These guys worked their butts off from the minute they arrived until it was time to go home. I never saw them take a extended break and never heard them complain once about anything even though it was hot sweaty weather all 3 continuous days. I expected them at 8 AM, but they even arrived at 7:45 and started. Ask for this Crew as they were responsible for the success of the project. We had our Crawl Space encapsulated exactly as planned, on-time, and for the exact amount that we had contracted for. The crew showed -up right on time and went directly to crawl space and had removed all existing insulation from joists and cleaned crawl space within the first few hours. A truck and trailer arrived at the completion of that effort and removed all the debris. During this initial hour, the Salesman Chris, and Nolan, the Field Supervisor arrived to see how things were going and to touch base with the crew and to see if I had any concerns or questions. All aspects of the installation went smoothly as planned. The existing crawl space sand was leveled, drainage matting was installed and covered with 20 mil vapor barrier as were the walls and support columns with tape completing the vapor-proof seal. Two Aprilaire Dehumidifiers with condensate pumps completed the system. The Electrical aspects to power the dehumidifiers and condensate pumps were installed by a subcontractor they use who was a very personable gentleman named Sam who was great and conscientious about doing a good job.

After having a mason re-point the…read morebricks that had separated, before foundation repairs, settling cracks formed in DIFFERENT bricks, indicating further settling. I had a representative come out to inspect and he misread the laser level, which clearly showed .5 to 1 inch of NEW settling. I had a supervisor return with a workman and he confirmed the additional settling. They "repaired" the issue. After the "repair" an adjacent exterior door was racked to the point it could not open. Upon informing VFS, their reply was, basically, "not their problem". After having 2 companies inspect the door and decline to even bid on the job, I found a company to REPLACE the door and jam for nearly $10k. This door had been replaced after VFS's initial work. Today, the same door is racked again and nearly impossible to open and close. I'm awaiting their repairman to correct it. Beware, after VFS "repairs" your foundation, you may need to replace exterior doors multiple times!

The first time I tried to set up an appointment with the man who arranges their calendar was not successful. The way I understand it is there is one person who arranges the appointments and 2 people who assess the home. The engineers were driving around my neighborhood on the wrong day because the man (who I will not name) couldn't keep their appointment calendar straight. Then when it came time for them to come after a reschedule, no one called me to confirm or tell me that the engineers would be late. I would recommend hiring someone who has experience with scheduling. The communication that transpired has steered me in another direction to work with another firm.

They installed jacks, beams and sistered cracked joist. they also let us know that part of the problem was the high humidity in our Crawlspace so they encapsulated the entire Crawlspace and installed two dehumidifiers. They did great follow up and after a lot of work seem to have stopped the problems from getting worse, which is all we could ask. Every crew they sent was incredible - professional, friendly, hard working and efficient. All the crew leaders let us know exactly what they were doing and Adian even found and fixed issues with our HVAC ducts and registers that we didn't know about. it took a long time and, to be honest, was not cheap, but Bay does great work and follow up. we would use them again.
