My husband urged me to go to an acupuncturist for my shoulder pain, and since Laurie accepted my insurance and had amazing reviews and credentials, I decided to see her. Her treatment and care worked wonders, and I have been seeing her off and on through the last decade for different problems that I have had. I have also seen other acupuncturists, but they didn't seem nearly as knowledgeable, technical or personable as Laurie. So far, I have seen Laurie for: - Muscle pain behind my right shoulder blade and neck - Muscle pain in my middle back - Pain in my sacrum area from carrying around my toddler - Fertility and pregnancy-related things - Insomnia Her treatment has made real, significant differences in resolving/healing the above issues. She turned me from being a skeptic of Oriental Medicine to a believer in its effectiveness with credentialed and knowledgeable practitioners. I also appreciate her conservative approach, and genuine concern for you to get better. She never advocates a "standing appointment" (ie - you need to always see her every week). Her goal is to get you better as quickly as possible, not to make money. I appreciate that very much. A huge "nice to have" is that she also accepts insurance for covered diagnoses and processes claims when you are within her insurance networks. She is in many insurance networks, and her assistant takes the time to call and figure out your coverage for you. It was so nice and convenient! Also, I need to give a special shout out to Bianca, her assistant. Bianca is great, efficient, and proactively follows up on administrative items. I called on a Friday evening about a potential billing issue to my credit card, but I learned over the weekend that I was wrong. Bianca called ME on Monday to see if there was still any issue. But Laurie's amazing! She was recommended to me by Michelle Graves (who is also amazing) when Michelle was on leave. I never thought about this until I read someone else's review but Laurie really is a wonderful listener with a calming presence. I've had a lot of stress in my life in the past from work and a car accident. Seeing Laurie improves my pain level and overall health. But I always leave Laurie's office much more relaxed and less stressed - I think in part it's her presence in addition to her skills as an acupuncturist. She takes care of muscle spasms, allerigies, insomnia, stress to just name a few. Like Teresa said, she will also offer suggestions for herbal remedies (even via email) and never pushes a sell which I've experienced before. I'm torn between Laurie and Michelle because both are the best. Bonus is Laurie has night hours. I do miss her Saturday hours though because it was nice to have the option to not cram in a session during the work week. She also accepts Blue Cross PPO.

Ryan conducted a computer assisted exam that helped pinpoint not only the point of pain I was there to treat, but other areas in my body where I was compensating and creating other imbalances. After the exam, he did the first adjustment and I felt so much better. We developed a plan of care together to help me understand the problem and the solutions and with a few more treatments I regained normal range of pain free movement. Both Ryan and Stacy were available to do adjustments at times that fit into my schedule. I was so happy with their care, and they made it clear that my input was important. To work out you just have to call the number on the windows to get a membership -- one of the owners will arrange a time to meet you. If you just want to drop in for a daily workout, you have to knock on door for someone to let you in and then you just drop $5 in the drop slot. Pretty slick!
