After the Novocain wore off I took 2 advil and that was all the pain relief I needed. By evening everything felt great. On top of all of this... the pricing is great! As a son of a dentist who did dentristy for over 50 years the first appointment went well and even he was pleased with the dentist but it seems that they have gone downhill for whatever reason. If you schedule someoen for a time and you are running late perhaps tell them rather than make them just sit there. I will have to go find another dentist which won't be an issue but dont' ask people to come in earlier and after they make it clear they need to be done at a certain time which you understood you don't let them sit around. they followed up to my other review and claimed someone had an emergency, but that was not the case because I was there to see the hygienist not the dentist and that's in two separate rooms. There were two people when I came in and checked in no one told me about anything so it doesn't add up unfortunately, my opinion it's become very money orientated dentistry where Money comes before patients, which is what most of the corporate dentistry places like Aspen are about. it's sad because I thought I had found a good old-fashioned dentist who cared about patients. For reference I had 4 teeth on the left side of my mouth that was all fillings, then crowned and then root canaled, then 2 were implants and then one was losing bone (canine) and no one could figure it out. I was temporarily living in Delray and went to Spodak for a cleaning. It was super modern and had every speciality under one roof. (I can't find that anywhere else.) You want a dentist that is comprehensive even if you want cosmetic too. Anyone can do cosmetic. You need someone who cares about how your teeth function. Functionality is the key to dental health. Dr Spodak came in (the patriarch) he was very warm and comforting. Terrific bedside manner and he said to me.. "you don't have bad teeth, you probably do your dental work all at once and they offer to do the left side and then the right side" I nodded and finally felt seen for the first time in a dental chair. While wide eyed I managed to say "uh huh" he said "well they ended all that work on your right side, filed it up so much so your bite is off and of course you lost your left side. If you start with me today I can save your teeth. If you don't you will lose the other side. I didn't have the money at that point. I asked can I just get a bite guard. He said no that won't work. (This is how much integrity they have, knowing it was all I could afford they didn't try to bring me in and make me pay $500 for something that wasn't going to work. In all my years, I haven't found a dentist like that) I ended up moving to Arizona and when I did have the money, I could not find one dentist who could help me or listen to me. They all offered bite guards and acted like I didn't brush or floss my teeth enough. I am not joking I have seen everyone in this state and it doesn't matter how much I brush and floss it is my bite. Dr. Spodak wanted to truly save my teeth out of 43 dentists. I've seen he was the only one to offer suggestions on how to save them. Unfortunately other dentists don't want to prevent they only want to fix. If I could go back I would have stayed in Delray and kept going to Dr Spodak. I don't know if he is still practicing but I am seriously thinking of flying out there just for a visit.

Dr. Nezz learned that I had a major trip coming up and personally reached out via text just two days after my appointment to make sure everything was healing properly and that I was completely comfortable before I left. My appointment was right on time and my dental hygienist, Marnie, was an absolute darling. She did an awesome job not only cleaning my teeth but keeping me engaged in the conversation that I didn't even realize we had finished. I made another appointment with Marnie for deep cleaning. I also made appointments with Dr. Michael Rodriguez and that also went smoothly. He was very thorough in his explanation of treatment and very light handed when working in my hand. I didn't even feel the needle to get numb. The dynamic between him and his assistant was seamless - they work great together. I just moved to a new area and came across this dr on my list of participating dentist and I must admit I was a bit skeptical because he looks so young, but I was met with professionalism, courtesy, and knowledge. The dental work itself was fine. Dr. Tremaine is good at what she does. Marnie, the hygienist is the reason I have been a patient, as she is great! My frustration is with the administrative side of things. It has been terrible since Amy left last year. The new people have provided me wrong copayment information, have not done what they said they would do and told me my refund was being mailed, when it has not been. Xavia is not easy to deal with, has a condescending attitude with patients and actually had the audacity to tell me that "that is why he is the owner", when 3 weeks ago I indicated it is not fair for patients to be made to wait for responses regarding over payments because the owner/dentist only works one day a week. Not an appropriate response, in my opinion. Given I have had to chase refunds from this office twice now, I will not be paying for services upfront. Will wait for EOB to do so; and if not able to, then I guess I will be looking for a new dentist. I have left messages asking for either the owner or my treating dentist to call me, and nothing. I guess they are not interested in knowing what their patients are going through. This has really left a bad taste in my mouth. Would have never happened with Amy. Good employees are truly hard to find.
