So in order to have everything ready, I went and made an appointment for both my 1 yo and my 3 yo. At first I was worried about how both were going to take it and how the staff and dr were going to react. Well let me tell you, my daughter freaked out as soon as the lady tried to check for cavities and any other stuff. My daughter cried and refused to show her her teeth, but to my surprise, the lady was SUPER NICE and PATIENT. She then went ahead and let my daughter hold the mouth mirror. Eventually gaining her trust and finally allowing my daughter show her her teeth. On the other hand, my son, since he is much smaller just did not help at all but with him they told me it was ok, that they'll just check back in a couple months. At the end they went back to my daughter and asked for her permission to put the dental Nelly which at first she didn't want but eventually allowed them to put. When we were leaving they gave both my kids a toy, which is a really nice gesture because not everyone does that and honestly it is not their job to do it, but it really is nice of them to do.
