I called Joh Davis Florist at the last minute to order flowers for my daughter's graduation party. They were helpful and accommodating. I really did not expect much when I ordered 5 small flower arrangements. The flowers were delivered on time the following day, and they were the most beautiful arrangements that I have ever seen! I cannot brag enough on the gorgeous arrangements! Absolutley stunning! I highly recommend this florist!! The price of the arrangements was very affordable. I received more for my money than I actually paid! Thank you so much John Davis Florist! Michele Royal Richmond Hill, GA read more

This is such an adorable little flower shop. We were quickly greeted by Rocky the cutest dog ever and then the lady at the front desk was super helpful and taught us about some flowers I had never seen before. She introduced us to the florists and everybody was super nice and helpful. I will be go in this place my money next time I'm in need of flowers. read more

The arrangement was artistic and exquisite. The quality of the flowers was poor. There were several with (very thin) brown edges when they were picked up from the shop. (My husband picked them up at the shop and I was standing outside.) Something that looked like delphinium had a broken stem. The very next day all 3 of the roses had the heads drooping from the stems. The hydrangea was completely wrinkled. (As an avid gardener I know it's necessary to actually crush the stems of hydrangea to get them to absorb water. The flowers will hold their shape until they are dry.) After 4 days, even the bird of paradise was wilted. After less than a week (6 days) I am left with a stem of white orchid and some lilies that have not yet opened. Again, the artistry is beautiful. This florist is either using a bad supplier or does not know proper handling of flowers. I wish my husband had picked up a bunch from Kroger. While not as dramatic, at least I can enjoy them for more than a day. read more

Based on a friend's recommendation, I recently used John Davis Florist to send flowers for my uncle's funeral. All of their arrangements are custom made and few samples of their work are on their website. I placed the order over the phone with Sue, who was extremely helpful. Their arrangement was truly unique and very beautiful. I highly recommend their services. read more

Every Valentine's Day, same deal. Despite my best intentions, I never remember to arrange for flowers prior to the big day. Every year, I roll into John Davis Florist around 9am on their busiest day of the year- and every year I am met with kindness and understanding. Better yet, I always leave with flowers for my wife (and mother-in-law) that blow my mind. This year my wife loved the tulips and hydrangeas that accompanied the roses. Terrific job this year- as always. John B. Savannah, GA read more

This place is wonderful, I doubt my review will give it enough credit. I came in yesterday and the owner (I believe) greeted my friends and I. She was extremely personable and welcoming in all aspects of the encounter. We met the shop dog, Rocky, who made my entire day I'm sure. He was beyond friendly and just wanted to love everyone but wasn't hyper in the least! He was very calm and easy going. If you wanted to pet him he was good for it and if you wanted to ignore him that was ok with him too. The flower selection was sparse but she did say they get shipments on Monday. She was more than happy to give us a tour of the entire building included the back where the employees work. Next time I need an arrangement I will 100% be supporting this local business in Savannah. read more

I was fortunate enough to stumble on this wonderful florist after a horrible mis-adventure with the 1-800 people. John Davis Florist created the centerpieces for a recent very large event that we hosted at the Hyatt on Bay Street in Savannah. His team was not only professional and courteous, but their follow up actually saved the day!! They called to confirm a delivery time and also to verify the number of centerpieces we needed a few hours prior to their scheduled delivery. Our group size had grown and we'd forgotten to call them to increase our order. Thankfully, John and his team were our guardian angels, increased the order, and the flowers were spectacular. I would highly recommend John Davis Florist to any one needing flowers/floral arrangements in the Savannah area. read more

Best florist around!!! They did an AMAZING job with the flowers for our wedding!! I was beyond happy! Thanks again for everything!

we ordered many flower arrangements for my mothers funeral from here. we had one special request that the casket blanket be all white flowers. How hard can that be ? Well we didn't get all white flowers. The whole arrangement may have had 4-5 white flowers. We paid $400 for it. When my family members and I tried to contact the owner to work on resolving their mistake, John accused us of not complaining to him about it soon enough. The flowers were delivered on Weds evening. My family arrives at the funeral home that evening but were too distraught to notice. I am from out of town and didn't get there until Thursday evening They were closed by then. We call in the mistake on Friday and a staff member comes out to add a few more white flowers to the blanket. But we still did not get our "ALL WHITE" blanket that we paid $400 for. He admits the flowers were done wrong but refuses to give any sort of refund/discount claiming we should have called him sooner. He screws up and its our fault ? read more
