Dean came that afternoon, looked the job over, gave me a fair price, began work the next week. He covered my floors, and stairs, cleaned up before he left. Noticed several other issues I had while he was here, one a light in basement, and the other water faucet leaking, he did not try to add things to run the bill up, which I appreciated. The basement was redone sue to a leak less than a year ago, so I was very thankful he saw, told me, and took care of issues that should have been done before. Any other home needs I have I will be call DNA right away.

I have lived in my home for 12 years now and have always felt that my HVAC was not installed properly. Even during install (by a different company by the way) the tech person called another tech person to come over and help him. When I asked is there something wrong, he said "nope." So here is why I've always felt it wasn't working properly. During the winter when the heat pump goes into defrost mode the system blows ice-cold air out of the vent in the house. That's not good! The work the heat pump just did with warm air was immediately cancelled by the ice-cold air, so my heat pump ran constantly, and my bill was very high in the winter. So, I have had 3 other companies out over the years to fix it, but "everyone of them", including the installers said, "that's just the way it works." :-) Who's training these people??? So, I decided to ask my parents who they use and they said Durbin H&C and they are nice, professional and knowledgeable people and we haven't had any issues with them for years! So, I called and sure enough Susan was very nice and because of my issue she said I'm going to send the owner of the company out to you, Brent. Well Brent was just as nice, and he FIX MY HEAT PUMP!!!! To make a long story short, :-) the original installer had hooked up a couple of wires wrong (use the wrong colors from outside to inside, duh) and the white wire that gets the signal to turn on the heating elements during defrost mode was wired to the outdoor thermostat. I couldn't believe it, well, yes I could. But not only was the most important function during winter not working these last 12 years, we have missed out on knowing what the temperature is outside all these years right on our thermostat screen and have had to check a weather app or the internet instead. Now all we have to do is look at our thermostat as see it's 21 degrees outside. Fantastic! So, if you need an HVAC company, and don't want problems, or are tired of the problems you have suffered for years, then you need to call Durbin H&C and all your troubles will be gone. REALLY!!!!

Durbin Heating came out and fixed everything. Now it looks professionally installed and works as it should. I had two other companies come out to try and fix this situation. They either didn't know how or couldn't follow directions, and then charged me a service fee for basically doing nothing but looking at my system. Then I found Durbin. They listened to my issues with someone else's install job, and they also pointed out a few they saw. Then they set out and fixed them all. I am so grateful to Durbin Heating. "It's hard to find good help" as the old saying goes. Well, I feel like I've found it with Durbin Heating. They will be doing all my service work from here on out.

Mitchell was very knowledgeable and I couldn't have been happier with everything he did. It started with the moment that I saw they wore booties when they came in my house, and took them off before they went outside. (Unfortunately, so many people think it is okay to wear booties outside and then come back in your house ~ not sure what they are thinking)? Mitchell did a wonderful job on everything and he and his Dad were incredibly neat. There was no sign of them doing any work. Everything had been cleaned vacuumed perfectly. I highly recommend Knock Knock for any HVAC work you need to have done. I don't say that easily. My husband owns a remodeling company and I have seen many shady people in this industry. Mitchell truly stands out and is a very genuine person.

The owner came to my home examined the job, told me what was wrong and explained the process. He told me what materials he would be using and a timeline to complete the project. His quote was not the cheapest and far from the most expensive. On the work day he showed up on time. Mapped out the project and started. Since his crew is experienced they quickly dug the trench and replaced the line in a matter of hours, (not days that some others estimated). Tj who is a very experienced plumber did all of the connections himself and double checked everything. Then they poured a bed of sand around the line to protect it from rocks and stones. Next they carefully filled it in about 6 inches at a time compacting it so the ground wouldn't sink later. Here's why I chose TJ's Plumbing ... 1. Reasonable FLAT RATE price 2. Proper materials used. 3. Experienced plumbers did the work 4. Owner oversaw the entire project 5. Work done in a timely manner 6. Professional workmanship 7. Cleanup done after completed.

However, after allowing HoehnContracting to service my system I noticed the system had stopped running, and I had asked Paul to look at the system because it was not running! Paul took it upon himself to replace my $89 timer box with one of his choosing, and without my consent, and after which, he lied to me about the cost of the timer and told me it was $425 ! When in fact, it only cost $224 ... along with a service charge fee of $125 if that wasn't bad enough when I told him that he could have replaced it with an $89 timer, and that I did not want that timer for $425, he said he would take his timer back, but in doing so, he took all of the wiring for my timer, that was originally there and hardwired from the house, he now has it cut off at the bottom of the tank with a female plug and nothing from that point to the surface where the timer box is! He then left with his new timer in hand and the wiring for my system ! That wiring, was there before he decided to take it upon himself to do anything without my permission or consent The sad thing is, I had this done for my stepdaughter who is a single mother of two teenage boys and struggling to make ends meet, and now, with Paul taking the wiring, I am unable to put the $89 timer in to make her system operational. The only thing Paul chose to do was have his employee bring back a decrepit old rotted wire and dropped it on the ground and pretty much said here you go do it yourself. Even if the cord were long enough to reach the bottom, which it was not, it was far too decrepit to risk a fire just because someone got mad that they didn't make an extra $200 off of a 100% mark up , and then lie about it! Now I should mention that the system is a good six / eight feet underground! i'm in my 60s and completely disabled, and he expects me to crawl down in that hole and fix what he tore up A police report has been filed and I am awaiting that report for further action!

Trying to find someone who had done this type of repair work in Hamilton County was not easy. Luckily I found Paul Hoehn and he explained what needed to be done, that he had done it before, and while it would not be cheap the system would be able to be saved. What a relief. The location of the system was on a hill and not easily accessible. Paul planned out the correct equipment to complete the project quickly and safely. Paul made sure we were without septic service for the shortest amount of time(probably 5 hours) during the repair. He was in constant communication with us. Providing pictures as the job progressed. It took about 3 days from start to finish, be we are so happy to have a fully functioning system again. Paul and Scott were both very respectful of our situation and worked to get us back in service quickly. I'm sure this repair will last for many years. If you have an issue with a septic system give them a call. We can not say how happy we are that we did.
