witnesses to prove the veracity of every detail written here. In the public interest, I will keep this post updated as the story develops.

I went into my situation expecting the usual lawyer experience where you explain everything twice…read moreand still leave wondering what happens next. That wasn't the case here. The attorney I worked with actually listened, answered my questions, and explained the process in a way I could follow. I also appreciated how quickly my calls and emails were answered. There was never a feeling that I was being passed around or forgotten. I felt like they were actually paying attention to my case, and that made a stressful situation a lot easier to deal with.

** Tully Rinckey's response to my reviews is disingenuous. We already addressed this matter…read moredirectly with the firm. The only options presented were to continue paying them to correct mistakes in their work--despite their already having the necessary information and documentation--or to close the matter and receive only the unused portion of the retainer. They had the opportunity to resolve this privately and chose not to. * My experience with Carol Crossett at Tully Rinckey was extremely disappointing and counterproductive. My 88 year old Mother and I retained the firm for a serious matter involving breach of contract, fraud, discrimination, and retaliation under NY Real Property Law § 223-b. Despite having all the necessary information, documentation, and a detailed timeline laid out directly in front of her, the draft demand letter I received was fundamentally flawed.  The work product contained significant, avoidable errors: it was addressed to an employee who no longer worked for the organization, failed to direct the demand to the correct corporate decision-makers, included factually inaccurate information, and omitted critical claims. Rather than producing the strong legal demand we retained the firm to prepare, the draft read more like an invite to a kid's roller skating party than a serious legal document. The worst part about this is the firm expected us to spend more of our money to correct the mistakes that occurred because the firm failed to review the materials they already possessed.  My interactions with Carol Crossett were dismissive and condescending. She refused to consider reasonable requests for property management reassignment--incorrectly labeling such a request as tortious interference--and minimized our concerns regarding accessibility, safety, and my mother's well-being with comments such as "this is not a nursing home".  Carol Crossett's legal analysis was also deeply concerning and disconnected from the reality of our living situation in Latham, New York. She incorrectly asserted that the parking lot was not a common area and suggested that sidewalk maintenance was the responsibility of the individual residents whose apartments they front, rather than the landlord. Incorrect. Ultimately, I did not receive the courteous consideration and/or the zealous advocacy we were promised. The firm's failure to properly review provided materials and their insistence on billing for a defective work product only added to an already stressful situation. We were left with an unusable draft and nearly depleted retainer. I cannot recommend Carol Crossett or Tully Rinckey. Run.
