Honestly I would have to say that the past 2 years have been the toughest and most stressful years…read moreof my life due to my pending criminal case and everything that comes along with it. But the one thing I can be thankful for is having Mr Riddet as my attorney. He has not only saved me from possibly years of jail time but he has also been very kind, up front and honest about everything from day one and has never made false promises to me. He is a straight shooter and very up front and honest. As a matter of fact the one thing I've noticed about him is that he under promises and over delivers. Both him and his team are the best in the business and honestly the only good thing that has happened to me since my criminal case began. Just to give you a little background on my case, I had a very complicated and high profile criminal case with over 20 felony counts. I probably made over a 100 calls to all kinds of different criminal lawyers and heard all kinds of different sales pitches and as a matter of fact I even hired two other lawyers prior to Mr. Riddet. They were all liars and crooks. Please save your money and do not go with anybody else. This man has saved me from going to jail and has given me a second chance at life. If you are reading this post, I have been exactly where you are today and I have felt the fear, pain and stress of dealing with the nightmare of legal issues but now I can say that I'm a free man and I am in a whole another situation because of Mr. Riddet and his firm. I hope that you take every word of this review to heart and let them save your life. He is top class and is the best at what he does. Mr. Riddet and Mr. Bienert, I simply can't thank you enough for all your hard and kind work but I hope this review would show a bit my gratitude for you and you hard working team. Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!

Thing 1: Your red light ticket is a violation of your 6th amendment right to face your accuser…read more There were no human witnesses and no victims. Fight it. Thing 2: The company that sent it to you just had to pay Chicago $20 million for bribing city officials. Fight them. Thing 3: Our lawyer, Sarah Sager, is great! She fought for us. We just moved to Ventura from Denver and thought this place was paradise. The people, the climate, the food, the culture are wonderful. But, as with anything wonderful, one awful thing has to taint it. In Ventura, that thing is the red light camera stations. They are on nearly every major intersection - except, of course, the ones leading out of city hall, the police station, and the county building. It almost seems like those people enjoy the money we send them, but don't want to experience the burden of getting a ticket from the Glendale Arizona company that runs the intersection cameras, signs witness on the ticket remotely, and profits from all of it. The traffic violation notice was not issued or witnessed by a Ventura citizen, let alone a Ventura Police officer, which makes one wonder why we pay them. If anyone would like to join me in petitioning to line the roads of City Hall and the police dept. with their "Redflex" red light photo enforcement cameras, send me a message! (Also, did you know this company had to pay Chicago $20 million in 2017 for bribery and kickbacks? Look at your city officials and ask yourself how much they took.) In any case, my wife and I met Sarah Sager at a social engagement and she told us part of the expense of living in Ventura is paying the red light violations. She is a super pleasant and warm person and despite her legal expertise, she doesn't come off stiff and lawyer-like. She said if we need a red light, DUI, or other traffic violation lawyer in Ventura or Los Angeles, we should call her. Literally the next day my wife got one. She would have had to slam on the brakes turning left at Victoria and Telegraph, and her 8 months pregnant belly couldn't handle it. 2 weeks later, a photo from the City of Ventura Police Department showed up in our mailbox. But the letter inside was from Arizona and witnessed by two people there who work for the massive Australian company, who's former CEO is currently sitting in jail for bribery. If you are reading this review, you probably had the same first thought we did: "Do I have to pay?" Short answer: Probably yes, but not as much with a good lawyer. So Sarah took our case and the best thing about working with her is that she made it completely painless. The next thing we knew, she had delayed the court date, which was already nice because it gave us more time with our own money. She communicated exactly the right amount. We never felt like we were being ignored, or that we were spending too much of our own time on it. We never even had to show up to court. She sat with the judge and reviewed the evidence against my wife, including video of the red light infraction. She checked to be sure the camera inspection dates were all up to date. And she examined any other possible red light citation loopholes. Next thing we knew, Sarah sent us the judgement that cut our total cost in half! She also arranged traffic school which, despite being a ridiculous waste of my wife's time, did save her the points on her license. Lastly, the satisfaction of knowing the city made less money from their unconstitutional activity because of Sarah's hard work on our behalf is nice. If everyone who got a red light ticket fought it, it would eventually eat up enough court time to make the program unprofitable. Red light tickets are legal right now, but they are a violation of your rights. Please fight this red light ticket scam! If your experience is like mine, it will save you money. Hoping I never have to hire Sarah again, but with the minefield of intersection cameras around Ventura, it seems inevitable. I'm glad to know we've got her in our corner! Definitely will be looking to her to fight my future traffic tickets.

Stephen M Rios - Law Office of Stephen M. Rios

Stephen M Rios

Stephen Rios is hands-down one of the best attorneys I have ever had the pleasure of working with…read more I had a dispute with a former contractor which evolved into a Civil Harassment lawsuit. It was clear I needed representation. I work in the legal field and was referred the Mr. Rios. I was blown away. Tiana runs his office and is both compassionate and efficient; I would love to have a "Tiana" in our own office. Tiana, you are amazing. Mr. Rios attended Berkeley at Boalt Hall and the level of intelligence and strategic analysis capability required to attend that particular school of law was apparent in every step of his representation of me. Beyond his genius, he is supportive and kind but also pragmatic. Mr. Rios had me prepared emotionally and with the appropriate legal elements required to win my case. In trial, he was above reproach. Watching the way in which he approached witnesses was a lesson in civics. His strategy was layered; every point he made was a 2x4 with which he built a house that ensured my success. When the judge issued my orders granting me a 5-year permanent restraining order, the other petitioners and respondents in the courtroom clapped. One petitioner followed us out of the courtroom for his business card and asked to hire him on the spot; 2 others followed me downstairs and got his card so that they could hire him as well. I cannot recommend him enough or ever thank him enough. Words are simply inadequate. If anyone was to find themselves in their own criminal situation, or one involving a criminal or threatening person, I can say without hesitation, Stephen M Rios is your champion. He is certainly mine.
