It doesn't take long to feel like you are a member of their family, too. Always there for all your dental health needs. From semi-annual hygiene visits to restorative/reconstructive care. Comfort is Rule 1. Their opinions are honest and straight forward; always willing to work with you and the web of dental insurance. I have been a patient at this practice for eons. I started out with Dr. Epstein, who is now enjoying a well deserved retirement. Since Dr. Giannatti and Dr. Annicelle co-captain the bridge (no pun intended), the practice has hence been navigating the waters of new technology and techniques. I amazed every time I visit they have a "technical toy" to show me. Their practice is on top of things and I can't pass enough praise for helping to keep this "old boy" smiling.

I was told they were deteriorating and I should come back as soon as next week to replace them. Make an appointment. This was explained to me as urgent. I switched dentists. My reasoning was this; while the original fillings were done the same day, there is no way all of them could be in need of replacement at the same time. As of September 2020 I still have the original fillings that I was made to feel were in urgent need of replacement with no issues. I specifically asked my new dentist about these fillings on my recent visit, he stated they were in great shape. I understand medical opinions are just that opinions, but I did not like what felt like at best a cavalier, and at worst a life insurance sales person pitch. The real complaint I have, is my wife quit the practice several months later with the same experience. She was decent enough to call the office and complain. She was told be staff she would get a call from the doctor. She did not. My suggestion, bother to get a second opinion from another dental office.

Sure, I have 2 cavities to get filled in a few weeks (bleghhhh, wahhh) but I definitely appreciate Dr. Freedman's expertise, personable nature, AND the fact that he's a great painter (his artwork is on the office walls - pretty rad). I've had two different dental hygienists on my two visits and both Dawn and (i forget the other gal's name) were SO kind. One even cared (or pretended to care, either is fine with me) about my new volunteer venture as a cat cuddler at the Humane Society. I digress. Cool, asked if I would be able to be seen before then. Was asked for what. Explained i was having tooth pain and that my other dentist had limited treatment options. was rudely told "this isn't a pain clinic" and "they don't provide second opinions". i was looking to switch to a dentist that would treat my tooth pain, not an emergency visit. Wanted essentially a second opinion but also to switch to someone with less limited treatment options. Wanted to see how this dentist would treat me and if the care here would be better than my previous dentist which is basically a second opinion but also not at the same time, it doesn't really matter and this woman conflated it way more than it needed to be. I asked if they treat tooth pain and was told they do for existing patients only. asked if i could become a patient she said yes if you're not planning on switching insurance, after already informing me that they will not be taking my insurance after December. Just plain rude and confusing. Why would i call and ask if a place takes my insurance and try to set up an appt if i was going to switch???
