Searching for a dentist and came across this place…read more You know the saying beggers can't be choosers, I agree but at the same time beggers are people and should still be respected. I was able to make an appointment rather quickly, within a week. The lady on the phone seemed a little short and annoyed. Didn't bother me, I was just happy to get in.... This turned out to be a very unpleasant experience. Arrived and the front desk woman was not at all friendly or welcoming. That is definitely not a fitti g position for her. Filled out my paperwork. Was taken to the back. The dental assistant was the complete opposite. She was warm, friendly, and amazing. What a turnaround!!! Then the dentist/doctor came in, looked at my mouth gave his assessment, told me they don't do what I need and began to walk out... wtf? I had questions. The assistant went and told him my concerns, he told her to do an x-ray. She did it and then he seemed annoyed he had to come back in. There were literally no other patients in the office, sorry for being in pain and bothering you... He said I would need a referral. I go to leave, stand at the front desk and the rude lady at the front said "You're all set" and I said "well what do I do next?" Then some tall guy walks up and asks what I need? Idk what he does or who he is, but he needs to be up front all the time. She was just going to let me walk out with the referral form and without the prescriptions that the doctor was giving me. How rude, unorganized, and unprofessional... And speaking of prescriptions, only 1 of the 3 was good. #1 was fine but it was just a glorified mouthwash. #2 was an antibiotic that made things worse. Had to stop taking it the next day as it caused more pain and #3 was a pain medication that I never got filled. I recognized it as a medicine that my doctor told me to never take as it reacts with something else that I take. After seeing that, I'm like damn now the dentist is trying to kill me. He definitely didn't do a proper consultation. Maybe my appt time was interrupting his lunch? I would never recommend Reliable Dental Care in Orange . They have another (main) location in Waterbury and looking at the positive reviews for that location, the dynamics must be totally different. Even on another platform, the Orange location doesn't have the best reviews. Maybe they just don't care... I see why this location was basically empty (there was 1 senior leaving as i came in.) I'm not exactly sure what they do, and it seemed like no one but the dental assistant was happy to be there or work. Luckily I found a different Dental office the following week that I am extremely satisfied with!

If you're looking for your new dentist, look no further!…read more New to Milford from the West Coast and was looking for my new dental office to call home - I found it here. Every single staff member I talked to yesterday was wonderful and genuinely cared that you walked through the doors and felt comfortable and welcomed. The office looks brand new and is sparkling clean. I did my teeth cleaning - where they had TVs in each of the patient corners- even one on the ceiling - which I thought was a really fun touch. When Dr Jason came in to check on me he found not one, but two cavities - the first ever in my life! He has an opening pretty soon after so I stayed and he took care of them 15 minutes tops. I walked out the door with a smile and a great swag bag of Shoreline Dental merch. This place is the real deal from top to bottom. A special thank you to all the staff that let me ask for advice on drilling a cavity without numbing my whole face - you were all right - it's possible and did not hurt! See you again in 6 months!

If it was possible to leave zero stars I would. Let me explain…read more. I had sensitivity with one of my teeth. I arrived for my appointment and the technician asked me if I had any other concerns which I did, he spoke with the dentist & she advised him to just take images of the teeth that I had concerns of. After the dentist met with me I went to make a follow up appointment regarding my sensitive tooth, I approached the receptionist desk where she was whispering to the receptionist. I was told by the receptionist that the dentist wanted Imaging of all of my teeth & she informed me that my insurance would not cover the x-rays and I would have to pay out-of-pocket reason being that the dentist requested only three images that were just taken by the technician. The dentist was well aware that I had not been to that office in one complete year, why wouldn't she advise the technician to take imaging of all of my teeth? When I asked to speak with the dentist all of a sudden she was busy. This is unethical on her part & quite honestly bad business, she was quite unlikable & made the impression that it was more about making money than giving great care, I will not be returning and I advise anyone to use caution when dealing with Shoreline Dental in Milford Connecticut! (Please take the time to check Shoreline Dental's reviews on Google as well there are quite a few with One star and people complaining about the Care that they received)!! There are plenty of dentists in the area that have reputable reviews!

The appointment had been set for six months! Then I got a nasty attitude and transferred to someone else to schedule another appointment. That was for today, May 8th at 5 p.m. I have attached two emails showing the time of the appointment. In the past three days I have been receiving emails and texts saying my appointment is at 4:15 but I never changed a thing, nor did I speak to anyone about a change. I spoke to someone today who said I could come then but I'd have to wait because there was someone with an appointment at that time. I refuse to come in now, as this makes no sense. *I* had the appointment at 5. I have shown you proof. Yet this is now a month of run-arounds with the office over an appointment which was set now 7 months prior.   This is unacceptable. It's not the first time I've had an issue, but this is twice in a month someone is just blatantly screwing up in the office. I hope this is fixed at some point, as I really don't want to visit this office ever again.

Unfortunately I would never recommend Dr. Mao as a surgeon to perform blepharoplasty. If you are…read moreconsidering blepharoplasty you should see an oculoplastic surgeon/surgeon board certified in Ophthalmology. Dr. Mao's oversight cost me $40,000 in surgical repair fees ($15,000 if done through a less experienced surgeon) from THE BEST surgeon in the country that corrects these issues (lower lid retraction and entropion). The repair surgery involves a graft from the roof of my mouth being used on the back of my eyelid. It's not guaranteed it will even work because the damage to my eye is so extensive. I had been living in horrible discomfort as my lower eye lashes have been turned into my eye. Dr. Mao wasn't able to recommend a protective contact lens to ease the pain. Another surgeon I consulted with recommended it. It was a lifesaver. Immediately following my first surgery with Dr. Mao, I can see the lower lid of my left eye is pulled down. Sadly, nobody caught it at followup appointments until I brought it up. I was consistently told by Amanda that I looked good. Dr Mao performed a second surgery 3 wks post op to correct it, unfortunately only made it worse. One time I woke up and my eye was bleeding in the middle of the night. It was terrifying. After a 3rd surgery with no improvement, I decided to seek a specialist. PLEASE do not have anyone other than an experienced oculoplastic surgeon perform surgery on your eyes. And never have implants inserted into your tear troughs - no oculoplastic surgeon would recommend them. Initially I felt that Amanda was helpful and compassionate but in hindsight I believe she was gaslighting me. She kept telling me I looked great despite specialists telling me I needed grafts to fix the retraction. I never had access to Dr. Mao post op - only Amanda or Arissa. Everything went through Amanda. Dr. Mao's office has not offered any financial assistance towards the specialist repair surgery despite the damage done to my eye. I don't want anyone else to endure this extremely traumatic & costly experience. From my perspective it's important to choose a surgeon to perform the surgery that knows how to correct it should something go wrong.
