My last several visits I practiced beginners Tai Chi at sunset. The park is on the beach and offers a free private parking lot. This is a great place to practice Tai Chi as the ocean noizes help you relax. The grass in the center of the park is soft so I'm sure it's also good for yoga. There were a couple of public restrooms open from daylight to dusk. You will also find lots of dogs being walked in the area. If you're looking for a beachfront park look no further.

Considering how busy the beach can get at times I'm not going to say there will always be a space open, but your chances of finding a parking space are much better than other beachfront parks...and it's free. The park not only has a large parking lot, but it has restrooms and beach showers. There are boardwalks going out to the beach as well for ease and protection of the dunes. If you are in the park a little after dusk and/or before the first light, please know the parking lot has lighting for safety. Aside from the above, there are sheltered picnic areas, a large grassy area for just chillin' or playin' around, a sand volleyball court, and educational information signs about the area/Jacksonville Beach. Plus, there are concrete figures for you to enjoy, take pictures of or selfies, kids to play on, or whatever. In the center of the park, there is a bronze statue which is considered the focal point of the park. It is meant to symbolize the dedication to preserving public access to the beach for generations to come. If you are local or a tourist and haven't been to this beach...put it on your list to check out. Even if you just want to enjoy an early evening walk on the beach instead of a day at the beach...this beach is perfect for a little something different. There is handicapped parking, handicapped access to the beach, and to the grassy area. (Please note: Across the street from the grassy area is UNF's Seaside Sculpture Park--another good place to check out if you have time.)

Parking is tricky on Sundays - the market was packed. The park itself is so nice and I love how the vendors were set up all throughout. I also noticed there were restrooms that were not port a pottys. They had a variety of vendors, food trucks, etc. This market is bigger than I expected, and I will go even earlier next time.

It was nice to walk then sit and enjoy the views. There is a kayak launch point, and plenty of trash cans. At the beginning of the trail is bathrooms and a parking lot with plenty of parking spaces. Came here just for a little walk and to check out the courts and they were busy, there's not a lot of of them so that's probably why they're so busy but the park itself is so beautiful and well-maintained. There's a little lake in the middle and even a community garden that you can stroll through. It was very quaint and small but perfect for a little stroll and there were even some cute ducks here. I would love to try to come to play pickle ball one day and find out the best time to do so. It's so nice to have parks like this in the area to get outside!

There are hiking trails , biking trails and easy walking paths inland and on the beach. Parking is spacious, didn't use the bathrooms but there is also a nice size park for the kids. Military and vets (& family of for that matter) entry is $2.50/person with ID. One of the few places honoring the discount.
