    Strawberry field

This cute little farm in Bixby has fresh lettuces, onions, honey and many other items grown right there on the farm or other locally grown items. But in my opinion, the star at Joe's Farm are the U-pick-em strawberries. This is hands down the best place to pick strawberries in the Tulsa area! They have a large field of large and tasty certified organic strawberries. We can usually pick a huge bucket full in about 10 minutes because they have so many. I've picked berries at several places and their strawberries are the best quality I've seen. (Side note: go to Owasso Tree Farm for blackberries and Thunderbird for blueberries). It's also a fun family activity; my kids love to pick berries. The large overflowing basket in my pic was only $30. In addition, they have a little store that offers milk, eggs, meat and fresh produce.

I still stock up on bargains at Costco and Sam's but I enjoy the deli and bakery at Fresh Market. They are several notches above delis and bakeries at most groceries. The employees are super friendly. This week, I had to return something and was impressed with how easy and pleasant it is to do that. I bought a bag of rotten lemons. That can happen at any grocery store. The lemons were in a yellow bag and not easy to see and they hadn't started smelling yet. I was amazed at how quick and easy the return was and how friendly the employee handling the return was. Even though Fresh Market is a little pricey, they do have specials

With the mission to bring delicious prepared meals, exceptional quality meat and seafood, peak season produce, decadent baked goods, and fresh seasonal flowers, it certainly has succeeded its mission. The high quality and specialty products unfortunately also carry with it the higher price tags. The Fresh Market is among the most expensive of the high end markets. They have an Ultimate Loyalty Experience, but the cashier couldn't tell me the actual benefits. I think it's similar to Reasor's Rewards with weekly specials. They reportedly have the Tuesday specials (to be confirmed): ground chuck and boneless chicken breast for $2.99 per pound. They also have The Little Big Meal that rotates weekly. For those interested in cooking, they have many recipes on their websites which is unique. If you love the neatness and cleanliness of Reasor's then you are going to love The Fresh Market. I cruised through the store and was thoroughly impressed. Shelves and produce were neatly stocked. Deli products and meats looked really fresh. The quality was definitely there as well as the price tags. I am just not sure if I am the target audience of The Fresh Market, definitely gearing more toward affluent people.

Date night at a grocery store? Then I started dating my husband, who was living close by at the time, and I jokingly suggested that we pop in here for date night because dance moms suggested. It was actually great! The store is huge with plenty of selections of things that you may need. There are still plenty of specialty items that you would have to go to Winco or an ethnic grocery store for, but by Reasors standards, very robust! The deli and prepared food section is insane! So many options all the time. Friday nights they have live music on the patio, and people are out there having date night, family night, and just enjoying a good time.

This store offers amenities that you won't be able to find at other stores including a bar, an outdoor patio with live music, a playground, a sushi station, and a cafe. Opened in August 2024, this store looks immaculate catering a high-end experience. I am blown away by the designs of the curbside, pharmacy drive-through, and the bathroom white tiles. Shopping for groceries at Reasor's feels like shopping at a high-end store for a not-so-high-end price. The produces are mostly fresh with some goods not too great at times. These are far and few in between visits though.
