Enjoying a pizza like a real New Yorker thin and cheesy
Vivian H.

I'm from New York City, joe's Italian Grill takes me down memory lane. This is the pizza I grew up with big and lots of cheese. I just love it.!

Joe's Italian Grill, a Very Nice Restaurant with delicious pizzas, serving pasta & seafood dishes too! Plus, and amazing steaks!

Joe's Italian Grill is magnificent. The waiters are kind and helpful. The food is excellent, as it is made fresh. They serve pizza, pasta, salad, and specialty dishes! My preference is the seafood pasta! Lol A little secret of mine is as a food critic, I view a restaurant by the quality of their napkins. Yep, If the napkins are worthy and probably cost a bit then the owner of the establishment cares about the rest of the inner workings of his or her place. As well as of the product and the quality of the food! Delicious I hope! I suggest you go a d have lunch or dinner there. It was very good! Well enjoy, Bon appétit

Shrimp pasta. Sorry I didn't take the picture before I started eating.

The food was awesome. Madison my waitress was very attentive. Kind and I like her knowledge of the menu and her pleasant hospitality. Probably the best place to eat in this whole town.

Kids cheese pizza

Always a great time at Joes! Super family friendly! Our baby girl was not having it being in a high chair and the staff went out of their way to make her feel happy again with a balloon. Big portions, decent prices and excellent taste. Cannot recommend them enough.

Service was great! Food so far best in town everything is fresh food nothing precooked. Will be going back.

The service was quick and they kept our drinks filled. We went on a Friday at 5 and got our food quickly. They asked us what we thought but I hesitated to tell them everything. The two things we ordered were chicken piccata and a calzone. The calzone was great and priced well. The chicken picatta had a bland flavor. I was hungry and ate a third of it. It is priced at 16.99$. They fill your plate with pasta juice and some very bland dry chicken. I have made my own chicken piccata and it is much better. The menu says that the chicken is pan fried in butter. I expected golden delicious pan fried chicken. What I got was white boiled very over cooked boneless skinless chicken breast. It felt like all the ingredients were subpar. I buy better ingredients for my own cooking at a better price than their low quality chicken and pasta. The capers were flavorless as well and the one or two spriggles of green onions did not do anything to save the dish. I added some of the Parmesan cheese they supply at the table but once again the cheese had no flavor.. just not high quality. My husband enjoyed the calzone and he thought it was good. He wanted a side of Alfredo noodles but the waitress thought he had said a side of sauce for his calzone. The Alfredo sauce had a weird flavor. I make super delicious sauce with butter, cream, a little pepper and Parmesan. Their butter is not very good. In fact it tasted like subpar margarine... ugh anyways the ambiance was ok. Luckily they had a lot of napkins at the table which I appreciated. The red and white checked vinyl tablecloths are cute and the chairs are industrial cheap restaurant seating. I was really looking forward to a nice restaurant in Leesville. They could put a little more into decor and lighting. They reused the lighting and decor from fox's it even has the same layout. I'm not sure why it took so long to open. I will try it for lunch next week and see if it gets any better.

Grilled salmon with sauteed veggies.

The food was absolutely delicious. Our server was super sweet and attentive. Not what you would expect in this town. you will not be disappointed. Cute little restaurant.

The ambiance and service made it the perfect place to spend our anniversary…read more The server brought out bread and it reminded me of the bread my grandma used to make when I was a little girl. Our server went over the specials without looking at notes and went into extensive detail of each dish. She also took our order without writing anything down. We started with crabcakes as an appetizer and it was phenomenal and I am picky about my crabcakes. My boyfriend ordered lobster ravioli it was okay, not something I would order again, but the star of the show was the highly recommended special which was red snapper topped with sautéed crawfish over a pesto cream sauce. They gave a generous portion. I brought the rest home as leftovers and our server even gave me bread in my to go bag. Needless to say we left stuffed but I had to try a cannoli to go and it didn't disappoint either. This was my first time here and I already can't wait to go back.

I ordered one of the Verona specials ( $22.00): the shrimp and ravioli dish (cheese ravioli in a cream sauce with sautéed shrimp, sun‑dried tomatoes, and asparagus). Compared to my meal from two years ago, this was a huge improvement. I'm not sure if they have a new chef or if the previous one has simply stepped up their game, but whatever changed, it worked. The food came out nice and hot, and everything was on point. My waitress was engaging and attentive without being overbearing, which made the experience even better. Total for meal including tip was $38.

He had knowledge of the menu and what was available (I had asked for a specific pasta that wasn't available). He was excellent and I greatly appreciate his honesty up front about the pasta requested. The atmosphere was nice especially for our area, and it was very well lit. To the food: The Caesar salad was one of the greenest and nicest salads around. The leaves were nice and dry (helps to adhere the dressing), the freshly grated mozzarella on top was tasty, and the dressing was absolutely delicious! The Chicken Ala Casa was creamy and buttery in flavor. The chicken was juicy and perfectly cooked. The portion was very large! I took home about 1/2, because I mainly don't eat a lot. It was a wonderful dish! The Lobster Ravioli was spectacular. It is on the back of the menu as a special. The pasta was filled nicely with lobster and had a great seafood taste and was well seasoned. The shrimp and chunked tomatoes were delicious in the sauce. There was quite a bit of sauce on the plate which made it all the better to dip the delicious bread in. Overall experience was wonderful! We will definitely be back. As a matter of fact most of the customers in there tonight were repeat customers. Bravo to Joe's!

The waiter gets a 5 star review from us because I felt so bad for her to have to do EVERYTHING alone for 20 people and she was kind & tried her very best to do a good job but it's humanly impossible for 1 person to serve 20 people ordering appetizers, cocktails AND meals. Just the task of bringing waters to the table took her 4 trips so imagine all the cocktails & refill requests!! We were there 2 HOURS before eating! Thank goodness the food was good and the company was even better so we enjoyed our evening but shame on Tunks manager/owners for not preparing better for a busy Friday night that included a wedding party reservation for 20 that they knew about way ahead of time so could've prepared accordingly. The place needs to be renovated really bad! I appreciated the nostalgia of stepping back into time when life was simpler but the overall feeling is a bit dirty and the bottom deck had soft spots, the concrete walkway out to the lawn had sunken areas so be careful and the cats were begging while the carpenter bees were feasting! The scenery is beautiful at sunset and was a perfect spot to take pictures. The cocktails were good but had very little alcohol so we switched to beer. The beer prices are CHEAP! $4 for a Stella appetizers were huge and the prices were good, only $15 for 3 huge full plates so can feed a lot of hungry people while waiting on what seemed like forever to order. I'd go back if in the area since the food was good but since I'm out of town most likely wouldn't drive just to come for dinner. I highly suggest if paying for the private room and arriving with a lot of people to make sure you request 2-3 servers so you're not there for 4 hours!

I came with my dad and husband on a Saturday right when they opened at 4:30 and we were promptly seated (the oyster bar downstairs looked like it was already pretty busy!) We were seated by the window in the dining room when you first walk in so I had a beauty beautiful view of the lake, swamp trees and birds, and sunset while I ate! We were greeted by a sweet blonde curly waitress (I don't think she said her name) and quickly served our drinks of choice. I chose sweet tea because I was in the deep south and they make it the best! For our appetizer we shared the Shrimp en Brochette with waffle fries. Overall the stuffed shrimp were very good and fresh, although I may ask them to cook the bacon a little harder next time. THE SAUCES were the star of the show, so much so that I dipped the waffle fries in all of them. No clue what they were, but my best guess is a Parmesan cream sauce, melted butter sauce with a hint of lemon, and some sort of brown sugar or caramel sauce with black pepper. The brown sauce and the Parmesan cream sauce were my absolute favorite and I could not get enough of them! I even got my dad hooked to dipping the waffle fries in the brown sauce! I had the Snapper Ponchartrain for my entrée with garlic mashed potatoes, and a side salad with homemade thousand island dressing. Both sides were very good. The salad was fresh and served in a chilled bowl, the mashed potatoes were perfectly whipped in garlicky buttery goodness, and the bread was reminiscent of a beignet without the powder sugar! Again, the homemade sauces for the salad and the fish were the stars of the show! The fish was delicious and fresh however, I feel like it could not compete with my taste of the Snapper Sandy that my dad got! I am definitely ordering that cheesy goodness next time I am there! For dessert, I had the bread pudding to go! The only thing I would do differently is ask for the sauce on the side, but the bread pudding was delicious and nice and saucy by the time I had it at home! Again, another sauce star! Overall, I was very pleased with my experience and still obsessing over the sauces! Great to see this restaurant still doing well after all this time!

This is definitely going on the date night list!…read more The Scene Villa Harlequin gives a more upscale, intimate dining experience - the vibe feels both classic and local at the same time. It's the kind of place you go for a nice dinner, date night, or when you just want to slow down and enjoy a full meal. The Eats We started with drinks - my husband had The Italiano, which was smooth and well-balanced, and I went with a Hedges Family Wine, which paired nicely with dinner. For the meal: My husband had a house salad and the pan-seared fish, which was cooked well and complemented by the kind of rich, flavorful sauces they're known for. I went with the wedge salad and the surf & turf, and listen...this is where they shine. The surf & turf is a standout - steak paired with seafood and a bold, flavorful sauce that leans into that fusion they're known for. Everything came out well-prepared, plated nicely, and felt like a complete dining experience rather than just a quick meal. The Service Service was attentive and polished without being overbearing. Drinks stayed filled, courses came out at a comfortable pace, and the staff made sure everything flowed smoothly. It matched the overall feel of the restaurant - thoughtful and consistent. Parting Thoughts Between the cocktails, the wine, and standout dishes like the surf & turf, it delivers a well-rounded experience.
