It treats arthritis at the base of the thumb, often involving a trapeziectomy (removing the trapezium bone) and often a ligament reconstruction - therefore physical therapy is *IMPERATIVE. Casey has been my primary physical therapist and he has been phenomenal. He answers all my ridiculous questions, (patiently), and offers easy to follow suggestions - he's a gem. The staff working the front desk are always upbeat, friendly, and engaging. Aging is no joke kids! One morning you wake up with your 21-year-old mind trapped in a 60ish year-old's body. Ugh.

Talked to the doctor, they took some blood and I left. They called a few days later, everything looks fine. I get a bill for $600. Call the insurance company and see what the problem is. The doctor coded the visit as the appointment was for obesity. That's odd. The insurance company will not pay for visits that are coded for obesity. I explain to the insurance company this was for an initial consultation and check up. The insurance company says if that's the case, it's an easy fix ask the doctors office to resubmit and it will get taken care of. After several phone calls to the doctor office, the doctor refuses to re-code it for a standard checkup, says I have to pay the entire $600 bill. I have never experienced anything like this. Apparently this doctor has something personal against overweight people...

Then she became irritated and argued with me on how the arms should be bent--My face probably registered horror. The fit became worse after she bent them and I told her. All in all, an unpleasant experience. I may try another optical shop in town now, I am afraid of getting her again. Do these people not receive training on adjusting fit? In fact, I've paid for multiple visits at once and paying in advance for a certain number of visits is more inexpensive in the long run. The options have been very well thought out. Wendy is usually at the front to greet you and help you sign in. Tanya's door is open to chat about your payment plans and insurance info. Val always has a smile as she takes you back to your room to lay on the table and relax with or without heat on your back prior to your adjustment with either Bobbie or Courtney. During your adjustment, both Bobbie and Courtney take their time with each patient and listen to you when you say a certain area is still "off" after they adjust you. They don't say "oh, you're fine" and send you on your way. They will both have you get back on the table and work your body until they're able to get the area loosened to the best of their abilities. I always have them adjust my knees, ankles (old soccer injuries), wrists, and fingers every time I go in. Not just my back and neck. I 100% recommend you go to them!
